As everybody else begins heading south, a goblin bursts out of a secret passageway in the wall and attacks Avi.

Victor manages to get the door open to the room before the goblin attacks. Here's the first one where the room description actually has some meat to it.

From this curving room, doors lead north and south, and a passage leads west. A small table with four rickety chairs sits in the middle of the room. A pair of dice lies on the table amid cups and plates. On this table lies a sleeping goblin with so much food stuffed in its ears, it probably couldn't hear the general alarm get raised as you attacked the front. It remains asleep as the door opens.

Although he hears the sounds of battle behind him, he also hears conversation that suggests his allies have garnered a victory so Ylosani presses on.

The irregular flooring means he has to keep picking his way forward instead of moving at his usual pace. A shame, in this situation. If he could have arrived a little faster, he could have ended the life of this goblin before it even knew they were there. As it is, he readies himself to strike, just in case Victor's blow is not enough to end the creature.

Yup. Ji, as expected, nails the goblin in the head and it drops unconscious.

Victor slays the sleeping goblin, narrowly managing to avoid colliding with it's armor (you needed exactly 10).

FINALLY, for the first time in a while, initiative is over.

What do you all do as the castle falls nearly silent. There is still the occasional goblin murmur and the sound of small feet scuttling, but nothing else is actively trying to kill you.

After watching the goblin slump to the ground, Avi nods at Ji and thanks him. He then eyes the place that the goblin popped out of curiously and approaches it.

A secret passage!

He enters it carefully, halfway expecting to find the source of some of the distant goblin murmurs. After a few steps in, he casts Light on himself and then proceeds a little more quickly through the tunnel.

When he opens the door at the other end, he sees the rest of the group who had previously moved ahead, in an anti-climactic (but receiving and safe) conclusion.

Oh, here you all are! Any prep we want to do before Victor opens that door? he says, with his crossbow held up in one of his hands.

Victor opens the door after the party gathers together. Two tables with benches lie scattered around this mess hall. Decaying food of an indescribable nature sits on the tables. At the eastern end of the chamber, doors exit to the north and the south.

In this room, two goblins argue loudly.

One says to the other: "It's mine! Grulk gave it to me! You no touch it!" It pulls the back half (Where the front half is is unknown) of a small dog towards its part of the table.

"Grulk say SHARE!" says the other as it pulls the dog back.

"No. Grulk say mine"

"SHARE!"

"MINE!"

"NO! SHARE!"

This curving room is a good-sized kitchen, complete with decaying tables, cupboards, and bins. One newer table has what seems like a child's laboratory set up, with broken cups standing in for beakers. The room is inhabited by a goblin and a strange green creature with whirring gears, a clawed humanoid left arm, and a surprisingly well made horsechopper it seems to not be terribly proficient with. Both the goblin and the strange creature seem hostile.
