I'm not sure you can crit without a ghost weapon an incorporeal creature
Correct:
An incorporeal creature is immune to critical hits.
But:
Weapons with the ghost killer fusion can also score critical hits against incorporeal creatures.

So, you made it, rather easily, or at least without that much difficulty, through what is supposed to be the deadliest fight in SFS so far.
It is, according to the boards, the fight that sees the most people abandoning and fleeing, or being wiped out.
And it so happens that the best tool to fight the void hantu is... mind thrust!
Which you had plenty of, so it actually turned out to work well for you.
BRAVO!
GREAT JOB!

Our group was, particular :P
All of us could cast and 3 of us are Mystic (more or less) and 2 technomancer which is quite unusual, we were lucky that all of us had enough INT/WIS to deal with the damages that the creature was doing.

![]() |

Yes!
The creature can choose what stat' to damage: WIS, INT or CHA.
It does 2 damage (1/2 if the Will save) and can spend 1 RP (after it has hit!) to boost.
that to 1d4+1 damage (1/2 if save).
It seems that other than Mind Thrust, all does 1/2 damage, meaning that his 126 HP is kind of doubled! (plus possible misses)
So Mind Thrust does full damage and always hits (even if it makes its Saves).
Fun fact: it is entirely built w. reach, but it "lost" reach during editing.
Because it has:
Gravitic Pull (Su) As a standard action, a void hantu can alter the gravity between itself and a target. The void hantu selects a target within 40 feet; that target must succeed at a Reflex save (DC 17) or be pulled 20 feet closer to the void hantu. This movement provokes attacks of opportunity.
So its tactic would be to fly a bit higher, attract someone up, hit them w. an AoO and then drop them for an extra d6 or 2 of damage.

Man! Even without the gravitic pull and reach, that was a tough fight! I can't imagine a group without some serious magic in the bag going through that. Glad Mind Thrust came in handy at least. Guess I should've spent those last couple rounds undercasting that instead of my feeble attempts to heal people up.

It is a tough fight.
And you did well!
One thing I thought, Desha, as a GM, although I might have done the same as a player, is that you could have seen that your healing did not give enough HP to prevent going under if hit.
Like: giving +7 to raise HP to 9 does not really change things if min’ damage is 12.
So either pump some of your HP into the Cure, or attack.
This is not criticism at all, just thinking after the fact, for future games.
You did well and were victorious, with all conscious!

Yeah I thought the same thing after the fact, but I had already made the choice and didn’t feel like backtracking on it. Haha! I appreciate the constructive feedback though!

So, seeing as we have one person in a hurry, here are your Chronicle sheets.
Since I had no info' (I think) collected by Redelia on your Day Jobs I let you fill that out.
I also put my initials to the left of the Day Job box for those who want/need to put down info' like "counts for Skittermander" etc..
So please fill out that info' for yourself.
I am not at home and am travelling still, so prepared all this a while back to be ready.
But if there are problems I will have to wait a bit (a week max' I think) to correct those mistakes.
But I I hope these sheets, even if incorrect, should be at least enough to get you going to your next adventures.
Here is the ---LINK---

And thanks to all my fellow players for a great game! I'm looking forward to playing with all of you again sometime!

Profession (Gambler): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9 . wow... amazing gambling there Drak…

Thanks, Eric!
It was a pleasure having you almost kill my character (I think)! That was a scary fight.
Lesson learned: get weapon fusions! Ghost killer weapons may be a must.
Carry ways to use lesser restoration (I think it exists?)

![]() |

Thanks all! ))) Was nice!
It is a good idea to put any kind of Fusion on a weapon (even a level 1) just to have a magic weapon for x/magic DRs, and deal 50% dam' vs. incorporeals.
re. Lesser Restoration, it is 700 Cr. for a Spell Ampoule, but it is level 6 so cannot purchase too early on (that's the one for everybody).

Spacefarer Redelia |

I apologize for being unable to finish this adventure with you. I had a major medical situation that included two weeks in the hospital, and a long recovery time at home after that. You found yourself in good hands to finish the adventure. :)
Are you ready for me to mark this campaign as inactive?

![]() |

Happy you are better, Redelia.
You can mark this as inactive, and we all hope you will mark yourself as active again!

![]() |

I'll echo the others' best wishes for your recovery, Redelia! Thanks for dropping in to say hi.
I am also good for this campaign to be marked inactive. :)
