As Eselar strikes, Chassarch sees that the microbots actually manage to hinder the mysterious being.
I linked Incorporeal before. Remember that Corporeal spells and effects that do not cause damage have only a 50% chance of affecting an incorporeal creature.

Thus the creature is bothered and not as defensive, which means that both the first strike, which nearly missed, and the second, that seemed better aimed... hit.
I am quite sure you did not count the +2 to hit from Harrying Fire?

Yes! I think this is the scenario that got the most complaints about TPKs and being too harsh etc..
Good thing you rested and such, because if you arrive with all the other debuffs, plus this guy (and, OOC, Starfinder-19 also made his save in the room... and still lost 1 WIS! Good thing you didn't go into several rooms).
To reveal: the rooms deal 1d6 STR or WIS damage (your choice) w. Will save for 1/2. So you can get 3 damage w. a save!

Chassarch remembers what this is, this unique parasitic creature known as a... void hantu.
It is a, normally evil, incorporeal aberration.
It is totally immune to cold, and to radiation, and is a being of gravity, a natural creature of interdimensional gravity, which, as such, is immune to adverse gravitational effects and can move without hindrance due to gravity.

As everybody seems to be blasting away at it mind, the hantu lashes out at Chassarch, swinging its tendrils back and forth to slap him.
The first slap crashes right into the man's face, nearly knocking back... which at least makes the second slap miss.

The entire encounter is strange, because the creature is entirely built around it having reach (its tactics are: The Hantu uses its gravitic pull attack to pull targets closer so it can make attacks of opportunity with its tendrils.
