I've rebuilt Amnayel a bit away from a two handed build and be a little more defensive to use shields. Dropping furious focus and power attack, she's now going to be using a sword and shield up front. She'll pick up exotic weapon proficiency to retain the huge ass sword as suggested by our necromancer along with Dodge to bring her AC up.

I picked up the restorative mercy to heal some ability damage with LOH.

As an aside, if you think it would be better for me to take shield focus instead of exotic to use a smaller weapon and get another AC, let me know. I'm open to suggestions!

I think the AC buff would be moderately better, since you're really focused on defense and healing. The d10 doesn't mean much at the cost of a feat if you aren't focusing on damage. Your damage should reliably come from smite evil since our nemesis is evil and undead. Animals, plants, and constructs are a different story, however.

The downside of AC however, is it isn't worth much if you're not attacked.

I'm going to dedicate 8 hours of the day to study, 8 hours to market/recreation/festival, and 8 hours to sleep.

I'll assume I have 16 hours of study to work with.

I'll assume I pass all checks to understand the spells, since I currently have a +31 to spellcraft, and the DC is 15+spell level.

To understand a spell takes 1 hour, and to write it into my spellbook takes 1 hour per spell level. I ignore writing costs due to the awesome Blessed Book, though materials greater than 1gp still cost. Since I am copying from scrolls that disappear afterwards, I will assume that the material component used to make the scroll will transfer over to my book. If I were copying from a spellbook, I'd provide the material cost since the page wouldn't disappear.
