For clarity its the Rogue Investigator archetype, not the Investigator class. I've been away all weekend and haven't had much time during the week. Finishing up the build now and will be sending it over to the GM ASAP.

Rotaretilbo told me swing by and say hi. He said you guys needed an extra player, and I’m down to join. I can play what I initially submitting or make something new to better round out the party.

Rotaretilbo brought me over to this thread. Throwing together a Dwarf High Guardian Fighter. Should have something done tonight or tomorrow.

Very interested, thinking about playing a Sorcerer.

4d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 1, 4) = 10
4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 6, 2) = 17 15
4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 4, 5) = 20 16
4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 4, 6) = 16 14
4d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 4, 1) = 14
4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 4, 3) = 13

Rerolling all ones
Row 1: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6
Row 5: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Row 6: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Rerolling one of the 14s
4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 5, 4) = 15

Looks like this is what I have to work with, I can make that work
14, 15, 16, 14, 15, 14

I am going to dot for interest. I have never played in a star wars saga game, but I will roll something up

I like the oracle idea. I might go with legalistic, and shift around my stats so I have a better charisma and a lowered wisdom. Still haven't decided yet though.

@The Dragon
I will PM you my backstory when I finish it. It is only a few paragraphs, so it won't be a crazy amount of reading

I still have to decide on a variant multiclass. I haven't used it before so, I'm unsure of what to pick. I am open to suggestions however.

Here is the crunch for my character

Awesome, might as well try a re roll and hope for the best. I should have something sometime tonight or tomorrow. Backstory and that sort of thing might take a bit longer.

Reroll:

Stat1: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 4, 2) = 1312
Stat1: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 6, 6) = 1716
Stat1: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 3, 4) = 1513
Stat1: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 1, 4) = 76
Stat1: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 2, 5) = 1412
Stat1: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 3, 4) = 1714

This one was meh, going to go with the first set of rolls. We can rearrange them correct?

I am definitely interested. I have never done E6 or used variant multiclassing before but I am definitely intrigued by both systems. For a class, I am going with a slayer. For race are you fine with a Dayborn Dhampir?

Rolls 1:

Stat1: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 3, 2) = 98
Stat1: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 5, 3) = 1411
Stat1: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 5, 2) = 1816
Stat1: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 5, 2) = 1614
Stat1: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 3, 3) = 1512
Stat1: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 5, 5) = 1816

Rolls 2:

Stat2: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 1, 3) = 109
Stat2: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 6, 6) = 1615
Stat2: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 5, 4) = 1211
Stat2: 4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 1, 6) = 1716
Stat2: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 1, 2) = 1110
Stat2: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 1, 4) = 109

I think the second block is re-rollable

Dotting this thread. Google hangouts or PbP would be fine by me.

I am definitely going to dot for interest. This homebrew setting seems really cool and I will put together a character over the next day or so.

I'm dotting this, and will throw something together over the next few days. Do you have an application cut off date?

Dotting this thread. Going to play a Sword Saint Samurai/Fighter. I will roll up a character that should be done by tomorrow or wednesday.

I am definitely interested. This kinds of games always lead to fun and interesting player interactions. I am up for using any of the systems, but pathfinder is preffered.

Made some changes to the backstory and a few updates to the crunch.
I made my character to be a scout/rogue character. Can get into to a place and get out without being see, and can gather any information people need. In combat he is mostly a ranged character, but can get into melee is he needs to.

Description:

Taleth is 5'11" with a rather lean build. His dark brown hair is almost always pushed back into a ponytail that hangs at his shoulder blades. His skin is a slightly tanned and he has brown eyes. Taleth normally wears his studded leather armor over his off-white shirt and his dark brown breeches. His bow is always at his back and his rapier always at his side.

Backstory:

Taleth was born to his elven parents his father, Hirnar, and his mother, Tinua. Unfortunately, Taleth never got the chance to meet his mother because she died giving birth to him. All Taleth had was his father for his early years. His father was able to support Taleth, but after awhile he began to go into debt. Hirnan was an avid gambler and one night he bet a little too much and lost. To pay off his debt, he was forced to work on a ship for a few years, to pay off the money he owed. When he left, Taleth was taken in by his uncle Haphor.

When Taleth first arrived at his uncle's he was overwhelmed with the different lifestyle of his only other relative. Many nights his uncle would leave only to return early in the morning. A few times, Taleth stayed up late, to see his uncle return, and sometimes he had blood on him, other times he was just late. After about a year of living with his uncle, the news of his father came back. He died at the hand of pirates while paying off his debt. Taleth was both angry and sad at the news of his father's untimely death. This gave Taleth a strong hatred for pirates. Haphor saw Taleth's hatred after the death of Hirnar and he decided to bring Taleth into his world. Haphor knew that Taleth was too young however and bided his time to teach Taleth his ways.

