Guess this is going to eat into what little free time I had...
Ermengilda Sanz |
Gil runs a free medical clinic, primarily catering to the poor, and she also makes house calls to wealthy clients to help subsidize the stipend from Selesnya that keeps the clinic running. Her healing is purely mundane, which has advantages and disadvantages. I imagine at least some of her wealthy clients only work with her because it's good for public image, similar to paying alms.
Lyrona could conceivably be one of Gil's wealthy clients. Felecia's in the same guild, so she may have heard of Gil, if nothing else. I don't know if Thomas, Alder, or Gilliad would have much cause to know Gil, but it's certainly possible.
Giliad Orphanzos |
Giliad has "retired" his mother to the district run by the Selesnyan Conclave as she was an artist in her younger days and Gil believed that would be the best place for her as she begins to age so he may know Felicia from Gil's visits to his Mother.
Gil's Merchant house deals in Silks and deals mainly with Boros and Izzet though he wills ell to anyone looking to buy.

Mask is an Orzhov enforcer who is deployed against Orzhov "traitors" or those who look to rob the Ghost Council of what is their due. This is why it would be unlikely you would have met him.

Oh no! There's two "Gil"s in the party! What were the odds?
Gilly probably does rounds in all the Selesnya retirement communities. She's probably not terribly familiar with Giliad, but she's at least passingly familiar with his mother, and it's likely she and Giliad have at least crossed paths if he visits his mother with any frequency, so she may recognize Giliad's face.

Sorry for the silence, RL has been super busy. Will be able to update once more on Thursday.
Ermengilda Sanz |
Hopefully the rest of the party will catch up to us soon.
GM Bolas |
Of note: once Giliad finishes his meeting with Uzana, the timelines will sync again, and the two members at the autopsy will have finished, as well as the crime scene being finished investigated by the two that went there.
Once you all meet up and discuss your different findings, you can talk about your next steps.
Ermengilda Sanz |
Ya, I also figured Gil would fill us in one what they learned, and we'd decide how to proceed from there. Didn't want to make a post that was just *looks expectantly at Giliad* though, you know? I wonder if they're still in the process of moving.

Checking in RL has just been impossible lately, please BOT me. Hope to be back next week.

Hi Folks, sorry for the long absence had to figure out a number of things in RL. Due to a significant change in circumstances, I will need to limit my presence on the boards and that includes dropping this game. I apologize for the long delay in making contact to inform you of this decision and I apologize if my absence created any issues within Gameplay.

Hello everyone! Apologies, I have been busy with a ton of different things what with school starting and the medical emergency and dealing with different life situations.
However! I am now through with all of that unpleasant stuff and full of a new enthusiasm to begin this campaign anew.
If you’ll have me after being absent for so long, I would be more than happy to carry on with our wonderful Ravnican experience.
I understand why you wouldn’t if you have lost interest, but I hope you’re on board for another go at this, perhaps with another party member to replace the one we have lost?

I'm starting to see a pattern emerge.
GM Bolas |
Apologies all, I was dealing with a stressful exam for school, but it is now past me. I understand your concerns about my posting schedule, but I will be more active from here on out, I promise you.
Alfrazar, I think it'd serve you to make a new character to round out the party more fully, and I will message you to get together on ideas on who you are and where you came from.
Again, I am recommitting myself to this game, but it'll just take a little bit to get back into the swing of things and get the plot working in my head again.
Hopefully we can get the new character done over the weekend and then begin anew on Monday!

Alright, but understand, that's two strikes so far. If you're going to be unavailable for an extended period of time, you need to let us know beforehand. Short of being hospitalized or being caught in like a hurricane or something, it doesn't take that long to just let us know that you won't be able to post for a bit.
Moving on.
So what does the party need? My character is a healer and off-skill monkey. Felicia is an Oracle, which generally means she's a healer, and she seems to be built to be an off-bruiser as well. Thomas is a Magus, so he's likely somewhere between a short-range blaster and a melee striker, with some off-skill monkey thrown in due to high INT.
We lost Giliad, who was an Inquisitor Vigilante, so probably a face and skill monkey. We also lost Alder, who... well, the alias profile is empty, and the MythWeavers character sheet is gone, but I recorded him as being a Crossblooded Sorcerer, so he was probably a blaster or controller.
At a glance, I'd think the party is most lacking in the skill monkey and face departments at the moment. Thomas and I cover a decent spread of skill monkey, and Felicia has respectable bonuses in Diplomacy and Sense Motive, so we don't strictly need a skill monkey or face, but it's where we're weakest. And given that this campaign is a murder mystery, there's going to be an emphasis on those roles in particular.

I completely understand, I’ve been too lax with communication and shall take the necessary steps to make sure you guys know when I won’t be able to post.
I shouldn’t have been so carefree in my approach to it, but I’m committed to fixing that problem.
As for what you guys specifically need, I think a dedicated skill monkey outside of just knowledges and social skills may be valuable. The more ‘investigative skills”, so to speak. Disable Device, Sleight of Hand, Bluff, etc.
Just my two cents.
