Garrick is going to start gathering the bodies and piling stones on them while people commune with the haunt. You can assume that's what I'm doing every round unless something odd happens to stop me.

Garrick is going to start gathering the bodies and piling stones on them while people commune with the haunt. You can assume that's what I'm doing every round unless something odd happens to stop me.
I placed the party in rounds for a reason, but I don't want things to drag on unnecessarily. I know most players are invested in trying to communicate with the haunt/spirit. So, let me ask this: Does anyone plan on taking any additional actions for the next two rounds beyond those already posted?
I will wait another 24 hours or so for responses. For a PC for which I have no response, I will assume he or she is delaying and/or continuing the most recently posted action.

Taarik will hold the weapon. He will try to communicate with the weapon on an emotional level and also in the languages that he knows!

GM Valen |

Should I make further linguistics checks?
No need, the process for communicating in this manner takes minutes so I can account for what you (and the other PCs aiding) are doing for the next several rounds. It is the others that I can't necessarily anticipate.

Taarik hands the hammer over.
"Of course! Please take it ... "

GM Valen |

Balin holds the hammer. "Are ye haunted?"
The silvered hammer sits mute in the dwarf's hands for a few moments.
Then, in seeming response, a voice, like broken glass, can be heard echoing through the caverns:
"Something creeping in our home.
Is it dwarf or is it gnome?
Either way we’ll stab it right,
Then we eat some meat tonight!
Steelfang slashers we the best,
Burn your banner, smash your crest!
Come and get us if you can,
Face our mighty goblin clan!”
A goblin appears from one of the caverns ahead, bearing a bow which she draws and fires at the nearest newcomer!

Garrick and Taariik each strikes down the goblin before him with swift precision. The caves falls silent.
Combat Over (and what a finish!)
A leather bag is propped up against one of the walls in the chamber, indicating that these Steelfang goblins were in the middle of sorting out their latest haul. The contents mostly consist of personal effects of negligible value, but contain a wand of prayer [ooc](5 charges)[/coo]. Broken stone from shattered statues and altars litter the lair, though a few stone tablets remain. Those that are intact have been defaced with paint, each bearing a drawing of a round goblin head with knives for teeth, but they are otherwise undamaged.
You are able to piece together the content of one of the tablets from the various pieces. The tablets contain an ancient ballad that tells the story of a dwarf named Jorgar Ironbellows, an ambitious noble who murdered his father to secure his inheritance, only to be assassinated by his own son in turn. The fable serves as a cautionary tale, warning others about the folly of favoring one’s own ambition above the lives of their fellow dwarves.
You suddenly receive a brief vision of an elderly gnome woman who says, “If only this song had been sung in the halls of Absalom’s lodge, perhaps these lessons would have saved a few lives and reputations. Sing it once more for me the next time you’re there, would you?”
