Taliesin's Way of the Wicked
Game Master
Merddyn
The Kingdom of Talingarde is the most noble, virtuous, peaceful nation in the known world. This is the story of how you burned this insipid paradise to the ground. It’s only fair. They burned you first. They condemned you for your wicked deeds. They branded you. They shipped you to the worst prison in the kingdom. You were supposed to die there. Instead you escaped. Now it's time for your revenge.

Do we wait for our turn to roll knowledge checks?
No, you can make them now. Although I'm about to post for snakes so it'll be your turn soon anyway.

So, what's up with the extra 2 Acrobatics checks? Isn't it just one check at a higher DC to go through their space?

Ah, I see we are both wrong. One per foe, so two total. The second one passes. My mistake. I'll edit my post.

I know the DR in this encounter is a pain, but don't forget under the Feat Tax rules we're using, anyone with a BAB of 1 or higher may use power attack, deadly aim or combat expertise without using a feat to unlock it.
It may not be worth the penalty to hit for you, but the option is there.

Thanks for the reminder Silarsha! Extra damage, especially when you might not damage anyway, seems worth it here!

If any line from this corner to any corner of the target’s square passes through a square or border that blocks line of effect or provides cover, or through a square occupied by a creature, the target has cover (+4 to AC). This includes allies, giving them soft cover. So you can fire into melee without soft cover, but it is hard to do. Your last attack had soft cover, you still hit though. GM just a reminder, Silarsha is using the Circlet to change her physical appearance to a shorter, thinner, dark haired, darker skinned woman.
She's still armed/ armored, but doesn't look like an escaped Ulfen barbarian. (Exact description was posted back on page 8)

I think letting Sir Balin have a couple of rounds with the draugr would be best. Once the fight is just about complete, I'd imagine we would then leap upon the winning side.
Unrelated, GM, what would it take to have my two teddy bears function as saps?

Let me look into it. It'll definitely be a craft type thing, but I've got to go over some comparison's before I can give a definitive answer.

Diving in on Balin wth the last draugr seems to align with what I had in mind (per my above post). Anyone opposed to this?
GM, we saw that slashing damage was quite effective against the Draugr, correct?
Yep, that combined with Heverly's knowledge and what she shared, you easily know that.
I realize it is the weekend, I will give Heverly till Monday morning, then I'm just going to bot her for now. I am also going to try to contact her via email

GM: To speed things along, and to make narrating the combats easier, would you consider listing target AC for the enemies we fight?
I've seen it done in other games, and it seems to help when you know if you hit or not.
I think I'm alright with that in some instances. I'm undecided on others. For now I'll do it in cases where it should be a fairly easy battle (such as the remaining Draugr).

Due to some changes in schedule and habits, I'm going to have to withdraw from this game. I'm just not on this site as often as I used to be. On the bright side, I'm spending more time on my second book.
I was just getting into the party dynamic, but there's no way I can maintain a Pathfinder character with how rarely I'm on a desktop computer with open internet access. I'm also sorry this has come so suddenly, and after a long gap in contact.

The next set of posts will be a little more loose in format. It's essentially a three month training montage. You guys have some time to do some crafting or retraining or whatever, though not the whole three months, because training will take up a lot of your time. Throw out a couple scenes to describe your three months and I'll throw out a few to describe your time with Thorn and Tiadora. The white Ravens are gone by this point, no amount of asking will reveal where they went or why. I'll start working on the posts this weekend. In addition you will all get another trait, assigned by me (to represent Thorn's individual training). I have some idea of what might benefit you, but if you have a specific request for something you'd like to be better at, feel free to let me know.
Finally, durring this time you level up to level three.
Edit: We will definitely miss you, but as a writer myself, I can say more time for your book is a great thing. Good luck and have fun.
Now, while kineticist is psudoarcane, it would seem to me that you may want someone moreso skilled in that way. What do you all think of that? Would you rather try as is? Now is probably the best time to introduce a new character should we choose that route.

Yay level up! :D EDIT: I will make the changes today. Changes made!
Traits: Dealer's choice!
Is Grumblejack still around? Is there a way for him to be useful to our organization, or would it be better if he left? No problem if it would be better if he left, but that will impact my montage either way!
I'd like to have an arcane caster in the party! While not super important at this level (at least IME), the higher we go, the more important they are (again, at least IME).
GM, would we be looking to recruit a 5th, or rebuild a current character? I like being a rogue, but if a sneaky caster is what we need, I'm not opposed to that if the group prefers 4 people to 5. If we recruit a 5th, I'd prefer if they invested in Bluff/Disguise to fit with the group. Deceit is something this party has invested in and seems to be a method we are all enjoying!

I'm sorry that you're dropping out Wocket.
It was fun so far, and I was looking forward to more.
With that said, real life trumps games, so have fun, and all the best for you going forward!
GM, no worries, I think we all have times like that.
I think a 5th full arcane caster is a good idea, as they cover a gap that the rest of us can't fill. I'll go along with everyone else's decision, but I'm in favor of the extra body.
Edit to add, I'll level her up in the next few days, work is going into mid-year evaluations, and I've got 10 due this week.
Not sure how much "fun" typing I'll have time for, but I'll try to jump in asap.
