GM Erich |
Great, I'll send chronicles and the boon out tomorrow, feel free to make any purchases you need. Everyone will be fully healed up for Part 3 starting on Friday. Let me know if anyone levels up, we may be getting close to a tier change (and more danger...)
Eka |
Eka will still be level 1 after this.
Qiroyo Darudo |
that's my third mission. So 3 XP means I get to levle up, right?
Cyclic |
Yep, 3 XP per level. You get that nice judgment ability as long as you did not trade it for some archtype.
I hate it when an archtype trades a signature ability for some lame skill bonuses or something. It's like they chose to write something that would never be used for the pure joy of writing useless words.
Qiroyo Darudo |
I'm taking Sensei monk from here on!
Sir Durant Aumarideth |
I'm all leveled up, just waiting on chronicle to update my wealth and what not. Might make some purchases depending on what kinda haul this brings in.
GM Erich |
Running a little behind getting the chronicles out (computer down at home after I moved) but I'll let you know the gp.
Level 1 and 2 characters (everyone but Cyclic) get 505 gp.
Level 3 character (Cyclic) gets 885 gp.
Everyone gets 1 xp and 2 prestige.
Only items for sale on chronicle are: Potion of cure moderate wounds (300 gp) and Scroll of remove disease (375 gp)
Eka |
My chronicle looks good. Thanks a bunch! I'm looking forward to the next one. :)
Cyclic |
Got mine in the mail and it looks good.
Sir Durant Aumarideth |
Same here! Thanks for getting that out to us, PDK!
I'm just making some decisions on purchases here, but I'm otherwise ready to go for part 3.
Qiroyo Darudo |
apperently I sold more than I bought. switched from longbow to crossbow, sold the armor.
rdy to go
GM Erich |
Part 3 begins. Looks like Qiroyo and Sir Durant leveled, but we are still in 1-2 subtier. That means Belmiir, Cyclic and Eka will level after part 3 and we will be subtier 3-4 for the final part.
Sir Durant Aumarideth |
Purchases before Part 3
Potion of Cure Light Wounds (50gp)
Oil of Bless Weapon (50gp)
Potion of Veil of Positive Energy (50gp)
Potion of Aspect of the Nightingale (50gp)
GM Erich |
@Durant I don't think you can get potions for the last two as they have a range of "personal" per the creating potion rules in the Magic Item Creation section of the Core Rulebook.
Sir Durant Aumarideth |
Ah! Good call. I missed that in the spell descriptions. Okay, I'll just swap those out for another potion of cure light and a potion of protection from evil.
Belmiir |
sorry Belmiir leveled too! Will keep a better pace starting tomorrow..(and will update Belmiir tomorrow 5/25/19 as well) thx for running part 2...looking forward to part 3! (FYI that makes Belmiir lv3 if that changes our tier)
Sir Durant Aumarideth |
Adding an alchemical silver light flail to my purchases for this scenario for 98gp.
Belmiir |
Ha! just leveled so Belmiir has keen recollection. (He can make all knowledge checks even untrained). I'll burn a point of inspiration of the religion check..and since I'm trained in local no need to burn an inspiration point.
BTW @Sir Durant Aumarideth, I may be incorrect..but I don't think you can aid another, on knowledge checks..the exception being if you are already in a house of knowledge or research..ie..a University or Library...this represents once character running to fetch certain books, or ask questions for another PC. Anyway, don't know where I'm getting that from, but it's the way we've always played it in our home game.
GM Erich |
@Belmiir, I get that ruling for a home game, it does make some intuitive sense.
For PFS though, I stick to Rules as Written, and I don't see anything that prevents using aid another for knowledge skill checks (note that it is specifically prohibited for UMD, for example). By RAW I would even allow it in combat (to identify monsters) but note that it would take a standard action and need to precede the main check in the initiative order.
For further support of this logic, there is a feat called Wise Teacher (from Inner Sea Gods) that describes using aid another for knowledges...
Qiroyo Darudo |
I will be on vacation starting Friday for two weeks. I will, of course, have internet, but I can't promise, I'll use it to check in with you guys regularly. Please bot whenever necessary.
Eka |
FYI: I will be on vacation from July 7-22. It is likely that I will be able to check in during that time, but daily posting can't be guaranteed.
Sir Durant Aumarideth |
I'm in a similar situation, though my dates are different. I'll be out on vacation from July 2-7. Like Eka, I may be able to check in during those dates, but may not be available for daily posting. Please feel free to bot as needed.
Bot instructions are in my profile!
GM Erich |
@Cyclic You are correct, I did miss the prone condition on the attack. Unfortunately the 17 still hits because Mange's AC is lowered by 5 due to the darkness (-2 AC and lose dex to AC).
Cyclic |
Wow. Poor mange is a sitting target them. Better keep that wand of CLW warmed up.
Eka |
Thanks for the bot earlier, and my apologies for missing my turn. Life got busy as I have been trying to play catch up after the two week vacation. I should be good to go now.
GM Erich |
It seems that Belmiir hasn't posted in this campaign in quite some time, and a little bit of sleuthing shows that he hasn't posted in other campaigns for almost a month (including one he was GMing). Here is hoping that all is well for him in real life, but I will be botting his character until I hear something different.
Eka |
Fingers crossed that Belmiir's just busy with good/normal-type stuff.
Eka |
Sure! That would make for some hilarious slipping and windmilling. Haha!
GM Erich |
Poor Dalirio, he never had a chance! We are now reaching the end of Part 3 of the series. One more to go...
As before, here are the boon rolls for the ones who didn't win yet.
Altorin: 1d20 ⇒ 5
Eka: 1d20 ⇒ 5
Qiroyo: 1d20 ⇒ 11
Sir Durant: 1d20 ⇒ 16
Sir Durant wins the boon! Please let me know which one you would like. The descriptions are in a link a few posts up...
Sapphire Guardian
Scholar of the Sages/Model Pathfinder
Fighting Off Corruption(Ghoul) How appropriate for this scenario!
Martial Tradition
Psychic Awakening
Also, please roll your day jobs if you have one. I will try to send chronicles out tonight.
GM Erich |
I am planning on starting Part IV of this series on Monday. I believe after everyone levels (who hasn't yet), we will be at Subtier 3-4, so a bit more level appropriate challenges.
That said, I also realize this third part went longer than I anticipated and we have run up to near the start of Gameday VIII on August 26th.
If no one is planning to use these characters in a game there then we can start on Monday with Part IV of this series. If several of you have committed to play in a Gameday scenario with these characters then I am willing to postpone this game until it is complete (early November).
Let me know what you think!
Sir Durant Aumarideth |
Woohoo! Thanks Erich!
As for the boon choice, I think I will take the Psychic Awakening boon. By the time I get it fully activated, I should have the Divine Bond class feature, so I can really get a sweet sword to strike down Iomedae's enemies!
Day Job (Diplomacy*): 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25
*See my Caravan vanity
EDIT - Also, this character is free to finish up this series and is not signed up for any Gameday scenarios.
Eka |
I haven't signed Eka up for anything else, either, so I'm free to start Part IV whenever you're ready. Thanks so much for running this series for us! I've really enjoyed it.
Profession (hired guard): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
