Since Fek has no way to communicate a warning before the next person emerges, give me a Fortitude save (vs. poison) in addition to the Will save. Will save first. Then Fortitude DC 18 (remember you have Bear's Endurance running). If you fail, give me additional saves until you succeed twice or hit 6 total saves, including the first.

Fek presses himself into the gelatinous portal and is sucked slowly into what is a library. The air is thick with burnt fumes, and the shelves are thick with ancient books.

Inky arcane runes stick to Fek's arm as he emerges. He coughs a few times after breathing in the heavy fumes but otherwise seems unharmed.

His sharp eyes notice a hidden panel in the back of the library.

"Them Desimire's is a bunch of prigs, for sure." Milo mutters, at Zarta's comment, though more just a personal observation than words of comfort.

He ponders for a moment, then opens his haversack, and sweeps all nineteen volumes inside.

Glancing back at the others, he only shrugs. "Read worse, and longer."

At this point he notices the others having issues with the gasses, which do not appear to affect him at all.

Is it a one and done type of save, or have to resave every round your in the fumes?

Possible to identify what these fumes are? Craft (alchemy)?: 1d20 + 20 - 5 ⇒ (10) + 20 - 5 = 25

Milo:

The room has no circulation, so the fumes are simply omnipresent. A gust of wind or similar spell could push the fumes away from a particular area for a short period of time. However, you companions seem to have a fair Fortitude.
Based on the mechanics of the necklace of adaptation, you can't even experience the fumes to identify them. For you, it's just light smoke in the air.

Fek's keen eyes identify a secret panel in the corner of the library. He carefully checks the door for traps and finds neither trap nor lock. Confident that is safe to proceed (as confident as Fek ever is), he opens the door to reveal an intricate compass and a complicated brass chronometer.

The group escapes the fumes trapped within the library without any trouble. However, by the time they've entered the museum, several of them have inky runes affixed to various parts of their bodies.

This opulent gallery hosts an esoteric collection of relics, dioramas, and portraits. The prow of a frigate juts from the north wall, a seared section of bridge sits in the southwest, and unmoving figures play out a diabolic sacrifice beneath a twisted tree in the northeast. Along a reproduced battlement to the northwest, a desperate battle between human combatants is frozen in time.

Once Zarta exits through the portal, Rocky, Fek, and Keos hear the sound of distressed soldiers shouting in the distance, the figures under the arch begin to turn their heads toward you, and a growing sense of dread.

Everyone: Will save, please. Leventi's penalties don't apply yet.

Zarta shouts out, "You are Pathfinders! You will not disappoint your venture-captains nor the Ten!" Sadly, this inspiration is too little or too late for most of you.

Suddenly soldiers fill the room. You find yourselves amidst a panicking army of men--young and old, blood stained and burnt--creating chaos about you.

Moments later, a pit fiend appears in the room in a puff of smoke. The pit fined flies toward Rocky with a roar and strikes out with one of his great clawed hands. The claw tears into him. In Rocky's mind, though, the pit fiend has picked him up and is about to bite off his head.

Rocky manages to wrench himself out of the way of the worst of the bite so that they pit fiend's teeth dig into his shoulder rather than removing his head.

Mack prepares his weapons to fight a general of Hell.

Zarta continues to inspire her Pathfinders, even as most of them scatter to the corners of the room and cower.

"Lannavia!" the pit fiend calls to Zarta. "Your honor guard is full of cow--"

Fully committed to the experience, Rocky punches back. After merely three (regular) blows, the pit fiend fades away like mist in the sun and the soldiers disappear. Those of you caught in the haunt's power come to your senses in the corners where you cower, fully aware of the inexplicable fact that you were moments away from turning on your allies and tearing each other limb from limb.

Zarta turns her attention to the doomed warriors under the wall. She appears thoughtful.

Rocky prevented a 50%PK.

Yes, those particular effects ended when Rocky destroyed the haunt. Fortunately before the next round when you all would have become confused and probably trying to kill each other with your bare hands.

The lurid glow of flames within an iron-grated pit illuminates this well-appointed chamber. Ancient scrolls smoldering with Infernal script move with an unseen breeze, and glass cases display statues carved to resemble hellish armor along the southern wall.

“Welcome, my esteemed--" a orange-skinned devil with multiple, long scrolls draped over the large black horns that emerge from his back begins to say as Rocky appears, and then he pauses as Fek appears.

"Wel--" he begins again until interrupted by the next Pathfinder's appearance. He makes a permissive gesture with his hand and waits until all of you have appeared.

"Welcome, my esteemed guests! Please, let us not resort to our baser instincts when we can instead discuss this matter to our mutual benefit. I am a simple broker, and if I have something you desire…” He holds up a glass jar swirling with inky mist and an older Chelish man’s disembodied head peering out. “…I would gladly negotiate its sale.”

Everywhere north of the dashed black line is difficult terrain as contracts float in front of your face continually trying to show off their impressiveness.

The pit can be walked across because of a heavy iron grate.

Feel free to re-position yourselves anywhere to the left, right, or behind Rocky. Any closer and you'll get a warning. Any hostile action will initiate combat.