After waiting patiently for a long time, Haphor told Taleth about what he did every night. He told Taleth that he was a thief, and a spy. He would be hired to tail people, or to go into their homes and steal items. Those items might be of monetary value, or they might hold information for whoever hired him. Over the course of a few years Haphor taught Taleth how to hide and be able to sneak around. Haphor told Taleth that he could get himself out of anything, whether it be a chase, or talking himself out of a fight, and that Taleth would learn how to do all of those things.

Once he though Taleth was ready, he brought Taleth on one of his jobs. The two of them broke into a home in search of a specific set of documents the employer was looking for. Haphor had Taleth do a lot of the work, to test his skills. Taleth was able to break them into the house and they started to search the house. As they started to rummage through some papers, they heard some noise in the house. Haphor got up to check it out, and quickly ran back to Taleth and told him that they knew they were coming. Haphor taught Taleth how to use a bow, so together they fought their way out of the house. Taleth was still able to find the papers before they left, and from then on Taleth worked with his uncle.

Backstory and Stuff:

Taleth was born to his elven parents who at the time, were in a bit of a predicament. His father, Hirnar, was in debt to a loan shark at the time and with Taleth being born Hirnar wanted to be debt free to keep his newly born child safe. So he left his home in Coran to go and work off his debt to the loan shark by working where he can. He quickly drifted towards becoming a sailer, and over the next few years he was able to earn the money to pay off the loan shark. During the return trip on his last voyage, his ship was attacked by pirates and he was killed. Taleth's mother, Tinua, had to raise Taleth on her own.

Taleth was able to live a rather easy childhood. His mother was able to get a job at an inn that was able to pay for their living expenses. As Taleth got older he began to learn how to use a bow from his only other living relative, his uncle Haphor. His uncle lived outside the city and Taleth spent many years out there, learning many things from his uncle. His uncle taught Taleth how to hide and be able to sneak around. He always bragged about the things he did years ago, before Taleth was born, and how he was uncatchable and unseeable. He could get himself out of anything, whether it be a chase, or talking himself out of a fight. Those years were valuable to Taleth, because the things his uncle taught him were very useful in the big city.

Eventually Taleth stopped to live with his mother and began to live on his own and make his own living. He lived day to day for awhile looking for small jobs here and there. Things changed however when he started to hang out with some members of a group of thieves. One day they coerced Taleth into it and they saw he had a real knack for it. Over the course of a year or so Taleth with a few others stole from various houses and shops to make a living. The real turning point in this little escapade was when they were finally caught. They were breaking into a rather large house, and were spotted by a patrol. The group of thieves began to search the house for goodies, as the patrol got more guards and surrounded them in the house. Taleth, was on the roof spotting for everyone as the guards came to the house. A fight broke out and Taleth atop the roof picked off guard after guard with his bow. They were able to escape, but not without paying the price. Most of the thieves were dead, only three of the original eight thieves survived. The two surviving members became like brothers to him after that and they stayed with each other. Both of the surviving members were human, one of them was Lee, and the other was Lance.

After a couple of months of laying low, the three of them joined a small organized crime ring that smuggled goods into the city. Each of them played a different part in the group, but Taleth was hired to protect shipments, and at times eliminate the competition. One day Taleth overheard his uncle's name and inquired about it. It turned out, that his uncle used to run a small organized crime group and the he was still in the business. His uncle would help shipments through the city and would use his various connections in the city and out in the country to keep people and goods safe. Taleth approached his uncle about it and he told Taleth everything. His uncle became a new source of information for Taleth, and he told Taleth that if he ever needed any help, that he would do what he can. Taleth continued to work for this group for about 10 years before the group joined up with the thieves guild.

Taleth cares for his mother deeply and will do whatever it takes to not get her involved with what he is doing. He tried to visit her when he has no obligations, and when he knows he isn't being followed. If he thinks someone knows where he has gone, he will go to any length to protect her.

Losing his mother is one of Taleth's greatest fears. Since she raised him on her own, Taleth won't let anything happen to her. Taleth is also afraid of losing anyone he gets close to, whether it be a friend or something more. Ever since he lost many of his friend during the robbery gone wrong, he doesn't want to lose anyone again and will do as much as he can to protect his friends. Taleth does what he does because he enjoys the thrill of what can happen during a job. During his time with the small organized crime group, he learned how to brew various poisons, and it has become quite the hobby and passion for him.

I wouldn't mind joining online game. I haven't played Rise of the Runelords, so I will roll something up soon.

