Are we going Low Tier? 3/5/6/6/7 averages to 5.4, not sure how that works. High Tier with 4-player adjustment?
Or are we getting a 6th to replace Andrew?

4 + 5 + 6 + 6 + 7 = 28
Leaves an APL of 5.3. As a season 10 game, we must play the higher tier game, but with 4-player adjustments. Let me know if there are any issues with this.
As a side note, tomorrow I will be going on vacation in Washington DC. The internet should be good but if I don't post regularly, you know why.
Hey Brak, can you submit your character information when you get the chance?

![]() |

Yeah, my apologies. It slipped my mind. I set my phone to remind me tonight. No problems on high tier 4-player.
Enjoy DC. I love visiting there.

![]() |

Understood about the high-tier 4-player. It will be challenging with this party, so I'll try to pick up a few consumables to boost our odds. Core is "hard mode" to a degree, and we have a few gaps in our skill set.
We've got no rogue (traps), no bard (buffing), no cleric (channel and condition removal). Kavor Doan, the dwarf Ftr/Wiz, is the face (Diplomacy +8).
We do have a solid front line. I think with a fighter, paladin, and monk, then Kavor Doan is better off being in "wizard mode" without the armor. That way he'll be able to use scrolls for punching above our weight.

![]() |

I am fine either way - recruiting another, or going with the 4-player adjustment and relying on scrolls/potions to help.

![]() |

I heard from Brak that you’re looking for some Core characters. Pimwrick is a level 4 paladin archer who always does the right thing - when he can summon up the energy to do anything at all.
I’ll have to update this alias, but am otherwise ready to go if you’ll have me and don’t mind another pally in the group.

GM chadius |

Welcome aboard, Pimwrick. Once you're ready, post your character details so I can prepare character sheets more easily.

![]() |

I'm all good with this if others are, which it looks like. Zephyr will level to 7 after this adventure, so you know.

![]() |

Okay, thanks, Chadius! I will try to update this alias tonight, but have a real-life PFS game also. Will update tomorrow at the latest.
I believe I've played with three or four of the folks here, looking forward to this!

Do you have a PC who permanently died during any of these scenarios?

Do you have a PC who permanently died during any of these scenarios?
Any Season 4 scenario
Pathfinder Society Scenario #7–03: The Bronze House Reprisal,
Pathfinder Society Scenario #7–25: Orders From the Gate,
Pathfinder Society Scenario #8–01: Portent’s Peril,
Pathfinder Society Scenario #8–22: Wrath of the Fleshwarped Queen
Pathfinder Society Scenario #9–09: Beyond the Halflight Path.
Nope.

![]() |

Ha! Even with two paladins in the party, Kavor Doan is still the face!
It's that natural dwarven charm.
He has a decent enough Diplomacy and prides himself on his negotiating skills, but seems to almost always end up being second fiddle to some maxed-out Diplomancer. And they are quite nice when you have them but he'll take his chance to shine.
(There are also times when my 14 Str cleric is the brute squad... you never know what you're going to get in PFS.)

Dana the Doppelgänger |

Why hello there, Pathfinders! I'm Dana the Doppelgänger, and I'm here to "Bot" anyone who is absent for more than 36 hours. I'll post in your name so the game doesn't grind to a halt. No one likes that!
If you know you'll be absent for a while, please leave a post indicating you'll be gone so I know to step in immediately. Also leave some instructions telling me how you want to be botted. Here's an example you can adjust and put in your profile.
Daily: Cast Heroism and Magic Circle Against Evil on myself as soon as we enter a dungeon.
Combat: Round 1, I'll begin bardsong for Inspire Courage +2 and cast Haste.
I'll try to flank and use my Longsword with Arcane Strike.
[dice=Longsword, Inspire Courage, flanking]1d20+6+2+2[/dice
[dice=Damage]1d8+3+2[/dice
(add closing square brackets ] to those attack rolls in your profile so they can be copied easily)
Thanks for helping me keep the game moving!

![]() |

No to permanent death. And Will add in a botting algorithm ASAP. (it'll be "Brak attacks.")
FYI I ran this duology once. Brak isn't much of a strategist anyway, so he will hang back on decisions.

