As far as I'm aware the ceiling is 15 feet tall. Large enough to fit a dragon, though not comfortably by any means.

GM XaveTheNerd |

I don't have time to formulate a post this morning, but Roldala, where are you getting all the damage on the queen? I must have missed something in my notes.

![]() |

Roldala's initial attack at "the biggest bug" here was for 34 damage and seemed high enough to have likely hit :-)

![]() |

Still here...

![]() |

Of course here! :-)

Here!

Still getting in the groove of waking up early enough to post. Will update during lunch today.

![]() |

Without much to do here and suspecting that the ooze is puddlified at this point, I'm going to see how this resolves before posting. I'll check my computer multiple times today so I don't hold us up too much if it isn't defeated yet!

![]() |

I will be on vacation with limited to no internet access. I'll post if I can, but otherwise will need to be botted. Regular posting will resume on July 2nd.

GM XaveTheNerd |

I've still gotta get better at posting BEFORE vanishing for a bit.
Just finished up a weekend of meetings for work that kept me away from my computer.

GM XaveTheNerd |

An apology to all. I missed something when reading through the first time, and I'm trying to find it. Your primary success condition is NOT what I thought it was, so I'm a bit confused. Please forgive me. I'll post again in gameplay once I figure it out. To any who have GMed this before, you'll know why the confusion exists in the first place.
Hang in there, we're almost done. Just have to figure out how you were supposed to complete your primary objective.

![]() |

Any luck GM?

Okay. I THINK I get it. We're going to have to quickly retcon some things, but I should have a post out within the next 2 hours. Thanks for waiting. This scenario is just.....weird to run.
Stick with me. We should be able to finish up before July's over.

![]() |

No problem, I remember there being a lot of chaff to sort through while running the scenario.

![]() |

Hi guys, I am on vacation starting tomorrow for three weeks so please bot me as I will only be able to post every couple of days. Sorry for any inconvenience caused!

![]() |

Sorry to hear, Cervantes. My condolences to you and your family.

![]() |

Sorry to hear that Cervantes :(

GM XaveTheNerd |

Hey all. I've got a really bad headache today. Probably won't be able to update today.

![]() |

Just brainstorming to summarize what we know and where we need to go;
Some samurai were here, which is a big historic deal.
This is the the site of a ritual to imprison that big deal lich.
The tracks lead to a long dead body, who once owned the sword and died due holy energy.
We have a sword.
The ritual wasn't completed.
We have a holy symbol.
So.. Should we try to complete a ritual that we know nothing about... Or document all this and take the notes back to tell the tale of a failed ritual?
Anything I'm missing?

![]() |

We have a body damaged by holy energy.
The body and the sword seem to go together.
We have a couple unexplored rooms.
There were instructions. They may be repairable if we have the right spell.

GM XaveTheNerd |

You have, unfortunately, failed one of the objects that tells you how to complete the ritual (which is apparently your primary success condition.)
There is still one more left in the rooms you haven't explored.

![]() |

Back to the last and unexplored room to hope for the best.

![]() |

Our tokens are already in position for the next unexplored room.

GM, are you sure that merely touching the parchment would have destroyed it? And could we not have made a perception or other skill checks to see that this would happen? Seems too harsh to just crumble without a chance to secure the note.

Lutorinus does have Make Whole prepared if that helps!

![]() |

Helps!! :-)

GM XaveTheNerd |

The vellum is fragile; handling it without causing it to crumble to pieces requires the PCs to cast restorative magic such as mending on it or succeed at a DC 15 Disable Device of Sleight of Hand check.
I read that as you'd have to specifically try to be careful. BUT, Make Whole will work!

![]() |

Yay! :D

![]() |

Any chance we can wrap this up over the next week? Is there much left to get through?

GM XaveTheNerd |

Sorry guys. Woke up feeling pretty sick end of last week. Hopefully I'll start to feel better soon.
As for finishing this week, I'll get the chronicles started when I start to feel better. I believe we're done at this point.

GM XaveTheNerd |

Once again, sorry for the delay. I think I've found everything I need to have crossed out. It's all over the place. Chronicles incoming by lunch. Guaranteed.

GM XaveTheNerd |

Last thing: Before I can report to the online support program, I need your emails in case you happen to get a boon. Feel free to DM them to me. Promise I won't use them for anything else.

GM XaveTheNerd |

And after 5 months. Here are the chronicles.
This scenario was confusing. I hope to play with you all again, but I do totally understand if you avoid my games like the plague. Life got busy. Stuff went down. And the scenario was confusing. All of that together made it a bit harder to post on this scenario than usual.

![]() |

THanks a lot GM! email sent!

![]() |

Life happens. Thanks for running and helping to make this character's dream come true. I can now retire him with his life's goal complete! Will PM you my email.
And thanks again to everyone else. You guys were an awesome group of players!

![]() |

Thanks for the game. I'll probably rework Cervantes a bit. He got to do his shtick, but felt pretty flat.

![]() |

Life happens - I'm just glad it was good developments taking up your time :-)
Chronicle looks good, and thanks for running!

![]() |

Perfect,thanks GM!

![]() |

Sorry about the silence. Thank you for running the game. I really enjoyed it. I'm also happy for you and the many milestones you have crossed in the past months.

GM XaveTheNerd |

I'll wait one more day for Val's email before reporting the game and closing the thread. Thank you all for understanding and happy gaming!
