Dang! That noise was enough to wake the dead!
Wait up. Who have we here? Looks like a bunch Pathfinders.

His empty eye sockets scan the party with a expression of pained memories. Seeing a paladin mixed with a band of scofflaws it speaks.

I was one once...one of them there Pathfinders! Before I was abandoned on an island, left dead with nothing but my eyes left.
I sacrificed it all for the Society you know! And what did it get me? A toast! Oh great! Now it looks like they even let in Asmodeans!?!? No WAY!!!!

ok, Bad news for me... if the Gull ends up more than 100 feet from Hamish (which it currently is) it loses half its hit points, straight up. (off current and max)

This puts its current hit points at 37 of 43... ouch.
Course, once it gets back close enough, its max will go back up to 85... but its current will stay at 37. 8P

Liberty's Edge

CG Half-Elf Summoner 13

As the entire world seems to go pear-shaped, Hamish and the Seaward Gull are both caught up in it!

Of course, having one's physical form completely discorporated, is not something most people are ready for... nor finally being reassembled. So neither the ship, nor its Captain is prepared for both such things happening.

Hamish hits the ground with a hard thud, momentarily knocking the wind out of him. His feet end up tangled in a small well-manicured hedge, while his face lay in the muddy ground formed from the storm clouds lashing overhead. He moans, and rolls over as he tries to sit up.

A few thoughts race through his mind immediately. The first and foremost being the fate of his ship... though a quick mental query quickly confirms that the Gull is still floating, though judging by Mr. Phips' panicked response, taking on water.

His second thought is that he recognizes where he is. The familiar Wall of Names, only a few paces away.

His third thought, which comes with some dismay, is that the evil artifacts and armor of Vahlo, the deathknight, are only a few paces away as well. Not to mention said armor seemed was humming ominously, infused by the magical energies from the explosion. He could already see the erstwhile Decemvirate member reconstituting inside of it. He wasn't really paying too close attention to what Rokgurn relayed to them earlier, but he was pretty sure being where he was... was bad.

His fourth thought of course, was wondering what happened to his hat... as he realizes the rain is falling directly on his head! He glances around worriedly, trying to spot it. As his head cranes about, trying to find the errant bicorne, a bolt of red energy arcs from Vahlo's armor to strike the Wall of Names a ways behind him. As the spirit forms he makes a mental note of it...

Knowledge (religion) to ID spirits: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

... Then goes back to more important matters, ie: his missing hat!

Of course, that critical task is hampered somewhat, as his mind, already full of random chaotic thoughts, is suddenly assaulted by the spirit's presence!

Hamish, Will: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (9) + 14 = 23

Meanwhile, nearly thirty fathoms to port, the Seaward Gull and its crew are having issues of their own.

The forward sail has been completely torn away, the midship one torn in multiple places. The aft mast has completely broken off, collapsing backwards and smashing through the railing and part of the captains cabin. The entire ship lists dangerously to the right, a large hole torn along the starboard side of the hull. It is clearly taking on water, though you're not entirely sure where from, given its on the well manicured lawn of the Lodge grounds.

The crew scramble frantically to keep her afloat. A dozen men work to pump the water out, but can not keep up with how quickly it apparently is coming in. Others work to replace the forward sail, and repair the mainsail.

But despite all the damage, it still seems able to move. One of the crew, up in the crow's nest spots Omrax off in the distance. There is a faint cry of "Man overboard!" and with no captain to say otherwise, it it starts limping its way towards him... though still moving surprisingly quickly.

"The Cap'n says the enemy vessel is up ahead!" Mr. Phips yells at Omrax, one tiny hand pointing towards the western end of the Wall of names. "Get that man out of the water!" He calls to the crew as the Seaward Gull pulls up along side.

Move action to get up from prone. Single move, 70'
At this point, its within 100'... so max hit points go back up to 85... but current hit points stay down at 37

Having no luck locating his hat, Hamish turns his ire towards Vahlo... even though the later probably can't hear him yet.

"Cursed blaggard, that bicorne was gifted to me by Besmara herself!" He growls, angrily. "Will keel haul ya for this!"

Without even bothering to stand, he lifts off the ground, and flies off to the east, towards his ship and the others.

As he nears, he looks back over his shoulder, and utters a quick arcane spell.

Suddenly a dome of solid stone forms around the regenerating Vahlo, sequestering him off from the world.

Single flying move. Standard to cast Wall of Stone.
Won't hold him for long, I'm guessing, but should block the auras for a round or two, at least. Give us a chance to regroup.

Oh, and out of 4th level spells now! (that's a first!)

Note: the dome is 3 inches thick... so 8 hardness, 45 hp's

Whisper can only guess that this is the animated memories of fallen Pathfinders. It appears to be able to drain ambition from the living, dealing Cha damage and regales all living creatures within range with retellings of their lives and dreams that have been cut short, the hypnotic effects distracting victims from their tasks and leaving them flatfooted. It appears to have no other abilities or defenses save for incorporealness and channel resistance.

Rokgurn calls out to Hamish.

"Drink one of the potions of healing before you fall down."

He then begins a summoning ritual.

Whisper ponders how to be rid of the Death Knight permanently. Is there a process to destroy or purify his armor?

Bombshell shakes her head about her past dreadful performances and advances closer to Vahlo in case he is able to escape.

While waiting for something to happen, Yuri stealthily passes Hamish's hat behind his back to Kasimir.

Kasimir will re-activate inspire courage, draw his wand of searing light, and re-establish his copy-cat mirror image.

He keeps Hamish’s hat hidden behind his back, naturally.

On Hiatus

A game of hide the hat kicks off as the party prepares for Vahlo to appear again.

Never actually did anything there... will do something now. =)

"Sounds like he's trying to breach." Hamish points out, glancing towards where Vahlo is trapped.

He again uses his wand on the Gull, then sends the ship over to prepare for the next round.

He then flies along behind, digging out some of the potions gifted to them by the from earlier.

"It ain't rum, but when the thirst hits you." He mutters. "Perhaps if I mix the two..." He starts looking for his backup stash.

How High is the wall of Names, by the by? Hamish will set up out of immediate line of sight, if its high enough.

On Hiatus

No listed height so I will go off of the real life inspiration and call it 10ft.

As Rokgurn's spell completes. A large Earth Elemental appears near the stone barrier erected by Hamish. Rokgurn speaks a few words in a guttural language and then the creature glides through the barrier of stone as if it was water.

Terran:
Tell me what is going on in there and kick his ass.

The earth elemental steps through the stone (5' step, earth glide) and power attacks.
