Serially, I recommend moving out of LOS to those Max damage arrowers.
Your grease spell may very well have saved Vasschts life, though Skellington might face her ire
A good plan; Nik will run for his life xD
Also I just double checked the range of Grease; 30' range at lvl 2 means it can't be square where I plopped it down (the upper right square would be 35' away, so the slick is L shaped. The same to targets got hit with it tho)
Hopefully our glorious leader GM notices the fix before he decides what Imogen would do :3
edit: BTW, the other guy with the heavy crossbow needs to either spend two standards to reload (if he draws as a move) or he needs a feat to drop the reload heavy crossbow action from Full Round to a Move :3
Nikrir Leldro
pretty handy order when the rest of the group are all spellcasters!
I think they especially like wizards and druids, of which we have both xD
Nikrir Leldro
especially not exclusively ^_^
but Jek likes Nik better :P
Jek Tal'dor
Order of the staff goes with his backstory and fits with the party. Granted, using challenge is really dangerous right now. If I were to challenge and charge that hobgoblin, I'd have an AC of 7 against the archers.
Side note, people haven't been up front about their classes. I'm fairly sure Jek has no idea that Akrynn is a druid.
Akrynn
We did kind of skipped introductions...lol.
Although, Akrynn is a bit stand-offish, I plan on him becoming friends with the group members. If we survive this onslaught...lol.

As long as Nik survives and hits level 3, with enough onyx we can all be friends forever no matter what :D
Vaascht
Out of town until Sunday
DM_Delmoth
It would be super helpful for me if you called out you conditional modifiers to attack and damage in the dice name. example.
I see your point about the dice wanting you dead though.
Vaascht
Will do.
Also, I hate to say this but I believe Imogens shocking grasp is still available on her sword, I don't think missing the attack kills the spell.
I hope I'm wrong...
Nikrir Leldro
Normally, a successfully cast touch spell would still be ready (if no other spells were cast), I don't know if the Magus ability does the same thing in that regard...
DM_Delmoth
Apologies, I posted that just before work, and I didn't verbalize it. I am assuming that Common will work on most Sigil humanoids, but he is learning as many languages as possible...lol.
No apology needed. If you don't specify what Arkynn says I'll assume it's in common or the last language he spoke to the target and the simplest sentence that would convey the prohibition.
DM_Delmoth
I hate myself for clarifying, but her first attack she passed the concentration and spell resistance but just missed the swing. Hopefully she failed a second and fizzled the first too. I'm only so aware because that shocking grasp had/has my name on it :)
Correct she isn't holding a charge currently.

Whew.
Scorching Ray next?

Don't give the GM ideas xD
In other news, Skellington dodges destruction once again. Maybe he'll add another title to his name after all :3
Nikrir Leldro
would you mind sharing those hot dice with Vaascht? Though I'm not complaining as Imogens dice are just as cold as his. It reminds me of playing HeroQuest long ago with a buddy and yelling "foam bats, foam bats!" When our heroes and goblin mooks went round after round with no damage between em
I think Skellington might be Maxwell's demon, with all his hot and cold rolls xD
Vaascht
Well, since he's the one doing all the work im not going to complain.
Vaascht
Looks like we've lost our items in the treasure sheet? Or is that just my slow internet failing to load again?
DM_Delmoth
You lost all your gear except the stuff that you've found since entering the Citadel of Fire. Should you find the gear you lost I'll put it back up. Looks like Vaascht is missing his Greensteel katana though, there may be other things that you found that haven't been listed. For the most part I'm delegating the loot management to you (the players) because I manage the loot for nearly all my other games.
Vaascht
Derp, of course we did. Big time brain fart there...
I noticed when I was going to add the katana.
Nikrir Leldro

Yeah, Nik was lucky in that regard, but we got to go find the stuff D:
Or at least reasonable replacement stuff...
Also a second title:
Skellington the 3rd: undefeatable weight loss champion of Sigil and mage slayer.

Rinika double moves to box in the priest and extends her claws to menace him and make him think twice about casting.
Boxed in! I get it xD

Give 'me a taste of their own medicine, the bastids!

Sorry for the delay, game on. Hopefully things at work get better soon.
Nikrir Leldro
No worries, welcome back!

It's all good.

