Damn, I forgot that Pages of Spell Knowledge are not CORE.
Purchases:
750 Wand of Burning Hands
150 Scroll of Invisibility
150 Scroll of Resist Energy
150 Scroll of Acid Arrow
150 Scroll of Flaming Sphere
048 Leftover
Yup, the scrolls will have non-guaranteed activation succeed, even possible mishaps, but Telos is arrogant at heart.
The scrolls are what he studies in the corner table at the tavern.

Everything still looks right to me (and hey, Telos levels up after this!)
GM Tealk

Remember, that modules give out 3 EXP for completion. So you will be levelling up every module! :)

Will get new equipment later. What I want next is a tad more expensive than the money I have.

"DUDE! Watch were you are swinging that thing, this is the Discussion lounge! I was just in here with my fake beard off having a smoke and the next thing I know you come in swinging a-! Say! What do you swing anyway? Anyhow all the action is next door! Now git! You nearly cost me 5 years just then."
"Geesh, this padded suit is so hot to stand around in. How do LARPers do it?"

Just to be clear, was the 1398 the sum on our chronicle sheets or an amount used to buy temporary gear in-scenario?
Clarifying, because if I should instead combine it with my prior wealth, I might make a different purchase.
GM Tealk
|
Feel free to change things if you need, but 1398 gp was your reward for completing module one.

Gotcha, in that case, scratch everything above. Purchasing a Ring of Protection+1 and saving the rest. Updating character sheet with new AC

Leveled up, character sheet updated.

Cool stuff guys. I will be sending though the chronicle sheets over the weekend, so look out for those. I’ll also be starting the next module in a couple of day too. Woo!

Okay I leveled up. I took a level of wizard. Character sheet updated.
headed for arcane trickster or just a nice complementary dip?

Excellent. Excited to continue this. It's pretty good so far!

{quote}arcane trickster{/quote}
Dunno. The plan was just to have rogue/wizard. Didn't take it much beyond that. Although I kind of wish he was non-CORE so I could have Vanish. My magus loved that until he got mirror image. And then he got one-shotted from full health to dead-dead at 7th level. The dice really hated me that adventure.

Small update. I have finished putting the game on paizo forums, so you should all have credit. I have also finished sending out the chronicles to your emails. Please let me know if I made any mistakes anywhere, or if you did not receive the emails.
This game was part of putting me over the edge into my fourth GM-ing star! So thank you everyone!
Another side note, i am concidering starting up a Return of the Runelords game bpb to help out a friend. Please do not worry, I have plenty of time to run both, and I will always keep you guys are the priority.

How much does that one spoil Rise? I'm in a game of that one now.
Pietro Slaszval the Boisterous

Return is the third part of a trilogy of APs (Rise of the Runelords, Shattered Star, and Return of the Runelords). Shattered Star touches on most of the APs that go before it (it is the 5-Years of Adventure Paths Retrospective & Dungeon-Intensive AP). Return does a bit of the same, as it is the 10th Anniversary AP, but specifically deals with everything Runelord related (it touches on a lot of the previous two Rune-centric APs mentioned above, revisits some locations, characters, deals with all the known lore and previous appearances of the Runelords and their magic and tech including some deep cuts into Pathfinder Tales novels, and old modules like Seven Swords of Sin, you get to meet several current, former, and late Runelords, etc.... So yeah, spoilers. ;)
As a side note, all three APs are set roughly five years apart in their shared timeline and advance one another's stories. So events in Rise get mentioned in later stories, and so on.
Telos Downshot
|
Oh! Good to know. I didn't know Shattered Star was related. I just picked up a copy today in the humble bundle, now I need to resist reading it :)

so you can play them out of order? And what level ranges are they?
Are you looking core or standard?
In order: You can play anything out of order, though if it is a piece for a string quartet I can't garuntee the results. They are meant to be played with different parties so it shouldn't matter any more than I explained above. Level 1 to between 17 to near 20 each, as is typical for an AP. Personally, I was lookin' good. ;)
Pietro Slaszval the Boisterous
|
confused. PFS only goes up to 12, right? so how does the higher stuff work?
PFS scenarios usually only go up to 12ish (there are exceptions, I believe). The Pathfinder RPG goes up to 20. Only some of the APs can be played for PFS credit.

So i have a problem, because everyone waits for Telos to take his action before everyone else can make theirs because of Burning Hands. So, i will change people's positions, accordingly...how do you think we can avoid this in the future?
Well, there's a more formalized block initiative, where only the bold may act!

If someone acts I unbold them. Then after all the PCs in bold, and the NPCs, take their turns, I'll bold the next PC block in the initiative order and they can take their turns (example 2).

When the following round (round 2 in this case) begins I either keep the same pattern as above (quicker PCs, NPCs, slower PCs) or start lumping groups together where viable (Example 3) so that the rounds can proceed quicker. In this case PC 5's and 6's actions are counted as already taken (because they just did), and everyone else in the round gets to go. When round 3 begins all the PCs start bold in one block and play proceeds from there.

You can do this because technically initiative is a rotating chain of turns. The only thing you have to keep track of are distinctly timed events like spell and effect durations (like inspire courage). Usually, I will include a note about those effects and when they began in with my initiative block posts along with other group effects like bless just to remind people that the buff exists (see example 3).
The video game battle music is of course optional. ;)
EDIT Who am I kidding? No, it's not.
(The links are different. The Persona series has some of the best battle music).

GGG the battle music is why I try to jump in most of your games. If I have characters available of course.

If you have a level 7-11 CORE character available then do I have the Outpost II game for you!

You are taking cover penalties because there is an ally between you and the monster.

@GGG, thank you for that example. I have read it and taken it on board. I want to reply in more detail later when I have time. But thank you for explaining this all to me, I guess I never realised how difficult it could be with area affects. And thanks for the battle music tip, that will add me some flavour in my later adventure!
Also, I welcome all critiques on how I am going. I only wish to make this fun for everyone, and learn!

Hey team, just checking in with everyone. I know we are all super busy with Outpost II things - but how’s everyone looking on the busy radar? I’m happy with slowing down the pace untill everyone is caught up or what not.
Just let me know what’s up. Would you like me to push you guys along in the most natural progression just to...push us along? Or wait for your decisions.

This is the only game I'm in right now (though I intend to fix that), so any delay in posting on my part is just because I'm lazy.. err.. absent minded... err... super busy in real life? Yeah, that's the ticket. Super busy in real life. :P It has nothing to do with PokemonGo. :)
Any speed (slower/same/faster/etc) is OK with me as long as you have no issues botting me if I'm not keeping up. You're doing fantastic, IMHO!
Roran Garrowson

I'll try to keep up as best as I can. I am GMing in the special, and two 7-11 games in PBP right now. And in many games. This weekend is a local con where I am running 6 out of 9, which one is another special.

You mean Pathfinder 2?
Also, quick point, some of us are probably going to need some additional XP to be in-tier for the either the next level or the one after that.
