Thanks!
Kavor Doan has now achieved his life-long ambition of being an Eldritch Knight. Took Improved Initiative as the combat feat and Skill Focus (Diplomacy) as his general feat.
@Zephyr, yes, I think you can do that. Kavor Doan won't get 4th-level spells until level 9. But he won't be getting any more free spells from leveling, so I appreciate the offer of spell access. Is there anything you'd want from my spellbook? I note that you have Abjuration and Divination as opposition schools, so my top suggestions of Resist Energy, See Invisibility, and Dispel Magic might be less compelling. But with a bonded item it's good to have some rarely-needed utility spells like Gust of Wind and Spider Climb in your spellbook. You just can't use it for the opposition-school spells.

I thought for a while about making Zephyr a Loremaster, but in the end I decided against it.
There're actually a fair few things I want to copy. I'm going to need to make a list myself! I'll go for that at the end of the scenario.
Also, was there ever an answer to the "can you cast spells as an elemental" debate? I roved the forums and elsewhere for hours, and the two foremost answers I got were "no" and "only if you have Eschew Materials," which to me makes sense. If that's true, I'll take it for a 7th level feat.

If Kavor needs a restoration and is in need of cash, Pim would be happy to contribute towards it. I had planned to buy a Dex belt at this point, but having missed the second prestige point, I don’t have enough fame to make the purchase, and have more than enough gold.

Chadius - I just reviewed my chronicles and discovered I had forgotten to record the prestige earned in my last scenario (in fact, in Hero Lab I had put the number 2 in the little box for prestige in my journal, but had not pushed the 'Earn' button to record it). So now I have enough fame to buy a Dex Belt, so I'll do that and update my character info today.
In total, I'm buying a belt of incredible dexterity +2, selling my masterwork chain shirt and buying a mithral shirt, and buying a cloak of resistance +1. Had a good deal more cash than I realized, since I never shopped after my last scenario and I played up in this one.

DM - a clarifying question on the use of the Celestial Lycanthropy boon in part 2 here: I see that we get the boon's benefits for free in this scenario, so I presume we don't need to check the box to use it now. Can you confirm that means we get resist acid, cold and electricity 5 for the whole scenario? I'm pretty sure that's what it means, but wanted to be certain before I used it in game.
Also - this will be fun, playing as a bunch of werewolves!

Sorry for my absence. We had to put one of our dogs to sleep. He was the goodest boy, and at 16 had a long life.
Failing. Brak's a very simple dwarf, and he knows that he's only good at fighting. If he ever lets a foe past him, and a fellow Pathfinder dies because he couldn't protect them.... it'd shatter him.

![]() |

This situation is almost exactly why I bought blunt arrows. That way I could dole them out to people who can use them. Then I realized Pim is small! I'll buy some small ammunition next time so it doesn't happen again.

** spoiler omitted **
Very sorry for your loss. They are all goodest boys and girls....

![]() |

Just a note that I will be away the beginning of next week with limited opportunities to check in. Bot if needed, but I don't imagine there is much for him to do to wrap this one up.

![]() |

GM, does your arrow decision apply to the blunt ones I bought for Pim? I want our paladin to have some nonlethal measures.

Finished my list of spells stolen scribed from Kavor Doan's book. It only took weeks after I last mentioned it!
2nd level: Blur, Spider Climb, Gust of Wind, Command Undead, Alter Self, See Invisibility (240)
3rd level: Seek Thoughts, Dispel Magic (180)
The total cost for those should be 460 GP, and now I can't fail the Spellcraft checks when taking 10. So now my total cost of purchases is 998 GP, 6 Prestige.

![]() |

Kavor Doan would like to scribe a few spells from Zephyr's book if possible.
Fly, Fireball, Protection from Energy, Daylight, Displacement
Those are DC 18 (none are Conjuration or Enchantment) so he can Take 10.
They have a scribing cost of 90 each, so 450 gp. Those are his only purchases for this scenario.

Here's a typed copy of the boon, if you need it:
(1 box)
Ashava has granted you the ability to call upon a lesser form of her blessing again in the future. You can check the box that precedes this boon to gain DR 5/silver for a number of rounds equal to your character level. If you also have the Celestial Lycanthropy boon, checking the box that precedes this boon also grants the benefits of Celestial Lycanthropy.
Dancer’s starknife (Aura moderate transmutation; CL 7th; Slot —; Price 16,324 gp): A dancer’s starknife is a +1 returning starknife that allows its wielder to cast dispel magic (CL 7th) as a standard action once per day. If the dispel attempt succeeds, the magic surges into the starknife. At any time in the next 24 hours, the wielder can unleash this energy to make a ranged touch attack as a standard action that deals 1d6 points of force damage for every spell level of the dispelled effect (minimum 1d6) with a range of 100 feet. A dancer’s starknife can be augmented with further enhancements—treat it as a +2 weapon with a price of 8,000 gp when determining the additional cost.

Thanks for running!
Hope to see you all again - the Core campaign still seems quite popular.
A lot of the Core level-7 spots are filling up for the Gameday, and it is too bad there is no Core 7-8 for the special, but I might sign Kavor Doan up for The Jarlsblood Witch Saga after the 22nd (I already have three signups).

Everything looks good, thanks for the game!
I'm hoping to play Zephyr when Siege of Gallowspire hits PbP, but that'll be a while. I wouldn't mind getting him some more XP in the meantime. Hopefully I'll see you at some of those tables.

It all looks good on the chronicle sheet. Happy I was able to 'play up' with you guys. It can sometimes be a dangerous proposition to try doing that in CORE.
Hope to have the chance to play with you all again.
See you on the boards.
