Makon Grimug
|
Makon pushes his way up through his comrades and readies an action to strike the first ghoul that pokes it's head in the hallway he's standing
Note if Makon's readied action "goes off"; his place in the initiative order will drop to right before the creature that triggered the readied action.

Noke Tiiz

Noke continues to cackle to uphold the fortune hex that she has on all of the team.
Please do not forget that you get to choose to roll twice on a single roll if you remain withing 30 ft. of Noke.

@ Noke: you can still move up with the group as you maintain cackling to keep us within the 30' range

Makon *snorts*...stupid stinky undead..Makon will cut you all down! He moves through his ally Noke and advances on the blue ghoul taking a swing with his great axe G Axe: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8dmg: 1d12 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 Alas, his swing is awkward as he slips on something warm and slick, throwing his axe head wide of it's target.

Ridley drops the last ghoul with his bomb.
Combat Over
This fifteen-by-fifteen-foot room is constructed entirely of the same smooth-white material seen on the sphere outside. A single white pillar stretches floor-to-ceiling in the center of the room, and in a niche rests a smooth, white, hand-sized square covered in glyphs and runes similar to those on the complex’s front door.
Quintus de Saavedra
|
Quintus taps himself with his heightened awareness wand and examines the object for signs of traps.
Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20
He then mutters a simple detect magic cantrip and has a look over the area.
Knowwledge if relevant, they are all the same: 1d20 + 6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 6 + 2 + 2 = 17

Ridley Zane
|
Well what have we here! What is this thing?
spellcraft: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (14) + 14 = 28
Yahtzee!
Aha! You've jogged my memory Quintus! Something is missing here! We need to find the missing square and then this column should do... something? Not sure what...
Makon Grimug
|
Makon looks around in wonder, you guys know much more about this stuff than I do.. mutters the big half orc a bit sullenly.
Noke Tiiz
|
Noke smiles at Makon.
”Don’t worry as Ridley really is an expert in his field! Maybe we should try to detect magic and find out what else is here that does not seem as it is!“
kn arcana, detect magic : 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17
| GM Ietsuna |
Soooo.... you are here, in this cave and you found a white square "device" and not much else. What-cha-gunnado?
Noke Tiiz
|
Noke takes the smooth, white, hand-sized square covered in glyphs and tries to check out what it does.
So if kn arcana was not good then maybe on engineering?
Knowledge engineering : 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Quintus de Saavedra
|
Quintus has a good look around the column, looking for a spot where the strange metal device might slot into or if it has any hidden compartments.
Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18
| GM Ietsuna |
Noke puzzles over the square device as Quintus examines the pillar. Neither finds anything.
The sounds of chaos and preparations for battle float to you through the complex.
Noke Tiiz
|
Noke gives up.
”No time to ponder further. Let us help out companions outside! I will use Chaldira’s power again to bend chance! Stay near me!!“ she says and starts to use her fortune hex on each of the group while wildly starting to cackle.
All should be affected by the fortune hex.
Noke would start to get back out on Happu. Divune, her horned lizard familiar casts guidance on her.
| GM Ietsuna |
Who has the "device" right now and are you taking it with you? We also have 1 vote for heading back outside, who else is going that way?
Noke Tiiz
|
Noke gives the device to someone else.
I am at the limit of my carrying capacity. ;-)
Quintus de Saavedra
|
I need my hands free says Quintus, But one of you should take it just in case we need it. Maybe one of these researchers will know what it does.
With that he casts another gravity bow spell and activates his animal focus again.
Makon Grimug
|
Makon grabs the device and says , I’ll take the stupid thing! grimacing and cursing Makon takes a moment to stuff it in his pack and then follows the others outside to join the battle.
| GM Ietsuna |
As you emerge from the Azlanti complex, you step into chaos. All along the palisade wall, Pathfinders and camp workers are trying desperately to hold off the horde of charau-ka outside the walls. Wave after wave of rocks, sticks, and even the camp’s own garbage are flying over the walls at regular intervals. Somewhere back in the jungle, that same deafening roar echoes across at the valley.
You take in the scene for a moment before a massive boulder smashes into the palisade Refer the broken section on the map.
Noke Tiiz
|
”Oh no! This is horrible! Take out your ranged weapons and start to attack back with the fortune of Chaldira assisting us!“
I assume that we are all outside and that we have our ranged weapons with us so that we can start to attack! Are we going into initiative GM?
Quintus de Saavedra

Quintus looks around for the lead researcher we met when we arrived.
Perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32

Wasn't that statue made out of a similar material? Maybe they go together somehow... Makon! Gimme that thing!
Ridley will take the item they found and rush over to the statue, looking for some way to get them to interact.
Makon Grimug
|
Makon obediently hands the object to Ridley
| GM Ietsuna |
Quintus sees Dias up on the palisade, defending the camp.
Ridley cannot find a slot or anything on the statue that would allow the square device to to placed.
Just as you emerge from the door, a large rock smashes a hole in the palisade wall, and moments later a hoard of screeching, chattering ape-men plunge through it and flood the camp. In the distance, their horrible champion—a four-armed gorilla, fifteen feet tall and causing the ground to shake with each step, intelligently scans his troops and roars at them, causing the ape-men to devolve into a frenzy.

since there was no gap in time between last adventure and this one are we assumed to still possess equipment from the last one? Because, I retrieved a bow in the last adventure. If there was a gap and I couldn’t carry over equipment, I would be perfectly fine with having purchased a bow. Either way I’d like to fire a bow this round if I had to purchase a bow it’s going to be a MW +3 str. Compound bow. If I’m just carrying the old bow it’s a regular longbow: fire bow at random ape dude: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21 dmg: 1d8 ⇒ 6 add +1 to hit and +3 dmg if I had a chance to buy a bow
| GM Ietsuna |
You raise an interesting point Makon. Keep the bow. You literally had no time between the scenarios and it makes no sense for you to have lost it between books. I'll have you plug Red since it is closest.
Both of Quintus' shots land on the Chieftain burying deeply into his furred flesh.
Makon fires an arrow at the Chieftain also and that arrow strikes true.
