About Volter
Description and Bio
Volter Stova is a bio-mechanical android with a body that looks more construct than human. Their most notible feature is their synthetic brain that you can partially see through their synthetic skull. It was grown and created to see if it's possible to create androids to be more susceptible to emotions. Because of this, Volter's emotional intelligence is exceptionally high for an android but the experiment wasn't a complete success as Volter is has trouble developing emotional connections but that fault lies on the shoulders of their creators who did not prioritize socialization and communication skills in Volter's upbringing. Volter's other noticeable features include partial translucent skin where you can see their chromed out muscular wiring and other features. On the other side of their head that doesn't show their brain is a functional wire map that looks like a holographic tattoo of a wolf. One of their creator's had a flair for aesthetics and spirituality. Her name was Talian Stova, a Lashunta who treated the androids like her own children when protocol didn't interfere in the androids lives. Talian taught Volter and the others about how we are connected to all in the universe, that our paths in life are only predetermined in that we have more of a say in what our future holds and that all creatures should be respected and treated with compassion. Volter was close with Talian and that is why they took her last name for their own as they see her as their adopted mother.
Volter came into contact with the Dreamers of Liavara while accompanying their creators to Arkanen so that they could study the inhabitants that have developed supernatural abilities from the Dreamers to see if it would also have any effect on their subjects like Volter. Out of all the androids that were brought to Arkanen only Volter was one of the few who started to show developments of supernatural abilities. The scientists hypothesize that it's because Volter was created to have more of a connection to their emotions. However Volter didn't stick around to let the scientists run their experiments as Volter's vision left them very confused and left them with a feeling of urgency to help this universe's species in survival. What that means and what it entails Volter doesn't know. They just took what they had with them and hopped a ship back to Absalom Station to start looking for work that they would think would do well in servicing a community. They didn't leave without telling Talian what was happening and without giving them a hug. Although Talian wanted Volter to stay so they could study this phenomena she instead gave Volter her blessing and helped them leave the Liavarian moon.