4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 3, 1) = 14 13
4d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 2, 6) = 19 17
4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 1, 3) = 8 7
4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 5, 6) = 18 17
4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 2, 5) = 11 10
4d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 3, 5) = 13 12

Wow these rolls are pretty good. Might go paladin

I was going for working in the HCIU, opened him up a bit more to his ablities, so he uses them a bit more. He usually only uses them in his own home and occasionally uses them at the station. He tries to avoid earth control whenever possible, as it is his least favorite part about gaining these abilities.

Okay so here is my application for this game. I do not have a name for the character yet, and I apologize now for the kind of lengthy rough draft of the back story.

Mutant Powers:

Spatial Awareness Level 6 (7 points)
Telekinesis Level 9 (13 points)
Teleportation Level 7 (11 points)
Earth Control Level 5 (9 points)

General Abilities:

Athletics - 6 points
Driving - 1 point
Filch - 2 points
Health - 9 (8 points + 1)
Infiltration - 6 points
Mechanics - 0 points
Medic - 2 points
Preparedness - 3 points
Scuffling - 2 points
Sense Trouble - 4 points
Shooting - 10 points
Stability - 6 points
Surveillance - 10 points

Backstory(wall of text):

He grew up in a small home with a family of four. It was just him, his two siblings and his single father. His father had a decent job as a teacher and was able to support all three of the kids, so he had a nice easy childhood. As he grew older he started noticing that when he dropped his pencil in class, it would always been in reach.

His powers really started to come out while he was playing baseball. He was pitching and the ball was hit right back at him. He was able to perfectly see how the ball was moving and was able to catch the ball with ease. He was shocked at the sight as just thought he got lucky. The next time he got up to bat he was able to see where the ball was going, and he found the perfect pitch and hit it. The ball went flying as he took off for first base. He turned his head as the ball went and saw that it was going to be a foul ball, and then as he focused on the ball and moved towards fair territory. He was only thirteen when this all happened.

As he got older he continued to play baseball, and made it onto his highschool team using his abilities as a pitcher. He was the starter for the team and only tried to use his powers when it was needed. During the championship game, he pitched a no hitter for the first eight innings of the game and his team and a 2 run lead. The closing pitcher for their team gave up a three run home run that lost the game. He was enraged by how they lost even though he did everything he could and the ground around him began shaking to the point where people began to lose their balance and fall over. The ground began shaking with such force the bleachers began to creak and some people almost fell off. Once he realized what was happening, he calmed down and saw the damage he did. After that day he stopped playing baseball out of embarrassment at what had happened, but that was not the end of his powers.

His final power manifested just a bit after the earthquake incident. He was going to be late for one of his finals during his junior year of high school, and he knew that if he was late he wouldn't be able to finish the test in time. As he rushed to get ready he walked into the bathroom, and all of a sudden he was in one of the school bathrooms. This final power came as a shock to him, and also a pain as he knew what it mean. After the final, he immediately submitted the required form for having such a power and went through all of the necessary steps. At first he did not mind having some of these abilities, but as they got more powerful he began to regret getting them.

During college he never used any of his abilities outside of where he lived because he didn't want to have to deal with any of the repercussions of people noticing what he could do. He still stayed away from baseball and pursued a degree in economics. There he didn't need to worry about his abilities, and he was just a normal person in college. After he graduated, he was able to land a job only a year or so out of college. He worked there for a few years before the HCIU came to him to recruit him.

Morning Routine:
Every morning is the same. He wakes up in his small 1 bed and 1 bath apartment to the sound of traffic outside his third story window. He gets up and walks towards the bathroom yawning. He takes a quick shower before brushing his teeth. After cleaning himself up a bit, he picks out his clothes for the day and puts them on. As he gets dressed, he makes the bed using his powers to hasten the process. Like every morning before he grabs a box of cheerios from a cabinet and a bowl from another. After pouring the cereal into the bowl he uses his powers once more to open the fridge and get the milk. He then leaves the cereal and milk in front of himself as he enjoys his breakfast.

I always enjoy black crusade, will try to create something when I get the chance. Last week classes/finals have me busy

I always enjoy playing in homebrew games and exploring the world the GM created so I am interested.

Definitely interested. This seems like this can be a great game

Dotting for interest

I am interested. I have been wanting to play a samurai for a bit, so I will put one together and have it done by hopefully tomorrow.

I am going to go with the barbarian/fighter combo with the Exposed to Awfulness campaign trait. I should have the crunch and back story done by tomorrow.

I really like the idea and I am thinking of playing a martial heavy character. Either Barbarian/Fighter or Paladin/Fighter.

Dotting. I have been looking forward to trying out this AP for a bit now.

I did not realize that, so scratch that idea.

Yeah, that kind of saber. I couldn't find anything in pathfinder about it.

I just have one quick question, is it possible to have a saber weapon with the same bonus damage for charging as a lance?

I will have a back story and an updated cohort/personal wealth by the end of the day.

Okay so, I have finished doing my character and I just have to set up his mount. I have yet to do back story, but will eventually think of something.

