Hmm, there's a map... :) Fionne, they did say over here that the doctor was in the tower.

Speck allows himself to fall a bit further back, pretending to be looking at the structures around. Fionne's word jolt him although he tries to not show, and it is beginning to feel like a trap.

Yes, they were really careful about not letting us wander around on our own earlier. Do they suspect what we're up to already? How would they have known? His mind wanders back to Naarma.

As explained earlier, you have to get past the tower in order to get into the rest of the base. The (unspecified) layout of the base is such that the only way in is past the tower. The tower itself however is isolated from the rest of the base, presumably because it is especially cold, and the noise of the generator is significant.
The guards have indicated that the doctor is currently inside the tower complex.

"The doctor is inside." the guards call back down, obviously thinking you couldn't hear them over the noise of the generator.

Really Aerondor? The map clearly allows you to go around this enclosure, and there's nowhere inside for the Doctor to be hiding. The scaffold is just a metal frame! I get that the adventure is railroading us in, but man if it doesn't make one whit of sense.

Really. Blame the scenario for this write up. Imagine there are big cliffs just outside the map area, so you have to go past it. Not saying that stealth was not an option if you had totally wanted to. But just work with this bit of rail-roading.

Medric is hardly surprised when, after entering the compound, he cannot see the doctor, but does notices the guards all swivel their weapons toward him (and the rest of the group).

Husdon opens up with Bessie on the guard in red. Bang, bang." two bullets go straight into his armor, knocking him around. Medrick also aims at the same person, but the cold seems to have affected his rifle as his aim is way off. Jack shows how it is done though, drilling another bullet into the guard with his hunting rifle.

Whoa, Red's still up after that? These guards are made out of seriously stern stuff.

Fionne swings her weapon around, sending a sonic blast into the air next to the red guard, overcharging her weapon as she does so. She leans over and unlatches T-eddy's safety as well. The malicious little teddy bear sends out his own deadly pulse.

(If red is down, redirect attacks to the circle in the air next to blue. Since the radius is 10ft, the sonic explosion doesn't reach down to Medrick below.)

oopse sorry. Been a bit distracted with the events down in Christchurch, and got their HP wrong. Good call. Red went down after Hudson, so redirecting Medrick's damage to blue

The red soldier topples slowly from the guardrail, while the blue one clutches his ears after the sonic assault.

The other two guards open up with full magazines. The ground around Husdon is riddled with bullets, but with the help of cover from the tower he narrowly avoids serious injury. Fionne is not quite so lucky as a number of bullets slam into her.

Finally, Speck completes his summons and a tiny mass of swirling air appear right in front of the guard stationed on the wall directly in front of him. The air elemental rushes to slam against him.

He looks around to see if there is any door or little building inside.
He looks up at the tower: is it all an open steel frame, no place for someone to be up there?

The tower is indeed a steel frame. The walls of the compound are solid, but the tower within is just a scaffold. Husdon quickly checks out a couple of tin sheds, housing power units and such, but no doctor. The sound of the generators is starting to get on his nerves.
Climbing up to get the coms unit, Hudson hears a "..report. Report dammit. We'll be there in 30 seconds."

If needed to move up to see the incoming Hudson will swing Betsy to the side, to move over to the closest ladder, and climb up to the wall and stand there, getting Betsy back in hand.

Then Hudson will start firing at the incoming flying dragonkin.

Not sure how much time we have left, and I'd say 2 or 3 moves to get in position (?).
If possible, Hudson would take a shot:

Fionne and Teddy make quite a racket, you can even hear it over the sound of the generator which really says something. You just can't hear what it says. Looks like Farvenzi and Spinjack took offence though, as blood drips down their noses.

Kasza takes a cheeky shot, but misses by a mile. Jack gives away his position with a very poor shot. Even flat footed it doesn't penetrate the dragonkins armor.

@Fionne: Fire damage, so knock five off Fionne's total. Farvenzi is just above the walkway, thus about 20' above ground. Spin slightly higher, so you don't have to worry about cover from the wall.

Kasza manages to avoid the flames by ducking down, while Hudson avoids the worst of the blast as well. Husdon's own return fire is deftly avoided by the dragonkin.

Medric fires off a couple of shots, a lucky one drawing some blood.
