Brog strides into the room, but it is too late as noone notices the well-laid trap within. A javelin arcs up and fires from a spring.

The javelin splinters into his armor, creasing in the folds as it punctures into his midsection.
Opening the door to the northeast reveals a section of the tower that was sheared off.

Brog staggers slightly as the javelin finds its mark. Gritting his teeth he pulls the spear out of his mid-section. Blood trickles from between the scales of his armour. He seems to pay it no mind as he looks out into the open air. Don't go through there. Room is gone.

"Uh, OK. You first" Cheswick wonders what the spear would have done to his unprotected, vulnerable, and oh so feeble midsection.
"You think those tracks came from those stinky fellows?"

Ryka moves up to Brog, drawing a wand from her robes.

Jimmothy shrugs and throws open the northeastern door.
"Golly! What do you suppose is in here, Mr. Saunterlane?"

Judging from the shelves lining the walls, this darkened room might once have been a storeroom, though its contents have long since succumbed to the passage of time. A crack in the northern wall has apparently let in some rainwater, which has collected in a large puddle on the floor.
In the middle of the room, blinking it's eyes from the light that's getting into the room all of a sudden is a dog-sized lizard has two horns, one on either side of its head, and green scales that crackle with sparks of lightning. It eagerly approaches with it's mouth open.
What do you do?

"MMMMM...yum, yums!" calls out Kam as he grabs one of the Troglodyte bodies and starts to drag it to the door.

He turns back to the lizards.
"Hey guys, what are you called? I'm Jimmothy. Is this your home? It's really neat. You even have running water." he pulls out a bit of his trail rations and offers them a bite.

Cheswick blinks a few times and then backpedals, partly because of lighting beast, and partly because moving the trog body cuases a new wave of stench to waft from the area.
"Feeding the wildlife again? That worked out SOOOooo well last time. And that is not what I would call a 5-star meal. I mean, why not just feed it poison?"
Though he meant the last part as poison, he realizes that it could be taken literally.
"Not that I'm suggesting you kill the pup. I didn't actually mean poison it. Unless it tries to kill us. That never builds trust."

Kam and Jimmothy try to feed and coax the Shocker Lizard as Kam instantly recognizes it. With a soothing voice Jimmothy speaks to it, though the lizard is unable to respond of understand. Instead the lizard sends a small jolt through Jimmothy's hand.
Shock: 1d8 ⇒ 8 DC 12 Reflex for half.
Jimmothy: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22

Since the door is closed and no one can do anything, Kam explains..."I was just going to see if it wanted something big to eat so we could explore the room while it did. Since it was locked-up, I assumed it wouldn't be too picky about it's meal."

"Weeelll, it didn't bite anyone. Nothing happened until Jimmy stuck his hand in it's face. Maybe it would leave us alone if we left it alone. And we ARE supposed to explore this place. I'm sure the VC would be just DELIGHTED if his team bypassed every room with a little danger in it. Lets try to go in but give it a wide berth."

Brog steps in and tries to take charge. Make a clear path from the door. Give it no target. I will open the door and we can draw it out.
Brog then moves to where he can stand behind the door if it is opened.

Brog moves near the door and opens it once more as the group sets up to deal with the over friendly and excitable animal. Opening the door it looks just as excited for visitors and waddles in the middle of the room, spinning in circles.

Kam moves into the room, raises his left hand, points at the lizard, the heat surrounding his body flaring into a brilliant ball of flame which consolidates around his hand and springs forth....

Jimmothy leaves the others to their fate as he opens the northern door to the room recently explored by Brog after he was shafted by the spear. The room is still devoid of anything useful and is in shambles as the recent earthquake sheared this portion of the tower off.
Cheswick watches as Kam lights the lizard up and Brog smashes the happy to see visitors with his flail. You monsters! :) M pulls out a small watch and begins to swing it from side to side in small soothing motions, allowing Ryka to get into position.
The little lizard, confused and angered sends a jolt into Brog.

Jimmothy encountering a time space anomaly what with the door he opened opening on the space he is currently standing in scratches his head in hopes that a similarly dressed kid in the space he is looking into does likewise. Then he turns to hopefully see another doppelganger of himself standing behind him. Then Jimmothy considers that that kid is probably turning to look behind himself at yet another version of Jimmothy too so maybe that won't work. Hmm. This might take a minute.

Ha! @Jimmothy- The room you are currently in is in shambles and has nothing useful in it. It simply looks out over the lansdcape as it is open to the elements. It is part of the rubble below that the dogs were running over. Otherwise the door is now also open to the room with the lizard as well from your angle.

Kam concentrates, the room grows warmer for a second or two, then a bright light flares in front of the Lizard. Kam then moves out of the room.

This cantrip creates a burst of light. If you cause the light to burst in front of a single creature, that creature is dazzled for 1 minute unless it makes a successful Fortitude save. Sightless creatures, as well as creatures already dazzled, are not affected by flare.
Not sure how to calculate the DC for this. AofN and HeroLab does not state. If it is standard 10 + spell level + Stat bonus (Kineticists are CON based) then the DC=13 Fortitude. Please advise. Sorry for the trouble.

Ryka slaps the lizard on the broadside, attempting to knock the wind out of it.

Ryka swats the lizard across the side of it's head with the flat end of her blade. The lizard groans as it tips to it's side, completely unconscious.
With a moment to look around, this room proves to be little more than a flooded mess as the running water seems to have destroyed anything that might have once been useful.

Kam only has 13 STR. If that is enough, he will quickly bring the lizard downstairs to where we entered. If not, he will ask for help and then follow up to the next level.

Kam takes a moment and heaves the giant lizard up onto his shoulder. Slowly making his way down the stairs he sets the snoring and badly beaten lizard down on the main level near the webs.
Meeting back up on the second floor the group decides to head up to the third level. Cheswick finds the door to this level locked. Disable device to open or move up to the 4th floor?
