Ok, so Vraxiss's sheet is updated now. But I realized in the process that I had failed to update his gear when we had our discussion about that. I believer we determined each of us had 2000gp for spending after buying a wand of clw as a group correct? I know I wanted to get a minor bag of holding and a portable alchemist lab, and a few other odds and ends, can I go ahead and correct that?

Okay so We've reach our first real Settleable area. The Lightning plains.

This area is known for having near constant lighting storms, but is a rich and vast land surrounded by Mountains on three sides and the Goblinoid deadlands on the other under which you all spent time traveling.

This areas creatures are highly resistant to lightning damage which is an easy thing to surmise no roll required.

So, Settleable areas will require a majority group decision to settle, time and skill checks.

The better you pass a skill check, the quicker and more valuable an area becomes

This area has a few challenges to overcome, The constant lightning, The beasts that roam it, and locating the resources.

I'll let you all decide how to overcome these challenges. If you decide to settle, then we'll enter "Kingdom build mode" you tell me what you want to attempt and ill tell you what to roll

I will award various hidden bonuses for creativity and setting up and initial base to work from. Which won't be as easy as camping, you would need to find a safe protected area with proper resources for basic survival to get that bonus

Can I try a nature roll to figure out how the lightning rod effect works, and make a few of our own for a "safe" camp?

The rods and a proper survival check will in fact make a Safe camp, Base of operations.
