Swimming over is a kind of swimming around but yeah it's 3d combat... it's like everyone has fly.

Challenge (Ex):

Challenge (Ex) -> 2/day <-
Once per day, a cavalier can challenge a foe to combat. As a swift action, the cavalier chooses one target within sight to challenge. The cavalier’s melee attacks deal extra damage whenever the attacks are made against the target of his challenge. This extra damage is equal to the cavalier’s level. The cavalier can use this ability once per day at 1st level, plus one additional time per day for every three levels beyond 1st, to a maximum of seven times per day at 19th level.

Challenging a foe requires much of the cavalier’s concentration. The cavalier takes a –2 penalty to his Armor Class, except against attacks made by the target of his challenge.

The challenge remains in effect until the target is dead or unconscious or until the combat ends. Each cavalier’s challenge also includes another effect which is listed in the section describing the cavalier’s order.

Whenever a cavalier of the order of the waves issues a challenge, he receives a +1 morale bonus on his saving throws as long as he is underwater. This bonus increases by 1 for every 4 class levels the cavalier has. -> +2 <-

Seeing the beast so close made the adventure seem much less fun. Valera quickly tried to freeze it...as best she could. As the attack moved towards the shark sharp icicles formed, these not the cold seemed to harm the beast.

Valto tried to blind the shark but the spell had no effect.

Since I played a kineticist I know this. Basically your blasts are spell like abilities mechanically speaking. The energy blasts are ones that allow spell resistance, the physical blasts don't. One of the downsides of energy blasts is this but you are going against EAC. Cold spells underwater have half their damage converted to piercing which in this case is good, as the big shark thing has a high resistance cold but piercing damage works just fine!

Thats caster level 3 so that should be +1 higher... so Uziah is on 0, staggered but able to do something. So a standard or move action can be taken right?

An opening in the seabed below the coral reef leads to a massive underwater cave. The cave is undecorated save for a single patch of interwoven kelp strands attached to the wall. Small bones are scattered around the bed along with a few rusted curiosities from the sunken ship.

Loot in the Sahuagins Lair
A thin stone tablet near the altar to Dagon bears a detailed map showing a land route along ariver from the east coast of Ancorato into the mountains.
A leather bag hanging on the wall of the shipwreck contains three necklaces of air adaptation.
Some items the water naga Vriskirsa has scavenged remain here, including a corroded breastplate from ancient Azlant (broken, but worth 500 gp to a historian or collector), a statue of a female figure holding a moon set with mother of pearl (weighing 65 pounds and worth 1,100 gp), and a rectangular sheet of pounded copper etched with arcane symbols (worth 110 gp).
A chest near the altar also contains a bounty of coins lost with the
sunken ship: a total of 1,560 gp, 200 sp, and 3,450 cp.

Loot in the Devil Sharks Lair
The rusted trinkets from the broken ship have little to no value in their current condition, except for a locked steel box that has resisted time and the salty sea (hardness 10, hp 25, break DC 20, Disable Device DC 25). Inside the box is a folded leather cloak
of the manta ray.

After the devil shark is dead, Uzziah pulls the (I'm assuming) unconscious Uzziah away from the bloody cloud in the water and applies First Aid to the man.

Taking 10 makes the DC 15 check

"We should find a safe place to hole up for the night so we can recover. I don't think the naga means us harm, but I'd rather not take the chance."

Heiek goes over his notes and as he draws the map suspects there might be a bay to the north of the nagas lair, not as large as the one Talmandor's bounty lies within.

I know thats not how the ability works but still felt it might be interesting.

No, I like it! Any utility or color that you can add to the ability is awesome.

Heiek nods absently at the now awake bloodied and beaten Uzziah. He holds up one of his maps.

"Okay, see the contours around in this area?" One of Heiek's quills hovers around a general area of a topographical map of unknown origin before he rapidly shuffles through his papers and pulls out another map.

"And then this river flows kind of northeasterly and then it curves over here," Heiek picks up the map of the stone tablet he copied, "and this trail is way too far south... unless there's something else up here in... that direction.

"Don't you see? There's probably a cove or a sinkhole or something! We should check it out!"

The night goes by without incident but as you go through the usual morning routine and start cooking up your breakfast you gradually come to a strange realisation. Uzziah doesn't spot anything immediately in the area but the jungle nearby is so dense it could easily conceal something but it would take effort to search it properly.

"I do not venture onto the island often, and then not far but this area is covered in ancient ruins and some of them still have effects. Some are beneficial or benign but others can be dangerous, you might have ended up near some buried or half buried ruins."

"At the centre of this island a hag keeps her lair in some ruins upon the highest mountain in the middle of a small lake."
