The div targets Shadow as she was the one that did most of the damage to her.

Ah, I was apparently getting Shield Companion confused with Shield Companion - which is an immediate action to take all damage.

Having two spells with similar effects and the same name is a terrible idea, Paizo!

@Seif, how are you able to deliver the touch spells to Shadow? Share spell still requires a touch, so what am I missing?

Malgrim is everywhere, unable to hit squat.

Gnasher hits with the hasted attack and...
resist demoralize: 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (12) + 28 = 40
... is not demoralized. Is seems to know all the intimidation tricks itself and is not bothered.

Forgot to apply fast healing last round, so Gnasher is at -42 prior to the Div's attack.

The Div resorts to the stone storm and everyone takes

Malgrim proves very nimble AND resistant.

The div takes some damage from the mud, but not much, as it also has DR. It is going to take more damage than an orc usually deals to take this big bad fellow down.

Then there is Gnasher, who could do that kind of damage but just doesn't.

A scroll falls to the ground and you hear Urah mutter something arcane or divine, the writing disappears, and Sief's wounds start to heal. The breath of life spell immediately heals 5d8 + 9 ⇒ (2, 7, 8, 6, 5) + 9 = 37 damage raising Seif to life and consciousness, but he then falls unconscious.

Urah only has one of these scrolls so the next time will be more difficult to deal with. Also Seif has 1 negative level damage for a day which is why he is not conscious.

Totally missed his part of the post.

Seeing the horned fellow fall, Gnasher releases the rage, and Quickly draws out his wand of infernal healing. Nodding to Urah, he taps Seif-al-Din with the wand, turning to Shadow he tells the tiger, "Seif-al-Din be ok."

You find a +1 falchion on the body. It is a sized for a large creature, though, and not much use to you.

Nodding in agreement with Malgrim Gnasher examines the large falchion for a moment. Untying his 'bag' from his pack he begins stuffing the blade into it, saying as he does so, "Keep weapon for Gilbin."

Having finished storing the blade he looks towards Seif-al-Din, asking, "Should tribe find place to rest?"

As he speaks, curiosity getting the better of him, he moves towards the door on the southwest wall and after inspecting it, cautiously opens it.

He'll take 10() on perception checking the door before he opens it.

Area D17a is a balcony overlooking the Noble District; the ground is 100 feet below. No traps, just a nice place to hang out.

As they stand at the balcony overlooking the odd city, Gnasher, planning on charging the wand after they rest, uses its last two charges on himself. Asking, "Tribe us spells to heal a little, then rest?"

What spells do we need Urah to use on who? Also, I'm good with resting here if that's best.

Are you going to rest a day? That way you would all heal up fully, lose the negative level, and, best of all, NO MATH.

Realizing his wand had not effected Seif-al-Din enough to rouse the oracle, Gnasher turns to Urah asking, "Urah heal Seif-al-Din?"

Could URah cast cure serious wounds on Seif-al-Din?

I have two points in my Buffer. Use a buffer point to do a Kinetic Heal on Malgrim, and the second point to do a Heal on Seif.

Kinetic Heal on Malgrim: 6d6 + 14 + 8 ⇒ (3, 5, 1, 5, 2, 2) + 14 + 8 = 40

Kinetic Heal on Seif: 6d6 + 14 + 8 ⇒ (4, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5) + 14 + 8 = 38

Nodding in agreement, Gnasher "Tribe rest, give fancy sword to Gilbin later."

He leaves the balcony overlooking the city and returns to the simple parlor D16 and closes the door, Closing the second door, D17 he grabs the body of the dead Div by the heel, dragging it through the room to the patio. Unceremoniously tossing the body over the rail, returning to the main room, he uprights one of the parlor chairs that had been piled against the door. Placing it against the door he takes a seat adding, "Room safe but Gnasher keep watch."

Just some fluff to celebrate posting again, anything interesting happen while we're resting, or are we good to go? Can Urah burn the rest of his spells healing us so when we awaken we're at full HP?

Malgrim rests and then wakes and goes through adding new Burn to his buffer and regaining his shield and damage reduction. "This place is dangerous. We should be wary as we go." Malgrim says as he moves to search a new area.

Someone has been doing checks and D15 is not checked, but I think we finished that. So Malgrim will head to the double doors south of D2 and take ten to search for traps which gets him a 33.


I was adding checks to rooms, but that was when a bunch of rooms were revealed to you before you visited them. I think you visited them all at this point so I should just remove the check marks.

You do not hear anything interesting coming from the room and the doors are not trapped.

Malgrim looks at his companions and when they nod he will push open the doors.


A covered pavilion composed of twisting brass columns inset with ivory and precious stones encloses a cushioned throne at the center of this huge circular audience chamber. Less ornate chairs sit on smaller extensions of the central pavilion to each side, while giant curtains composed of fine brass links cover passageways on either flank, with a third, smaller one to the east. Fire pits shimmer with barely contained heat, and a deep pit is visible beyond the throne.

Seated upon the central throne is a translucent, clean-shaven dwarf clad in expensive robes, eyes aglow with a hellish light. As Malgrim enters it says "Bow before the “Master of the Haunted Palace.”

You may adjust the locations of your characters at this point.

'Translucent dwarf' suggests some sort of ghost to me, so...

Seif-al-Din attempts to quietly identify what manner of creature the 'dwarf' is.

Edit: He would have used one of his first level spell slots to recharge his wand.

This is a vengeful spirit known as a darnoc. Now forever denied peace, the spiteful spirit is relegated as a doorkeeper. This is a unique specimen and the DC to identify it is 27 so you get to ask three questions about it from the list pointed to by the Knowledge Skill Success Topics link.


The creature grows irate and violent at Gnasher's comment. Combat is imminent.

You do know that it will return in 2d6 rounds if not laid to rest, but you have no idea how to do this. Each of these things has their own unique trigger. You would probably be able to discern what that was if you could talk to it, but that whole bowing thing has it all aggravated.

It has the ability to produce a symbol of discord which will cause you to bicker uselessly if a DC 25 will save is missed. The good news is that it will not activate unless you are within 60' of it.

It has channel resistance +2, incorporeal; Immune cold, undead traits; SR 25; frightful presence
