Working on making an alias now. Thanks for running Wise Fox! It can be hard to get into PbP games and I'm glad I can be part of Gameday VIII.
You are welcome. I got to gm to make my ongoing subscription worthwhile anyway.
Also guys, don't forget to give me your name, PFS number, character number, and faction you would like to apply the chronicle sheet to for reporting purposes. You can pm me with that info if you prefer, but I'll need those to hopefully get the PFS gameday viii boons.

Thanks Scott. Assuming you live through the entire scenario, I will apply credit to 2002.
If you are curious how my games are typically run, here is an example of a PFS special I helped run a few years ago. In that game, one week in a play by post is roughly equivalent to a hour of sitting in a table.

@ GM Wise Fox - Thanks for letting me take a spot.
I had made a post as Fumbus, but then realized that that pregen may already have been claimed.
Not sure, which pregens are left to pick from.

Fumbus it is then.

I certainly appreciate all the time and detail that went into your recreating the map, but I must confess that I still find it a bit difficult to navigate.
I recently purchased the scenario to run at a convention this weekend. I have taken the liberty of creating a map that for use on-line, if you are so inclined, along with tokens for the PCs and statues that can be moved around by each of the players
here.
The link is google slides and anyone who clicks on the link can move the tokens around.
The url is: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1ET7PZtOzRgDkJMe0MZFwJoUkHfr7ts3JOEi fIwot98k/edit#slide=id.p
If you don't think this helpful, then please disregard.

** spoiler omitted **
I'll see what I can do. The draw for using the spreadsheet version is that it is 1) quick and easy to update and 2) doesn't draw attention to me from my bosses at work. I might have two versions of the map from now on. Version one would be the spreadsheet version that I can update as I post. Version 2 would be the jpg version and I would update that once per day in the evening.

I can navigate the initial map. I offered the other map because I was trying to make less work for you, not more.

That online map is pretty cool! Definitely easy to navigate, and convenient for players to edit directly. Even if it's not feasible for our GM to incorporate, it's nice to see Paizo's official map!
BTW, I moved Merisiel on your online map (in case we use it). She knew where Fumbus was and specifically landed on the opposite side of the statue, so Fumbus could get an unobstructed ranged bomb attack.

P.T. Fumbus |

No problem. I think we are moving at a good pace.
By the way, I will be at a con over the weekend, so my posting will be limited.

Thanks Wise Fox. My first time playing one of these Play-by-Post games. It was a lot of fun. Yeah, it slows down when life gets in the way, but I like the detail that players can include here that we'd never waste time with in face-to-face games. I'll definitely try it again sometime. Thanks so much for taking the time to run it for us!!!
Scott, aka Merisiel
p.s. PT Fumbus -- Your posts were awesome. Fumbus was a lot of fun.

@ GM Wise Fox - Thanks for running! I really enjoyed your descriptions and sense of humor.
@ All - Thanks for a fun run! I look forward to sharing a table with each of you in the future.
@ Merisiel - Thank you for the encouragement. I am a big fan of this pregen and have actually played him exclusively so far as my -2001 PC.
I also very much enjoyed your portrayal of the rogue and felt she had a real history with Fumbus. I play PbP quite regularly and am always glad to see newcomers enjoy it out!

Fumbus or Wise Fox: Since you guys are pretty experienced with this, can you answer a few questions:
1) Do all PbP games use the Pregens or do most use your own characters?
2) If I wanna play this 5th level Merisiel again, is there another scenario I can join?
3) Fumbus, since you play these a lot, could I join you in another scenario? I enjoyed the banter between our characters. Or Wise Fox, if you run another one, please let me know!

1) It totally depends. This one specifically uses pre-gens because it's a higher-level Pathfinder Society scenario that is intended for them. But most PbP games here are not PFS, and so they would require players to make their own characters.
2) I'm not aware of any other PFS2 scenarios that use higher level pre-gens currently. I think this is the only one in which the level 5 characters can be used.

ThreeEyedSloth is correct. For most games, players create their own PCs. Although pre-gens are permitted for any PFS game, including those via PbP, players usually prefer to bring PCs they've created. Many non-PFS games are played on the forums, but there is an entire on-line lodge where PFS2 scenarios are played. Recruitment for Pathfinder Society scenarios can be found here. GMs looking for players post there as well as players looking to play particular scenarios.
As Pathfinder 2e is new, and all PCs in Pathfinder Society organized play must start out at 1st level, there are not yet any scenarios for PCs above level 4, with the exception of the "special" introductory scenario that we just completed. So, unfortunately, you won't have an opportunity to play 5th-level Merisiel in an official organized play scenario anytime soon, but you can always play 1st-level Merisiel or look for games that are not organized play.
You can find out more about Pathfinder Society organized player at this website.
All 4 of my PFS2 PCs are currently tied up in PbP scenarios, but I could be convinced to create a 5th to play in another scenario after the Thanksgiving holiday/early December if there is a suitable offering. I will likely GM a PFS2 after the New Year and could save you (and any others at this table) a spot.

I'm considering running The Fall of Plaguestone, Trailblazers' Bounty, or Lost on the Spirit Road next month. More likely I'll run the shorter adventures because Fall of Plaguestone will set me back another $16.
I'd be up for any of those if you'd have me, although my preference would be Plaguestone or the repeatable Spirit Road, as I think I'd prefer to play Trailblazers' with my halfling or goblin PC, which are both tied up in other games at the moment.

Both Trailblazers and Spirit Road are tagged as repeatable, though I do understand if you want to wait with a specific character for a first playthrough.

The repeatable tag on Trailblazers turned out to be an error and has since been relabeled.

Thanks for the good info. Yes, I have 2 PFS-2 characters that I've been playing in Society face-to-face games here in San Diego. One is a halfling Rogue ... different personality than Merisiel but plays like her. I'd probably use him. Or I could start a new level-1 character if the group is all new.
I've played 1-01 thru 1-07 in face-to-face games. So I wouldn't be able to play Trailblazers if it's not repeatable. But my halfling Rogue hasn't done Spirit Road (1-06) yet. What number is the Plaguestone module, and is it repeatable (because they'll probably be running that at my local game store soon.
Bottom line: I'd love for Fumbus to save me a spot in his January game. Thank you! And I'd love to play in another WiseFox game. I'm happy to chip in for half the cost of that Plaguestone game, Fox.
Fumbus, what's the best way for you to reach me to let me know about your game? Is there PM's in these forums, or can I give you my email? (I already have WiseFox's contact info.)

Scott, if they run Plaguestone at At Ease, I'll be really, really impressed. It is a mini campaign for levels 1-4.

In that case, I vote for you running that here, since I won't get to play it otherwise. Or would something like a mini-campaign take FAR too long via PbP?

People do play full-blown adventure paths here. I tried running one once and managed to get through one book before I got hit hard in real life and had to drop it.
I figure I can run a single book before burning out again.
Assuming that I do pick up Fall of Plaguestone and run it as a pbp, I estimate it will take around 3 to 5 months to complete it.

I sent you a PM. You should be able to find it by clicking on the "Private Messages" tab, which can be accessed from the pull down menu on "My Account" at the top of the page.
