With that final punch, the demon is no more.

Nice job everyone. That was a severe encounter, and you folks rocked it.

The library is a real mess. It's hard to imagine that there is much salvageable here, but you notice that the book one of the demons dropped when it attacked you is a formula book. The book contains formulas for lesser elixir of life, moderate cheetah’s elixir, and moderate eagle-eye elixir.

Catching his breath while trying not to inhale and demon stink, Orm suggests, "Perhaps we find a cell or two to hide in and rest. It was quite a hike to get here, and we are battered and bruised. A night's rest would put us in a good position to clear out the rest of the demonic taint. Unless you think we should leave this place and camp outside. I presume you also drag the demon's body somewhere a little less conspicuous. If you all don't mind, we'll just handwave watches and, should an ambush occur, I'll just roll to see who was on watch. (Let me know if you have objections to that. I just feel like setting up the watch tends to take up more time than is enjoyable.)

Inside the librarian's room, you get what rest you can. From somewhere deep inside the hermitage, you hear the howls of large animals.

After a tense rest, you continue to explore the interior of the hermitage.

Continuing your circuit of the rooms, you discover only more dormatory rooms, and a couple of noisome privies, their ceilings hung with herbs to mask the smell.

Decenting the steps to the north, you find yourselves in a long room lined with rusted iron cages and some tall cabinets. The air here has the smell of animals long kept indoors. The floor is covered in tile. A doors exits to the east and a short hallway to the west leads to an area with what appears to be a large animal habitat.

Wooden cupboards on the south wall of this room hold veterinary medicine, animal food, bandages, and other items necessary for the long-term care of animals of various size. A pair of sturdy gloves is nestled amid the bandages.

I apologies for my absence, i've been ruffled up pretty hard last few days. I should be all caught up now.

Papillon expresses her concern of resting inside this dangerous place, "Are you sure this is safe? I am not sure what those two priests would do it they find their demon friends slaughtered." Nevertheless, she relents, and helps patch up the group, before getting as broken up sleep as she can.

While she rest's her thoughts are of the circus, but she get's a nightmare where Mistress Dusklight invades her dreams before waking. "What is happening here, since when did I become a demon hunter? Did the Mistress set me on this path...?" She wakes up in a sweat, but quickly brushes it off to start her shift.

...

In the morning, she looks refreshed, but still worn from the previous day. "Well, at least now i can feel Desna's presence a little more potently again. I should be able to heal your wounds with her light again." She smiles at her companion, before pressing on.

Okay, i have recovered my abilities.

Myth-Speaker Prey for Death

As prepared as you are going to be, Orm throws open the door. This large, stone chamber has a smooth tile floor bearing abstract spiral patterns that evoke whirlpools or tornados. Four small glowing orbs, one in each corner, brightly illuminate the room. Hooks on the walls hold wicker
baskets with dozens of fur, felt, and bone toys clearly intended for animals. The center of the floor bears a large circle of spiky glyphs drawn in blood. Inside the circle, a leopard rippling with dark energy is tied, struggling against the ritual.

A priest looks up from chanting and says, "Stop them. The transformation must not be interrupted."

An angry stormcloud shaped like a hawk swoops toward you.

dmg 1?: 1d8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 1 = 6

Attack 2: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 4 + 1 = 18
dmg 2?: 1d8 + 4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 1 + 1 = 11

Attack 3: 1d20 - 1 + 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 + 1 = 5
dmg 3?: 1d8 + 4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 4 + 1 + 1 = 14

Note I rolled wrong dice on my prior attacks, since I wasn’t yet in a stance. I should have been a d6 not a d8. I’ll reroll and you can take the point differential back.

1d6 ⇒ 3 so that's 4 less

Myth-Speaker Prey for Death

Orm's attacks miss the cloud. (Had to check. This thing has a high AC!)

The whispy elemental swoops over and slashes twice at Thelonius, then swoops back to attack Orm.

Circling Attack 1 (Junebug): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30 for slashing: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Circling Attack 2 (Junebug): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13 for slashing: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
wing (Orm): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22 for slashing: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Papillon looks a little bit ticked off at the priest, "Are you still using Gozrehs name in vane, or do you really believe all this devil worship is in the name of Gozreh? Do you really wish to test his wrath?" She quickly steps forward to Orm and plants her small hands on his back, "At least I know that Desna is always with me." She heals her companion.

Matt, is the elemental at ground level? Trying to catch him and Red in a line effect.

Myth-Speaker Prey for Death

Yes, they are both at ground level.