EDIT: I will be doing my personal army stuff tomorrow most likely.

I am interested, never played a planescape game so I will do some reading and throw together a character. I have no idea what I might do, but hopefully reading up on the game will give me some ideas.

I have two questions.

Are you going to require a backstory? If so what do you expect out of it/need?

At the start of the game, will we be allowed to "build" our own armies?

I am definitely interested. I have always wanted to play a high level gendarme cavalier.

I am interest. I have a character already almost finished, just have to change the stats accordingly to 20 point buy.

Putting a character together, should be done by the end of the day

I emphasize, though as I still live with my parents it's not quiiiite so much an emergency to me (still sucks though)

In any case, get a post in whenever you can, just remember real life comes first, we all understand that.

I think you meant to use the word empathize. Empathize is to understand how someone is feeling, emphasize is to give importance to something.

Scarletrose wrote:

the first level is full hp for you (and I'd say the rules for characters apply to your pet as well)

So it's 13 for you and 31 for your pet.

Also, I assume at some point you managed to get a legal permit to keep your pet as it is stated in the adventure that dangerous exotic animals requires one.
When you are ready to go make a Profile for the character and I will introduce you into the gameplay.

Yea, i had that in the backstory. I wasn't really specified but I put in after like a year or two of trying to get him in the city she was able to. Also I am going to put everything into the alias I made tomorrow. I will tell you guys when I am done, and to save myself some trouble I will be doing all of the posting for my character and the dino in the same post.

Yea, my character will be a ranged druid who will stay back and do stuff while my dinosaur will be ripping people in half

Cool! I'm glad Alfrazar sent you stuff - I was hoping to see the dinosaur druid application.

Hi, Alfrazar! I'm excited to see your character. I think pretty soon we're going to be heading into a taxidermist's shop to hunt down the Lotus Dragons - a thief's guild that our nemesis, Vanthus Vanderboren is involved with.

Looking forward to gaming with you!

Thanks, I'm rolling health for me and my dinosaur companion right now. I will be having a Deinonychus as a companion, so it will be fun.

For me:
Level 1: 1d8 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5
Level 2: 1d8 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2

For animal companion
HD 1: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
HD 2: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
HD 3: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

So according to what i saw posted this would be 11 health for me and 18 for the Deinonychus

Hey guys, I'm the new member of the party. I still have to line out one or two thing with the character before I am ready, but I should be all good to go by tomorrow.

I have only played Traveller once before, and that fell apart pretty quick. I would love to give it another go. I'm thinking of doing something with the marines.

4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 2, 2) = 7 6
4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 1, 4) = 14 13
4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 1, 6) = 14 13
4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 3, 1) = 9 8
4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 1, 2) = 8 7
4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 6, 2) = 18 16

Is there anyway we can get a bit more information on the world for backstory sake? Or can we get a bit creative?

Edit: Wow those are some really subpar rolls, any chance for rerolls?

I'm definitely interested

I always enjoy Kingmaker, how would you like us to do starting equipment? Average, roll?

4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 5, 4) = 15 12
4d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 1, 2) = 9 8
4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 2, 5) = 17 15
4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 4, 2) = 12 10
4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 3, 5) = 17 15
4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 5, 4) = 21 17

Looks like I'm gonna be a party face, probably a Cleric.

Posting an updated version of my god.

This is what I have so far. Moranus, Man of the Mountain.

Home: Material Plane
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Gender: Male
Portfolio: Mountains, Arctic, Caves
Worshipers: Dwarves, Anyone who lives in mountain ranges, Anyone who lives in an arctic region
Domains: Loyalty, Solitude, Earth
Subdomains: Resolve, Metal, Ice
Favored Weapon: Great Axe
Symbol: Mountain with crossed Axes
Sacred Animal: Ram
Sacred Colors: Gray, White

Favors:
Dwarves
People who live in seclusion
People who live in arctic regions
People are loyal to a person/cause

Dislikes:
Betrayal
Deserts
Anyone who uses lies and deceit to gain power

When Moranus became a god, he became very fond of the earth. He found underground caves and mountains the most interesting. He also liked how to earth could not lie or betray someone, either they survived in nature because they knew how to survive or they died. Sometimes misfortune would fall on people, but they would not be cheated by the earth. He expects this from his followers, they must be loyal to others. To him the best way to attain this loyalty was to spend extended periods of time, in seclusion from others. When they would return to society they would treasure each person more and would be more loyal to them so they don't have to go through the loneliness they felt when they were in seclusion.

@Dragonflyer1243, when do you think you are going to close sign-ups?

I haven't done this AP before and would love to give it a shot. I am thinking of doing a druid of some kind, and before I go to in depth in it I just want to know if you have any restrictions for animal companions.
