With a final zap, the flying creature falls dead.
COMBAT OVER
The creatures, with their hides intact, lain slain on the artificial floor. The exposed conduit continues to issue sparks, which illuminate rusted crates and plastic barrels crowed this cramped workspace. Discarded R2E packaging, beverage pouches, and packing material litter the space. A ledge along the wall holds a stack of rubber mats in an approximation of a bed beside a high-quality industrial backpack.
You may attempt a Computers check to access the tier 3 computer.
Perception (DC 27+) reveals the information under the spoiler below:
This provides a +2 bonus to disable explosives.

Seeing that the creatures are dispatched, Bisig moves toward the backpack and glances inside of it.

Can I take ten minutes to recover stamina?

"Feriac, the computer may offer some information on the target. Otherwise we are at a loss. "
Kadef turns to examine the rest of the room, thinking aloud. "Why would an assassin travel with creatures like these? They would attract attention. And why vesk scale oil and hair product? Is there a race that combines scales and hair?"
Life Science, species guessing: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Any sign of cages for the electro-birds?
That fight beat us up pretty good. I am definitely in favor of resting and recovering stamina. It will give me a chance to use 'look alive' too. +2 to perception and initiative checks.

Igna is amazed by Feriac's incredible powers of perception.
She switches batteries, putting the half used one on her belt and a fresh one in her "cooker".
"I'm no good with computers... but I hope someone can check it.
Scalesheen oil: like Vesk's use? Or another scaled creature.
And Texture Cream for Curly Hair... Ms. Elsebo has curly hair."

![]() |

"I only surmise so, but Feriac has the tools to check the scale cream's marketing. " The kasatha pauses for a second. "Or maybe she's a shape changer, or has some other means of transformation or disguise."
After a few seconds more Kadef walks to the entrance and looks down the corridors. "Maybe there are some sec-cams that saw something."
Perception, cameras and stuff : 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Feriac's 'honey do' list: check computer, google scale cream ; google cameras that might have seen someone entering or exiting.
Ha! I should be more specific. I wanted to know if there was a species that had scales and hair. Since you gave me some info on the last roll, I'll try again.

Kadef senses no security cameras in the area. Nor is he readily aware of any sentient creature that sports both hair and scales.
Feriac's attempt to access the computer is unsuccessful, but concludes that, if he works quickly, he may be able to make a couple more attempts before he is locked out.
Two more Computers checks (DC 25) may be attempted before the lockout measure is activated.

Igna shuffles around, hoping you can access the computer.
"I have an aunt who sports both hair and scales... oh, but you said "sentient creature", so she doesn't count."

"I only use plug n'play things... no idea of what to do with computers, so I can't help you. We can just take this back with us if you can't open it. Don't feel bad."

GM Valen |

Or, can you take 20? Or the rest of us can try untrained aid anothers?
As there is an adverse effect upon failure, Take 20 is not permitted. Likewise, Computers is a trained-only skill, so I don't believe untrained skill checks to aid another are permitted. (CRB, pp. 132-133).
What is the plan?

GM Valen |

Success! Well done!
The latest algorithm works and Feriac manages to access the computer and finds records of infosphere searches for a human woman named Sanivvi Acheosi, a tawny-skinned woman with wildly curly hair currently residing on Castrovel, and several pages of instructions and videos
for styling curly hair.
Those who look at the contents that Feriac accessed may make a Perception check.
As Feriac searches further, it is evidence that the computer also has a firewall protecting a secure data module.
Hacking this firewall requires a separate successful Computers check.
