Looking over at Ralrae, "You ready, partner? Two shots are always better'n one." Casey then raises his musket and takes aim. As soon as Ralrae appears ready, "Okay, we do this on three. One. Two..." He pauses a moment and cuts his eyes towards the rest of the group, making sure everyone at least appears to be ready and then says, "Three."

Not sure if initiative is needed or not. And I'm totally assuming we can actually see the big guy and have somewhat of a clear shot. Will put it in a spoiler just in case. Plus, I'm not sure how far away the big guy is.

Brindle and Sprig creep down from the ridge, making it surprisingly close to the gate. A section of the gate house seems to be blocking the view of the guards. Bas and Saraon are less lucky. Saraon locks eyes with one of the guards and the man’s eyebrows furrow just as the first shot rings out. Casey’s bullet strikes Crusha as the man at the guard tower yells, ”We’re under attack! Get out here you lazy bastards!” Casey and Ralrae can see that the two bandits who were sparring outside are beginning to make their way over.

One of the guards rolled unfortunately well on perception. In any case, Brindle, Casey, Ralrae and Sprig are up!

Crusha, as it turns out, has the rough dimensions of the broad side of a barn. Casey’s bullet hits the lumbering creature and it lets out an angry, gurgling roar.

The pit appears in front of the gate.

Brindle’s javelin hits the man in the gatehouse and he staggers, clearly not expecting a small spear to be sticking into him. He grits his teeth and says, ”You’re gonna pay for that, mutt!” He then levels a shoddily made pistol at Brindle and fires. The bullet grazes Brindle for 1 damage. The other guard tries to fire at Saraon, but his gun splutter before spraying the bandit with a plume of sparks as he curses loudly.

Bas and Saraon are technically within Create Pit's area of effect, you guys should back off five feet, or make a DC 15 reflex save with a +2 bonus.

Create Pit:
You create a 10-foot-by-10-foot extradimensional hole with a depth of 10 feet per two caster levels (maximum 30 feet). You must create the pit on a horizontal surface of sufficient size. Since it extends into another dimension, the pit has no weight and does not otherwise displace the original underlying material. You can create the pit in the deck of a ship as easily as in a dungeon floor or the ground of a forest. Any creature standing in the area where you first conjured the pit must make a Reflex saving throw to avoid falling into it. In addition, the edges of the pit are sloped, and any creature ending its turn on a square adjacent to the pit must make a Reflex saving throw with a +2 bonus to avoid falling into it. Creatures subjected to an effect intended to push them into the pit (such as bull rush) do not get a saving throw to avoid falling in if they are affected by the pushing effect.

Creatures who fall into the pit take falling damage as normal. The pit’s coarse stone walls have a Climb DC of 25. When the duration of the spell ends, creatures within the hole rise up with the bottom of the pit until they are standing on the surface over the course of a single round.

Create Pit Duration: 2/4 Rounds
Readied Action: Cast Grease at edge of pit as enemies try to leap across.

Ralrae moves forward, getting into a better position to aim at the two oncoming bandits from the bunkhouse.

He followed the others up climbing onto the walls. For a supposedly s$#@ty bandit crew they sure were smarter than he thought they would be. Maybe the just over thought things?

climb: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

Casey’s bullet hits the pistol-wielding bandit and he staggers, before Sprig’s acid dart hits him in the chest and he falls, writhing in pain.

Brindle smacks the bandit in the knee before clocking him upside the head. He staggers backward and falls off the stockade. He does not get up.

The bandit on the loads a crudely made bullet into his gun and fires again at Bas. He grunts in frustration as his shot goes wide.

The final bandit runs to get a clear line of sight on Sprig and fires, though the small lizard is just able to duck into cover.

Party is up!

Rolls:

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
