About Templeton "Ratfink"
Templeton had begun to seem different to the other gnomes. He wasn't as apt to obsess over the new and the strange, but rather to pore over the familiarity of nature. But not all of nature's creatures held an interest to Templeton, he was drawn towards those that dwelt near the ground, like himself. The serpent and the arachnid. The beetle and the bee. These were his fascination, and he found that he could make them react to him when he played on his flute.