![]() |

So the purchases I am looking at:
Scroll of 2*Heroism (2 PP)
Potion of Barkskin (300)
I am unsure about getting the cleric "status removal" spells on scrolls. The paladins can use most of them, but the cost adds up and they have some drawbacks.
Remove Blindness? Probably worth it (375 gp) since Blindness is Permanent.
Remove Paralysis? Most paralysis is short-duration in PF (unlike early-edition Hold Person).
Remove Curse? CL check makes it dicey.
Remove Disease? Can get it done afterwards.
Lesser Restoration? We've got a wand.
Break Enchantment? Maybe too expensive.
Any thoughts on these?

Initiative Bonus: +4
Perception Bonus: +3

Kavor Doan will also pick up the following scrolls from Chronicle sheets to scribe them (and share with Zephyr):
Blood Biography (375)
Seek Thoughts (375)
Air Bubble (25)
As I understand you can Take 10 on Spellcraft to learn spells, so that is a 19 for Kavor Doan (DC is 18 for 3rd-level spells).
However, he has a -5 to learn Air Bubble (it is Conjuration, one of his opposed schools) so cannot Take 10 (it is DC 16 and he has a +4 after the opposition penalty). He will let Zephyr use it first, and then try to learn it himself. Failure does not use up the scroll, but does impose a 1-week period before trying again.
So 775 for those scrolls, 2 PP for the scroll of 2*Heroism, 300 PP for the potion of Barkskin, and 375 for a scroll of Remove Blindness. Then 180 in scribing for the 3rd-level spells, and 10 if successful on Air Bubble.
Total: 1,630 gp and 2 PP (1,640 with Air Bubble).

![]() |

I thought I had some non-Core spells to share, but it turns out they were on a different character. Well, at least I can buy the preparatory items next time around.
I think the penalty for opposition schools might be -4, but that could just be for crafting items. Anyway, Zephyr can learn Air Bubble by taking 10. So he'd write it down and Kavor can copy from his spellbook instead of the scroll. However, the other two are Divination, which is an opposed school. So we could do the same thing in reverse, as Kavor can get those without trouble.
Also, I do have some non-Core items from Chronicle sheets. Right now, just antiplagues, but I'll buy some other stuff before the next adventure. Zephyr will gladly pass at least one to everyone. As a Kalistocrat, he'll probably nag about giving them back afterwards if not used.

GM chadius |

As per THIS POST I am reporting this game now. I can update report as necessary and I won't have chronicles available until after we finish the scenario. But you will see this game reported online.
PS. Zephyr, the reporting marked you as a non-CORE PC, but I think you warned me about that anyway.

![]() |

I'm all up to date there. There'll be some spell-learning rolls at the end, and hitting level 7 will change a few stats you have down. But that'll just be a small change for the next game.

GM chadius |

Thank you for the heads up, Pimwrick. That will give me some time to set up the next scenario.
Kord, you listed your Fame as less than your Prestige. I'm going to assume you switched the two values.
You weren't able to fulfill the secondary success conditions by sanctifying all three monuments. So you missed out on a boon and 1 Prestige Point. You did get the other 2, though:
Grobaras’s Gloryhounding: You now own a ribbon and a commemorative certificate for services to the city of Magnimar, both of which falsely claim that Lord-Mayor Grobaras hired you to assist the city. If you destroy these objects, cross this boon off your Chronicle sheet.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Just slightly off - Kavor Doan spent 1,640 since he was able to scribe Air Bubble. Looks great otherwise!
Two really nice non-Core items on that sheet...

![]() |

Mine should have 100 GP spent for the spells I learned, I think. Some nice items indeed, though!
Kavor, I'm not sure how scribing spells too big for you to cast works, but I feel like I've done it. If so, I'll have two 4th-levels for you if I can ever figure out which to choose.

![]() |

GM Chadius ~ Just asking for next time, would you consider just "X"-ing out or lining out the items off the chronicle sheet? It took a lot of toner when I printed it out.
Other than that, looks good.
