Game Master Archae

A Kobold only survival Kingmaker style game, where the pc's must venture into unknown home brew lands.

So, 2000 GP each. I don't need much in the way of equipment yet besides a chain shirt, and however much to costs to transcribe things into Harkness' formula book. Also another book would be good.

If each of us spends 40 GP on a pack beetle, Wxyar could train them up to battle beetles without the extra cost. That way, we can have a caravan set-up to bring supplies back and forth for now with extra guards built in.

Splitting the cost of a CLW wands four ways would be 187 GP each. Two more GP for two of us because rounding. So total cost so far for group expenses should leave us with 1772 GP to spend on our own individual stuff. We'll need to keep some gold on us on us to actually pay the NPCs we're hiring though.

Edit: Not including whatever type of super bag we get as a group. Bag of Holding I seems like the most practical option for our price range. that would be an extra 625 GP each, so we'd have 1147 to play with individually.

I'm good either way. A party of three is tough, but we're pretty flexible classes. A smaller party can be fun too.

Either way I think we still need to buy the wand of CLW.

Other than that I'm going to buy a minor bag of holding and a portable alchemy lab. That's 1075, so there's still some spending room for an additional spell or two, and a pack animals.

Alchemists can use spell-trigger magic items like wands so we're good on that end. If not, maybe the new guy'll be able to use it?

I guess the alchemist in question should also get an alchemy lab.

Well, I grabbed a printable one cause Vraxiss does some alchemy on the side, but you don't have to have a lab. It's nice though for the +2 to checks, but 40lbs is a massive amount for a kobold. 20 lbs is more manageable, though it will still take up a good portion of the 50 lbs my minor bag of holding can handle.

We are getting the Bag of Holding, and a CLW wand. I would suggest Sharra hold the holding bag, and Harkness hold onto the wand while we're out and or about.

Harkness will get the beetles. But battle beetles since we cant train 'em. I'll get four combat trained big beetles if this place has em for 220 gp total.

That should be it for buying stuff right now.

I'm buying a minor bag of holding for myself, but it only holds 50lbs. If we want a party bag we'll have to budget for one. I have some cash left over, but not a ton since I'm spending on a bag of my own.

I did mention at the top of the page that the Bag of Holding could be split between the party at 625 gp each. If we can only split the cost between three people then its 833 gp per person.

Or we could just hang our stuff off of the bugs of burden/Sharra for now. Likely a wiser use of money at this level. I would vote for that, any objections?

Rethinking the suprise round, could my action be to partial charge as they are flat footed. I would still get the sneak stack but no +1 damage from flanking. Then on the first real round I can flurry while they are still flat footed to sneak attack more.