Just a note:. Gm, loving the adventure and really liking this group. Well done all!
DM_Delmoth
Huzzah! I'm having a good time too. Thanks all for being awesome players.
Nikrir Leldro
Same ^_^
Nikrir Leldro
We're still doing a single Standard Action for surprise rounds, right? :3
Jek Tal'dor
Yep. Sorry about that. Moved back.
Rinika
I'm sitting right smack dab in the middle of Dorian's path, which could affect my posting rate in the upcoming days. Bot if necessary, and I'll be back when I can.
Vaascht
Stay safe!
Nikrir Leldro
Stay safe, or else!
Also I just noticed that Jek and Nik can act in Round 1 before the bad guys, so I'll just take that double move before being reminded xD
and by the way, I'll be camping IRL until after labor day, please bot as needed!
(Nik will be mostly acid splashing for now, I think; maybe use another xbow bolt?)
Nikrir Leldro
BTW, I just figured out how to change the data validation for the loot sheet carrier column and added nik (and his undead) to the list of possible carriers, but that probably also broke something that depends on those answers, sorry ^^;
(also I removed Yomi and Evie since I'm pretty sure that they left the game)
DM_Delmoth
Lol, hopefully Jek can fix it if need be. I was afraid to touch it, yes Yomi and Evie are gone.
Nikrir Leldro
based on what I saw, Nik's sheet is using Yomi for the formulas xD
Not sure how many places though...
Jek Tal'dor
Hey no problem. Everything you did was fine. There was a Yomi reference where it totaled up your party loot carried weight. Almost all of the references were based on the tab name so they updated automatically. I missed the references where it had to pick you out of a list or validate data.
If there's anything you'd like to see on the sheet, I can tinker with it.
Nikrir Leldro
gold filigree? :D
Actually now that I think about it, maybe something to track what my undead minions carry? Or just leave as I did and have a carrier option be "Nikrir's undead" and I can figure out Skellington et al's carrying capacity :3
Which reminds me, Jek can carry a pretty ridiculously heavy weight, right? :3
Lemme go check them rules... 20 str... large quadraped for x3...
400 pound light load!
800 medium!
1200 heavy!
I think you're able to carry everyone else in the party and charge if you want to...
Nikrir Leldro
I don't know if that was a good idea or not... but I'm pretty sure fire creatures don't get fast healing :D
DM_Delmoth
I figured we'd do best if we could all just go in the same block :3
Couldn't figure out any way that keeping the door shut helped; you know, unless we don't mind losing the door...
You could have fired on it through the arrorw slits while it slowly chewed away at the door. That would have used up a lot of ammo with its DR 5 though.

The 6th tab on the loot sheet has been reworked for Skellington. His loot total show's on Nikrir's tab. He's listed separately on the party report tab to avoid double-counting. Gold filigree spreadsheet example still needed.

I was having a lot of fun with that during character creation. It's also why he's a courier. He's like a one-tined fork lift.
DM_Delmoth
from what I can tell, I don't need any special tests to use Imogens book to prepare spells? If not, I'll prep shield and shocking grasp again
A wizard can use a borrowed spellbook to prepare a spell he already knows and has recorded in his own spellbook, but preparation success is not assured. First, the wizard must decipher the writing in the book (see Arcane Magical Writings, above). Once a spell from another spellcaster’s book is deciphered, the reader must make a Spellcraft check (DC 15 + spell’s level) to prepare the spell. If the check succeeds, the wizard can prepare the spell. He must repeat the check to prepare the spell again, no matter how many times he has prepared it before. If the check fails, he cannot try to prepare the spell from the same source again until the next day. However, as explained above, he does not need to repeat a check to decipher the writing.
Sounds like you need to decipher it (read magic will do this automatically), and then another spellcraft check to prepare it. At least until you can copy the spells into your own spellbook. You could use the blank pages in Imogen's book if you found ink of appropriate value to copy the spells.
Vaascht
Well then, guess we are going with no spells from Vaascht today then.
DM_Delmoth
Its not as big a problem as you think because you can take 10 on the spellcraft check. Unless some distracting situation breaks out while you try to prepare spells.
After Vaascht decipher's the spells, Imogen's spellbook is Vaascht's spellbook because he can hit the DC's for all the spells with a 10.
