Once the statue is taking care of, Kamil go back to take the undead weapons and put them in the cart.

Lets go. I don't want to wait for the monstrosities to get to us.

Tybalt doesn't speak, just helps pick up the statue and gets ready to go.

Assisting with the Statue, Devin ponders what he could do to make the battle go better in the future.

Battered and wounded, you carry out the statue, and put it one the cart, and Larraz hitches Desert Wind up, while you place the bagged-corpses safely, while Kamil collects the armor.

Then you start moving.

As you pull out of Goldenflame you see the gargantuan zombies arriving.
They are some 10 minutes away, or less!
These are enormous zombie amalgamations, made out of scores of corpses, their flesh blended and melted together.

The ground is shaking because of them!

But you manage to get out before the shambling horrors enter the village-- and you see, in the distance, a dark figure: the Necromancer!
He is pointing towards the College, and having the zombies move towards it.

Having escaped, and the zombies busy at the College, you are far before they maybe give you chase-- you do not know if they do.

But your return trip to Caliphas is surprisingly mundane.

Having no task other than to get home in one piece, you can carefully maneuver the Gravelands to avoid both challenging terrain as well as any lingering patrols, taking the time you need with the sad cargo you have.

Larraz manages to pray and collect himself, several times, healing Desert Wind up, little by little, and, within a half an hour, the horse is at full health, and can carry you along just fine.

Finally, you arrive back at the Vodavani Lodge, and see Venture-Captain Evni Zongnoss casting healing spells on and fussing over a few Pathfinders whom she and her team extracted during their mission into the Gravelands.

She greets you, and starts by having healing spells cast upon you.
Thus you get your health back, and Tybalt is no longer wounded, which is a big relief for him - the others are no longer wounded either.

Evni solemnly listens to your debriefing, and the tale of the slain Pathfinders you encountered, and eagerly welcomes the discoveries you uncovered, especially the bodies you recovered.

She asks that you return any belongings of the Pathfinders you found so they can be delivered to the fallen’s families— notably the Pathfinders’ wayfinders.

The object, documents and texts you return are all of great use to the Society, but the statue in particular amazes Evni, to the point that she wonders out loud the effort required to transport such a thing across the Gravelands.

"You are amazing!
This is a statue of Iomedae’s servitor Jingh, and many regard it as the college’s most valuable possession. Bravo!"[b]

Evni offers to return Larraz back home to Katapesh [b]"or to look for more peaceful locations to reassign you"
Larraz politely declines the invitation for further adventures "at least for now, I wish only to return home to my family and take a long break, with Desert Wind, and get over this."

Agents representing the Envoys’ Alliance faction later return the remains of the fallen Pathfinders to their families across the world.
They are very thankful for your work, and your esteem grows among their Faction.

Some Pathfinders tell Devin that what he could do to make the battle go better in the future, could be carrying a light mace for cracking bones, and maybe a short sword for slashing flesh?

In a way, Kamil was happy to have joined the Pathfinders. Even if he almost lost his life trying to get back some of the bones of dead Pathfinder and even one alive, he know, now, that contrary to his previous employer's policy he will not be left behind and his remains will be getting back to his family if he had one.

Facing skeleton was also a learning lesson, and for the next time he will have different weapon to deal with such creature. He will also try to learn different spell to avoid wounding his comrades if he need to cast spell.

He thanks Larraz and Desert Wind for their help as without them, he will certainly have died and wish them good luck for their new life.

Reflecting of the past, he draws a locket. Opening it, he looks at the serpent looking badge inside before closing it again...

Taking the advise of the others in stride, Devin reflects on the adventure. Determined to take his studies more seriously, he thanks the others for the advise.

Tybalt spends some time in the temple praying to Torag and offering his thanks for bringing them through this ordeal.
He also buys a new shield.

Larraz thanks Kamil: "Right back at you! I Without your help I certainly would have died. I too wish you, and all of your group, good luck for your new life. If you are ever in Katapesh..."
