Sorry, lost internet unexpectedly after a power surge fried our router last week and I'm just getting back in the swing of things now.

Sigrun nods to Linge and Garran as they clean and heal her up. Once she's back on her feet, she doubles back to the corpse of the wyrm, her eyes searching it over for something to take as a reminder of her mortality. She settles on one of its cruel teeth, prying it out with some effort and popping it in a pocket of her pack where it hopefully will be out of the way.

"Yes, let's go. The Lady and her captors won't be sitting around waiting for us to catch up to them." And back on the march she went.

RoW maps

The group continues on, still able to follow the trail of the bandits they are tracking.

Before they get far, Honsul clears his throat loudly and addresses the group:
What are we doing here? wandering into the woods, fighting dragons? All to save a stranger? This is just more than I can handle. My mother needs me to help run the inn. she already lost one child to this forest, she would never forgive me if I died here and both me and my sister disappeared for good. I wish you all good fortune, but I feel I must return to Heldren.

With that the halfling and his ghostly sister depart, heading back the way you came

Never got a response from Honsul, assuming he is gone. the character is still alive though, so if the player comes back later we can work him back in

The remaining members of the group move further into the Border Wood.

Something in the trees catches your attention. Feathered bundles and strange fetishes hang from low branches in this part of the forest, swaying and shifting in the wind. all of them are stuck through with small pins holding pieces of leather bound around them.

What do you do?

The snow relentlessly pelted Paldo face. He could see that something had caught everyone’s attention. Ducking behind Linge putting her body between himself and the blowing wind, Paldo cleared the ice from his eyes to get a look. Paldo looked at the feathered objects pinned to the trees. Garran stomps his way back toward Glim through the deep snow. "Seems they fear the cold iron a bit." He says. Then he makes his laborious way, on toward Sigrun. Double move.

Just realised I never indicated that Linge picked up her sling from the last fight... Completely forgot to write it down. GM, do we consider that she got it back, or that she forgot it?

Linge's teammates seem to face the situation better than she does, and there is not much she can do. For good measure, she still flashes a ray of pure light right in the face of the nearest sprite.

Cast Flare DC 14 on the Red Sprite

"Horn! Go help Garran!" she commands, seeing that the bear is still flailing uselessly at a flying fey that seems to taunt him.

With a frustrated huff, the cub steps away, and starts trotting through the snow to get closer to another fey.

40 ft speed -holy cow, bears are fast!
Horn will flank the Green sprite to provide Garran with a bonus!

RoW maps

fort save green: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
the green sprite is partially blinded by the flash from Paldo's hand.

Sigrun throws a spear, but just barely misses the sprite.

the three sprites fire arrows again
green v horn: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
blue v sigrun: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
red v linge: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

only Sigrun is hit, and takes 1 pt of damage.
Fortitude Sigrun: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22

Linge, the sprite you targeted with flare has already been dazzled. would you like to target something else, or use a different action? I am fine with assuming that you all will always pick up and weapons you drop during a combat unless you state otherwise for some odd reason.

In that case, I'll shoot the red sprite:

Same action for this round.

Thinking fast, Sigrun decides to try something new. Her Sylvan isn't very good, but if there's a language to use, perhaps that would work, if these are really fey. But then, another tiny arrow strikes her. She blurts out in Sylvan, «Ow, why are you attacking us?!» Though, it's clear that she has no peaceful intent, as she draws another spear and chucks it skyward, only to miss again.

Seeing as the green sprite has come closer to the ground, does Horn have an attack of opportunity, or can he reach it with three attacks for this round?

One of the feys starts to chant strange words in an unknown tongue and out of reflex, Linge covers her eyes. She sees tiny specks of light dancing inside her eyelids, accompanied by a sharp twang of pain, as if her eyeball was briefly pricked by a needle. The druidess winces in pain, blinking to dissipate that unpleasant feeling. When she opens her eyes again, and her vision adjusts to her surroundings, Glim and Garran are both lying unconscious on the ground.

Oh no.

Linge treads through the snow, rushing to Garran's side. The now perfectly unusable cold-iron sword is lying on the ground like a taunt.

"Garran," she calls, kneeling next to the warrior. "Please, wake up!"

She'll try to stir Garran from his unconsciousness. I'll roll a Heal check, but don't know if that is what it would take. Maybe non-lethal damage? :/

Heal: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15

Pretty sure anyone can rouse a sleeping character, no check needed.

Seeing Garran stirred by Linge, Paldo suddenly has a flash of his big lumbering adopted brother being roused from a slumber. Then he remembers a trick him and his brother used to play to grab things that were high or intimidate smaller beings into running away. Paldo mumbles an incantation watching as Garran doubles in size.

Enlarge Person:
This spell causes instant growth of a humanoid creature, doubling its height and multiplying its weight by 8. This increase changes the creature’s size category to the next larger one. The target gains a +2 size bonus to Strength, a -2 size penalty to Dexterity (to a minimum of 1), and a -1 penalty on attack rolls and AC due to its increased size.

A humanoid creature whose size increases to Large has a space of 10 feet and a natural reach of 10 feet. This spell does not change the target’s speed.

If insufficient room is available for the desired growth, the creature attains the maximum possible size and may make a Strength check (using its increased Strength) to burst any enclosures in the process. If it fails, it is constrained without harm by the materials enclosing it–the spell cannot be used to crush a creature by increasing its size.

All equipment worn or carried by a creature is similarly enlarged by the spell. Melee weapons affected by this spell deal more damage (see Table: Medium/Large Weapon Damage). Other magical properties are not affected by this spell. Any enlarged item that leaves an enlarged creature’s possession (including a projectile or thrown weapon) instantly returns to its normal size. This means that thrown and projectile weapons deal their normal damage. Magical properties of enlarged items are not increased by this spell.

In short +2 STR, -2 Dex, -1 Att & AC, Long Sword Damage = 2d6, Reach = 10ft

-4 hp, 6/10

"Ngh...s-s-soo c-cold..." Sigrun can feel her mind and body numbing up as one too many pinpricks find their mark. Not being able to think clearly, she is left to covering up, hoping that her allies can turn the tide.
