Welcome to our discussion. All out of character (ooc) discussions, questions, etc will go here. All gameplay will go in our game thread. All game maps and handouts will be handled via links to a page at Roll20.net.

You'll be expected to check in on the forum(s) once daily. If you won't be able to check in for a few days (hey, life happens!) be sure to do a quick check in to let us know you'll be away and for how long and if someone can make decisions for your character in your absence.

Please take a moment to introduce yourself to the group. List your name and your experience playing pathfinder and other role playing games.

Below is a list of modules I have available and what starting character level you would need to create. Please let us discuss which would be the best for each of us and come to a decision on what we would like to play.

The Harrowing - A tale of high fantasy on a demiplane - Lvl 9
Plunder and Peril - A pirate themed adventure, includes firearms - Lvl 4
Into the Haunted Forest - Just what it sounds like - Lvl 1
Entombed with the Pharaohs - Dungeons and Mummies - Lvl 6
Dawn of the Scarlet Sun - Urban Murder Mystery (very short) - Lvl 5
Master of the Fallen Fortress - Dungeon Crawl - Lvl 1
Daughter of Fury - Orcs and Demons - Lvl 3
The House on Hook Street - Occult Mystery - Lvl 6
Ire of the Storm - Jungle Themed Action Crawl with some Mystery - Lvl 1

My picks are The Harrowing, Plunder and Peril and Ire of the Storm but I'll happily GM any of them.

I’m all for pirates but with Halloween coming up the Haunted Forest sounds fun too!

Hi all.

Joey here, been gaming since the early 80's starting with Advanced D&D.

Have become very enamored with Pathfinder and have run a bit of the last several years but my group kept losing people.

Have ran games for D&D (Advanced, 2nd and 3/3.5), Marvel Super Heroes and DC Heroes, and Chill.

Entombed appeals to me just because I like Egyptian motif, but I do agree that Haunted Forrest might be fun with the season.

Hi, I'm Angel
I've been playing various systems since High school in the 90s (mostly 3.5e) off an on. Curently I'm in a pathfinder, starfinder, star wars, and 5e game that cycle schedules.

My choices would be The Harrowing or Ire of the Storm, but I think the Haunted Forest could be fun too!

Hi, I'm Tim.

I started gaming with 3.5 back in 2003, and have done 3.5 and Pathfinder, as well as one extremely disastrous foray into 4e and a few dabbles into AD&D.

I'm down for anything, but would prefer to avoid pirates due to being attacked by a rabid pirate as a child and the attendant trrrrrrrauma.

Hi there all. I'm Michael and I am terminally late. I've played various games since the early 80s. All versions of D&D up to 3.5, Traveller,Gamma World, and have dabled in a variety of other games such as Call of Cthlhu.

I have always preferred to start characters at lower levels (ideally 1st) so I can learn who they are while I play them. My choice then is either The Haunted Forrest or Daughter of Fury.

okay guys sounds like haunted forest it is. decide your party composition and roll me up!

All paizo sources other than mythic are okay. Use random roll or standard point buy. Any questions, ask.

Ok folks, my goto character is a half elf ranger, but I have a Dwarven wizard already rolled up waiting for a game to try him out in.

Aaaay I was thinking of doing a dwarf too! Class undermined at the moment, but I am open to anything that helps. We could always be a diplomatic envoy or something of the like!

I tend to prefer random roll because flavor and fun, but I can do point buy too. I'll go with whatever everyone else wants.

Male, Gay Human (we think) Barbarian 1, Bard 2, Druid 3, Shifter 2, Vigilante 1

I am thinking of doing a goblin cleric of Sarenrae (based of an NPC i use in my game).

Angel:if you want to do a Dwarf, go for it. I'm fine with sticking with my ranger.

Male, Gay Human (we think) Barbarian 1, Bard 2, Druid 3, Shifter 2, Vigilante 1

Although there is a concept for a human Brawler I have been toying with also. Any thoughts?

Grand Lodge

I'm fine with Goblin as a character race but without being too spoilery it could be weird for this module......

Sorry, didn't mean for it to sound like I was trying to chase you off of playing a dwarf too! For reference I am 100% ok with having the same class and/or race as others in the party if they are.

I took it as you intended. No offense percieved. I've never played a Dwarf before, and frankly was a little intimidated that someone who knows how to play one would have to endure me doing it all wrong. Also, how equipped would a Dwarf be in a woodland situation?

On the flip side, you could give me a lot of good pointers on how best to play a Dwarf.

That's cool, exactly the feedback I wanted.

If the human brawler sounds good, I will go with it.

This will be my first time Pathfindering on this side of the GM's Screen, so I am a bit like a kid in a candystore...

I've actually never dwarf-ed before either! Like literally everything I would know about dwarf-ing I would steal from Reggie, who played an AWESOME dwarf in a short lived campaign I ran some years ago.

Also I don't think there's and "wrong" way to play a character or race! I'm a big fan of playing characters outside their race's comfortable norms. Even (and sometimes especially) when that means bad stats.
Within reason, of course.

Grand Lodge

How far along is everyone with their Character Creation? :-)

When I think about how to play him, he seems more hobbitish than dwarven. I keep picturing him as being the life of the party in a tavern. I also see him as having a cozy as side home where he works o. Creating scrolls and potions.

You might like my goblin cleric NPC. He is a literate outcast of goblin society. He follows Sarenrae because of her teachings of redemption.

Odd. My response did not come up with the last reply.

I am nearly done, wanted to ask though, are we allowed to use traits and if so how many of what type?

Looks like the start of a great character, right there!

Niiiiice! That sounds like a fun npc.

Reggie,
I'm still in the planning stages but I'm going to try to finish making her tonight.

What classes has anyone settled on so far?

Grand Lodge

A literate goblin outcast is pretty cool sounding did that character drop some points in linguistics did they write too!??

Grand Lodge

TRAITS! Good question let’s go with one trait.

He does.

Self taught basic reading from a child's primer on Sarenrae. Finally left his tribe after saving a travelling cleric of Sarenrae from an ambush by his kin.
The cleric took him in and schooled him and trained him in the ways of the Goddess.
He is a firm believer in redemption but also understands that sometime the fires of retribution are required.
After the death of his mentor, he took up adventuring, both to spread the glory of Sarenrae and to seek out other outcasts like himself and help them to ignite their own inner fire.

Cool.

I can play whatever the group needs. I'm trying to follow the thread, but I'm not sure what we currently have.

I Will be playing a dwarven wizard. He was created at level five to be added to another game, but that never happened.I just have to reduce him down to 1st level and will submit. (Once I figure out how to do that.)

Dwarf, undecided. Either Ranger or Bard I think?

Grand Lodge

mmmm a dwarven ranger named walker????

Is he from Texas?

Human Slayer

OR

Elf Cleric.

Whichever we determine we need more. (Would prefer slayer, but I normally play healer, so either is fine. :P )

Also, because I can’t follow directions, I’m Eric. I’ve played a Pathfinder campaign as a halfling bard and managed to be to only adventurer to avoid death. I’m still very new to DnD in general but I try to research as much as possible so I can make best use of my characters mechanics :-)

I can go Bard and focus on healing and buffs, that should free you up to play the slayer!

also i think gordon is going to go cleric he will hopefully be joining us to learn pathfinder
