I hope you are pulling out because of a too full life, and not because of problems... and that all works out well.
As Ilmakis said: Farewell!

GM Wayfinder |

I think the best is to pull out the Alchemist pregen' to replace Laraman, even if we can fluff it as still being named Laraman and not being a Goblin? (but that way we have all the info' on the character).

GM Wayfinder |

If you want, we can say that you picked these up (bodies and Wayfinder/armor)?
Because I think it would be different table top where you look at then handout and pass it around and talk... vs. PbP.
I am on the phone now but will get back to you on this (weight etc.).

GM Wayfinder |

Okay, I will say that you picked up the corpses and item you mentioned, w/o adding time to go back to the village etc. (another 10 minutes each way).
As I said, I feel that at the table, with the handouts printed and people being able to chat about them etc. you would have picked up on what to look for more etc..
I tried to give hints and push you to look at places etc., but did not want to spell it out too much.
So, let us retcon you getting what you saw and mentioned here.
And we will see if you wish to repair the cart.
If you want to return to the village later, to look more into the buildings you did not enter or look through we can do that later.
Also, the reason I changed the size of the zombies and mentioned it (I am 100% sure it is a mistake in the scenario they are listed as large) is because their size is important, since, as you saw, one of the zombies had to be medium to be the Pathfinder's body you were looking for.
So, let us resolve this cart (if you wish to repair or not) and then return to the steps...

Oooh... purr purr... thanks.
If no one has crafting, I imagine Tybalt can carry the bags to near the College, and stash them outside, and then pick them when/if (!) you leave.
18 str should be able to manage... (what is your Bulk load now?).
On another note, I am having trouble downloading the pregens from Paizo (the folder I get is an empty zip).
Does anyone have Fumbus level 1 pregen?
re. Crafting - Devin and Laraman have, you can roll for Laraman (+7) if you wish, or Devin (can try a help another, but than can hinder if crit fail).

![]() |

Try this one PFS2 Pregens
Tybalt is currently at 6 of 14 Bulk. He can carry them, but it will slow him down. I was thinking the same thing.

GM Wayfinder |

Thanks a lot.
Adding Fumbus to the Slides.
Fine w. Laraman's check & Devin's aid.
Thanks!

GM Wayfinder |

One player dropped out, so we could take someone as a replacement, but half of the game is done, so it is not much fun to only play half of it and miss the beginning and the first part (2nd part and conclusion are left) and get only a partial chronicle.
I was not planning to ask for someone to lose their shot at this game for only experiencing 50% of it.
If for some reason you are interested in this, and it makes you happy, then fine, but do not offer to join to "just" to help (which is nice), since we can manage I think, and I don't want others to spoil this adventure for themselves.

I am not doing this just to be nice.
I also do it for entirely selfish reasons. Full disclosure, all rights reserved, non-assumpsit.
Yours respectfully,
Master Bladden Pennyworth
Barrister, Absalom

GM Wayfinder |

If you are okay with stepping in mid-adventure, I am happy to have you.
What say the others, then?

![]() |

Anyone got a link to a cool PbP stats template? (for looks and glory! always!)

![]() |

ok will update tonight!

GM Wayfinder |

A warm welcome to Bladden Pennyworth, and thanks for joining, especially mid-game like this!

GM Wayfinder |

Re. alchemists, my feeling is that Quick Bomber or the Familiar are feats that you will ise a lot more and probably for more useful results...
Also, you do not get that many bombs (and if you get a fair amount then you don’t have other uses) so my personal feeling is to take some other source of damage (hand crossbow erc.) for round to round use
Personnaly I took Wizard archetype at level 2 to get Light since my alchie is human and an attack cantrip plus being able to use all arcane scrolls
Then I keep my alchie things to make on the spot and either heal domanti disease spot etc or bombs if needed

GM PDK |

Hello all,
Thank you for allowing me to join for the last week but I must step out from this game due to personal reasons and also to allow this character to start another scenario from the beginning at another table. I feel joining midway did a disservice to the unity of the group and Bladden felt like the odd one out. I'm also a total 2E noob, as proven by my constant questions, so stepping out will allow GM Wayfinder to run his game more smoothly. I don't have the time, currently, to properly allocate time to learn this new 2E system but in a few weeks/months who knows, perhaps we'll see each other again!
Apologies for any inconvenience Bladden's short-lived intrusion may have caused. Happy Gaming!
Best regards,
Bladden / GM PDK

I will let you guys bot' Larraman.
You can use the stats' from Fumbus on pages 13 & 14 (I think) of the slides.

Sorry about the int roll i was on my phone, and still am, and the dice codes don't stick for some reason. And i was hoping to have an ooc discussion about the encounter.

I believe critical hots work differently from skill checks:
Source Core Rulebook pg. 278
When you make an attack and roll a natural 20 (the number on the die is 20), or if the result of your attack exceeds the target’s AC by 10, you achieve a critical success (also known as a critical hit).

GM Wayfinder |

Thanks a lot!
Yes, I believe you are right.
The "upgrade" the result is only for Skills then?
Amending...

![]() |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

I was just reading the recovery check rules. So it says if you get a critical success you jump back 2 dying levels, but seeing as its a flat check and the minimum DC is 11 If dying 1 then that is an impossible check.

![]() |

The "upgrade" the result is only for Skills then?
You can still upgrade if you are 10 over also. Combat does both RAW.

GM Wayfinder |

Yes, what I meant (unclearly) by « upgrade » is the nat’ 20 not being an automatic crit’ but upgrading your result (making it a hit if you normally miss).
And you are right, a 21 on a flat d20...unless there are things/Feats/situations that reduce the DCs?

GM Wayfinder |

Man!
This is a crazy fight... nat' 1's one after the other, nat' 20's on the other side.

GM Wayfinder |

So...
Prone states that you’re lying on the ground, are flat-footed and take a –2 circumstance penalty to attack rolls.
And: the only move actions you can use while you’re prone are Crawl and Stand.
Both provoke, since both have the Move tag and nothing saying you avoid AoOs.
So, as a player, my feeling is that the best course of action would be to delay.
Since, if you move you provoke, and risk being hit by an AoO (in this case you know it will hit) and if you are hit the min' dam' kills you outright, because of the Wounded 3.
And if you attack the skel' and hit' (in this case your first hit misses, but you could roll two more, with -2 from Prone) the skel', that acts right after you (I mean, the Necro' obviously is fleeing, and Devin is "out", so effectively the skel' is next for you), might bop you on the head (with 3 attacks, w. a +2 from your Flat footed) and thus could kill you.
My feeling is that it is best to delay, since Tybalt does feel, and know, that he is so close to death.
Thus the skeleton acts, and then Tybalt can maybe attack, sometime in the midst of Kamil and Larraz and Desert Wind's actions, and hope that you bring the skeleton down...
Tell me what you wish to do?
