Dorian's whip played at the cultist's feet, but couldn't successfully tangle them enough to hold. As he yanked back the whip pulled free and left their foe standing. Syrenna swings three times, but all three strikes come up on different sides of the enemy. Trenna tries to sink her teeth into him, be he moves far too quickly for her. Nadesico offers some healing to the group, barely keeping her party memebers on their feet.
Raising his holy symbol for the third time, the cultist unleashes another blast of negative energy into the room. He looks around to see if any of his enemies have dropped, dismayed it hasn't happened yet.

Syrenna finally breaks the defenses of the cultist, landing one of her strikes on the cultist and inflicting the first real damage to him. Dorian tries to disarm him, but his feeble attempt is entirely too slow.
The cultist raises his hands once again, holding his unholy symbol high above.

There is some commotion from the office where the cultist just emerged from, two voices arguing over something that you don't understand. One of them yells "NOW!" and two loud crashing sounds can be heard as two bodies drop from the ceiling somewhere in the office to your east. Looking over, you recognize a trap door in the ceiling that leads to the roof above. These are clearly reinforcements, right?
The cultists looks over at these two and finally speaks for the first time. "Damn you! WHY WON'T YOU TWO JUST DIE ALREADY!" he shouts at them in anger. No reinforcements then? you think to yourselves as he spins back to face you, going silent once more.
Using some of Akivar's fancy magic, you were able to get to the roof and drop into his office and take him by surprise only to find some other group already fighting him!

Trenna feels the full brunt of the energy course through her and knows she only has one more shot. When the masked figure speaks, the voice is familiar but she cannot place it. Same with the ghost in the other room.
She calls out to Shoanti, asking for guidance as she tries again to rip the holy symbol from the man's hand.

When Trenna reaches for and grabs a hold of the cultist's unholy symbol, Ironbriar slashes her with his longsword.

As she rips the holy symbol from his neck, he curses loudly in frustration. He looks over his shoulder back by the way the new people just arrived and takes a 5' step backwards and casts a spell.

Syrenna tries to hit the cultist as he moves next to her and starts casting a spell, but what must be magical protections makes me nearly impossible to hit.
Dorian however is a little more fortunate. As the man slips past him, the Butcher's whip cracks around his ankle and trips him up. He closes his eyes and focuses and as he stumbles to the ground, he disappears from sight entirely.

Seeing Dorian trip up the cultist before he disappears, Nadesico shouts out "He could not have gotten far!. Try right there!" as she points to the square between Dorian and Syrenna.
She then points her hand and giggles "Looking a little wet there? Yes? Yes!"
as suddenly gallons of water splash from above crashing into the square.

Goal of this, cover the "invisible" guy in the square, if he is there, with a substance to help others pinpoint his location. i understand it wont make him visible, but maybe it will help make him easier to find.

Trenna watches the water cascade down on Ironbriar and takes a deep breath. A growl forms in her throat as she smells him on the floor. She crunches down on the unholy symbol, savoring the crack of the wood.

Dorian saw Ironbriar disappear and took a deep breath. He hated to do it, but there was only one choice that he could see, if they wanted to make sure this jerk didn't get away.

He grabs a handful of notes from his pocket, looks through them momentarily, and shoves them back in. A quick glaze floats over his eyes before clearing.

Hedge isn't sure what the do, delaying for the moment until finds a clearer path to the enemy.
Trenna destroys the unholy symbol as Syrenna unsuccessfully tries to hit the invisible foe.
Nadesico's water keeps the rough area that the cultist is in together just long enough that Dorian is able blaster the area with some magical sparkles that illuminate all objects within much more clearly. Though the wet and invisible form of Ironbriar is able to shield his eyes, the same can't be said for the rest of his body. Covered in golden particles, the cultist is clearly outlined in his invisible state and curses loudly for all to hear. "FOOLS! My Mistress will have your souls! You've doomed yourselves!"
The golden-covered shortsword slashes across Dorian's femoral, ripping open a huge wound in his right leg. As blood begins to drain from his body, the cultist rises to his feet and steps five feet closer to Akivar.
Dorian, Nadesico and Syrenna get an AoO when he stands.

Seeing little space in the melee, Hedge decides to take the advice of the woman who is now FIRING SNOWBALLS FROM HER MOUTH.
His eyes widen briefly. It isn't the weirdest thing he's seen outside the monastery, but it certainly took him by surprise. He takes a step back and readies shiruken, watching the nearby entrances.

Dorian gasped as he felt the blade slice into his inner thigh. He jabbed forward with the rapier in his left hand, even as he dropped his whip and clutched at the bleeding wound with his other. He staggered backward before gasping out a a curative spell on himself.

Though well intentioned, the parties attempts to attack as Justice Ironbriar stand all miss.
The sparkly cultist manages to avoid the bulk of Trenna's spell and most of Syrenna's attacks, but her last one manages to cut through his defense and you finally see blood splash out from his invisible but golden outlined body. Ironbriar screams in pain from the strike as he just barely fights off Akivar attempt to bind him in place.
Hedge guards against additional reinforcements as Dorian quickly downs a healing potion to keep him in the fight.
TIME TO MONOLOGUE BABY!
"FOOLS!" he blurts out, not bothering to hide the scathing venom in his voice now. "My mistresses plan was going perfectly to plan until you meddlesome lot got in the way! Everything would have worked just fine if it wasn't for you and that stupid animal-shifter of yours! No matter! We shall prevail, we cannot be stopped!"
Justice Ironbriar turns his back on Nadesico and Syrenna, and walks into the room with Akivar. Without giving him a look, he grabs a hold of the ladder that both Hedge and Akivar descended from and climbs up to the floor above, out of sight. Provoking. Once up top there is a loud THUNK as the trapdoor in the ceiling closes shut.

Both Syrenna and Akivar miss in their attempts to strike the fleeing cultist. Syrenna quickly takes to the ladder and starts to climb up to the next floor. As she reaches the ceiling, she finds that the trapdoor is closed and resists being open. Please make a strength check to force it open.

Trenna watches Ironbrian disappear and sits back for a second, "we should heal up before we give chase. Anyone have a wand? I can't exactl get to mine at the moment." She begins to chant softly "Sanigxo estas demando de tempo, sed ĝi estas kelkfoje ankaŭ afero de ŝanco. Sanigu vin mem!"

Syrenna pushes on the door, but whatever is on the other side prevents her from opening it. For now, Syrenna blocks the ladder up and the trapdoor remains shut. The window is now open however, a small bird flying just inside of the opening.
