The doors into the rooms slide out sideways rather than swinging out in a direction. Thanks to the pod you moved into place, they stayed open during your rest.
Mari, you would not have time for a full 10 min rest before the group is set upon.

Flint starts pushing the egg-shaped pod out into the hallway to block one side, but he finds the equipment decidedly quite heavy - a good selection to block incursion into the room, but now a liability in getting out. He manages to only open up a narrow opening through which to exit before he starts to fall under fire!

So to be clear, the egg pod doesn't completely seal off the southern end of the passage right now. Plus, it's not so tall that someone couldn't climb over it. It does however need to be squeezed past if you want to go south, and it provides cover. You could spend another standard action pushing it to block the whole path, but it could still be climbed over.

The first couple of shots impact the pod, leaving a moment for someone on your side to take action, and Mari is the one who seizes the initiative. From his perspective in the corridor, Flint can see two azer soldiers to the north, including the injured one from earlier, and three foes south. In the lead to the south is a smartly dressed Oread wielding a short staff (see handouts!). Second is another azer soldier, and third is the ifrit woman from before.

The foes approach slowly, firing off a volley of shots at Flint with their disintegrator rifles as they do. Two beams from the north hit Flint's arm and head respectively, while two more miss. Thanks to the cover to the south, only the egg-pod ends up damaged from that end. (One crit, one hit. 31 and 23 acid dmg. Corroding for 1d6. You can make a ref save at end of turn to end it) Mari spies red approaching and sends an icy beam into his leg.

To the south, the shaitan (not oread! My mistake) captain waves her staff and attempts to lock Flint in place with a spell, but he shrugs the mental magic off.

The ifrit trickster casts her own spell, accelerating the three Legion members on the south side of the engagement.

OOC requesting a Get 'Em from Sammad since Ordyt's ranged attacks aren't nearly as good. The shot is just "covering fire" for flavor.

While Ordyt takes cover, Sammad calls for the party to focus on the blue azer. To the north, the green azer takes up a defensive stance and steps back. To the south, the shaitan raises her staff and then strikes it upon the ground. A ripple issues forth, engulfing all but Mari.

Sammad and Bel find their actions slowing to a crawl as the magic takes hold of them. (You're both slowed for 7 rounds; this means you're staggered and move at half speed) The ifrit spellcaster raises both hands in the air and then sends a wild bolt of electricity down the corridor.

Bel manages to dodge the worst of the lightning blast despite moving slowly, but the surge passes right through Ordyt and Flint, frying them. (33 elec dmg to Ordyt and Flint, 16 dmg to Bel) The blue azer takes a shot at Flint, who's looking rather worse for wear at this point. The disintegrating beam traces a path across the pod rather than its intended target.

@Bel: No need to make a check, but it requires you to squeeze, so you move at half speed past the pod. Quite tricky since your move speed has already been halved by being slowed.
Botting Sammad:
Even slowed, Sammad is able to rally the group against blue and squeeze off a single shot.

As Bel slowly gets closer, Mari sends a bolt of frost down the corridor to splash against the far wall. Sammad has much better luck, delivering a smaller beam of cold to the azer's head.

The ifrit spellcaster sends another bolt of electricity dancing down the hallway through Ordyt and Bel.

Ordyt eats a full-power jolt straight through his torso while Bel manages to take advantage of the cover of the pod to minimize harm (35 dmg to Ordyt, 17 to Bel) The shaitan captain follows up by rushing in at Ordyt and swinging twice with her staff, moving rapidly thanks to haste. He deflects the first swing, but the backswing catches him in the side. Although he takes the hit well, he's caught off guard when the metal floor underneath him suddenly reaches up to grab a hold of his legs (20 bludgeoning dmg and you become entangled by the floor. You can get free from this entanglement as a move action with a DC19 Acrobatics or Strength check). The blue azer drops his rifle, draws his maul, and lands a solid strike to Ordyt's other side while the oread is impaired. (16 bludgeoning dmg)

@Bel: You can't advance past the pod right now because Ordyt is taking up that space, and everything beyond is past your ability to reach with your current move speed + being staggered+the pod being a squeeze to pass.

Belmarniss squeezes through the barricade to reach out to Ordyt her hand aglow. Seeing how he was determined to be their resolute stone wall both literally and metaphorically, this was the most she could do to help.

While Bel slowly summons up magic to enhance Ordyt's weapon, Mari lands a frosty beam upon the shaitan.

The shaitan strikes back at Ordyt, with one swing of her staff striking hard before Ordyt is able to block the second. (Dealing 24 dmg) The ifrit follows up with a quick magic missile. Mercifully, the result is several sluggish spheres that do little more than tap Ordyt (7 dmg). The shaitan grits her teeth, she clear doesn't like the way this has turned.

The shaitan gets caught in Bel's spell and is left to stare at her own staff in bafflement as she forgets what it is. Despite this puzzlement, she still manages to awkwardly use the weapon to deflect Ordyt's bayonet stab. A shot from Mari connects with her shoulder, leaving both of the remaining foes on the back foot.

The shaitan gives a quick hand sign to the ifrit before sinking down, swiftly, merging into the metallic floor beneath her feet. Within a second, she's entirely disappeared from view. The ifrit dashes away from Flint (provoking AoO), heading eastward with incredible swiftness and disappearing around the corner.

@Mari: Not sure what you mean by up the hallway. The ifrit had haste and has therefore gotten quite far away. Take a look at the map for the general direction you can hear the ifrit from, and let me know what you'd like to do.

Flint's quick strike of opportunity catches the back of the ifrit as she flees, but despite the power behind the swing its not enough to take her down. Ordyt struggles to free himself from the metallic floor panel entwining itself around his legs. When Flint heads east, he can hear the receding footsteps, but doesn't spot anyone. It kind of sounds like she's somewhere in this corridor.

Bel ponders the shaitan's capabilities and remembers that the shaitan ability to "metal glide", or effectively swim through metal, is something they can do at will. They can't pass through other materials like wood or plastic, which means the shaitan can't pass through the walls, but the metal floors provide easy passage for her. She could pop up anywhere, but likely can't leave the building's area without first emerging.

Flint sees the eastern door in the corridor to the north of him opening, but the ifrit remains invisible, and there's no further loud running to betray her position.

Sure, you can definitely try a Strength check to try to pry him out of the metal trapping him. That said, since Ordyt pre-rolled 3 rounds, we know he's getting out next round anyhow.
