A beam of un-light? xD so enervation is like a mini-wormhole?
Dioneo, satisfied that the saying "everything is possible with a fireball" stays true, steps closer to the giant and paralyzed bard and touches him as a green light envelops him.
Casting "Protection from evil" on Hassam, he should be able to reroll with a +2 moral bonus.

GM Cwethan |

I'm afraid that while Hold Person has the compulsion keyword, it doesn't exercise control over the target, so PfE wouldn't do more than give its resistance bonuses for future saves. Feel free to adjust your actions.
And yeah, the Nabasu took turns with the Mass Hold Persons

Oh thanks for the clarification! I'll change my action, then. Thank you!

@GM, out of curiosity, many of the specials that I've GM-ed/played have had some sort of mechanism to help resource limited PCs like wizards keep pace with the rest of the party. Is there nothing like that in this one? I can't really imagine what a low-level caster would be doing in this, especially if they hadn't picked up a wand of Magic Missile or similar. And no worries if you can't answer the question at this point. Just curious.

GM Cwethan |

Pretty much just the resources and things you got towards the beginning. But the good news is that we're drawing near to the end!
I'll assume you guys aren't spending more than three rounds between fights, so haste and prayer still have some time on the clock!(conveniently, the cast time of a restoration is three rounds if someone's inclined)
You and the other Pathfinders pour through the broken gate into a sanctum teeming with fiends. In two towers that flank the large room, lesser demons furiously work levers and cranks to load ballistae of Abyssal steel and demon sinew to fire wicked bolts upon the charging Pathfinders. Atop a tall platform stands a demon much larger than any other, chanting and weaving dark energies to open what looks like an extradimensional portal. The Venture-Captains and other luminaries will have to deal with her - you have plenty of captains and lieutenants of the Abyss to dispatch!
Before you you see a twisted cross between a man and a gigantic vulture capering atop the high platform, trailing spores and feathers as it goes. In front of the frenetic bird-beast is a shadowy bat-winged creature. As Ralph appears in its sight, pistol still shining with fierce light, the shadowy demon flees! It streams forth from the platform, splashing against and into a pillar to hide from the cursed light!

Undiana is quite caught up on his demonology, and is able to spout off all sorts of useful tidbits about Shadow Demons and Vrocks.
Shadow Demons are incorporeal hunters who love to bring down their prey on the Pounce; In addition to the normal demonic immunties to poison and electricity, shadow demons also fear nothing from the touch of the cold, and they are also resistant to fire, acid, and most Spells. As long as they aren't in bright light, they are able to blend into the shadows and become invisible, but within areas of bright light they are all but helpless, unable to attack! This weakness is somewhat mitigated when they use their magic to possess mortals, but even hidden away from the sun, some spells sunbeam, sunburst will drive them out of their hosts!
Vrocks have the normal demonic resistances and immunities. Poison and electricty don't do anything; fire, acid, cold, and most spells can be resisted as well. If you get in too close the strange spores that scatter from its feathers will plant inside you and grow, quite painfully, through your skin, their shriek carries such blasphemous force that it can Stun people who are too close, and the dance that it appears to be partway through completing will release a tremendous wave of electricity!

Sorry guys, no 3rd level spell left -_-
Dioneo sees the darkness take hold once again and sighs, his powers fading for the day.
Never happened to me. I might need something to help me with that... he thinks.
He goes up the steps and penetrates into the room.
Double move

As Angel finishes shredding the Vrock, toppling it from the platform, Hassam seizes the moment and impales the Shadow Demon before it can work any foul mischief!
A small flock of Nabasu begin to disengage to assail you, but it doesn't look like they'll make it before you're able to disrupt this ritual once and for all!
If I hear votes to the contrary they'll arrive, but with ~24 hours left, a success logged, and our milestones achieved, it seems to me like you guys might not want to battle a bunch of Enervations on wings :-p

For some reason I don't feel like dealing with even more enervation...

Same here ^^

Undy's pretty much out of spells so I'm happy to rest with what we've accomplished. Hopefully it has been sufficient to save Absalom!

***OVERSEER ANNOUNCEMENT***
The wicked glabrezu Katazuul, pierced by ballista bolts and scorched by spells, collapses as her portal sputters and closes. A moment later, a brass horn sounds a triumphant fanfare to announce that the fiend-flesh army has been routed. The march back to Absalom is a jubilant one, though rumors are running wild through the streets as to exactly who the invaders were, what they wanted, and why undead spies sprang to life shortly after beacons appeared around Skyreach. Despite rampant speculation of the Grand Lodge’s involvement in the invasion, the citizens as a whole recognize the heroism with which Pathfinder agents personally averted disaster and rode at the vanguard of the city’s victorious forces. Absalom’s primarch Lord Gyr—whom few remember seeing during the attack—remains silent on the matter, though Siege Lord Wynsal Starborn delivers a speech within the hour personally recognizing the Society’s key role in protecting the City at the Center of the World.
At the Grand Lodge, Ollysta Zadrian recounts news of the victory. “Soon after we stormed the siege castle and slew Katazuul, Absalom’s navy from Escadar arrived and sank what remained of the undead armada. Once again, Absalom has prevailed in the face of adversity!” Raising her armored fist in celebration, Zadrian shouts: “For Absalom! Absalom! Absalom!”
Master of Swords Marcos Farabellus seems only to have grown more concerned since the siege began, and he confirms what many agents had discovered earlier. “Based on many reports from Pathfinders, we have a reason to believe the attack was a concerted effort driven by several enemies of the Pathfinder Society. We now know that it was Pasha Muhlia Al-Jakri—once a respected leader of many Pathfinders—who used the Black Echelon codebook to summon the undead saboteurs. We have reason to believe Grandmaster Torch was involved, at least enough that his minions attempted to usurp Gulgamodh to turn against Absalom. Finally, we learned the demons in the siege castle were vassals of a powerful demon that’s no stranger to the Society, and it is not difficult to deduce that ex-venture-captain Thurl had a hand in creating the fiend-flesh army. Today, we emerged victorious, and I assure you that we shall ascertain these villains’ true motives and put a stop to them.”
That’s the end! Thank you for playing, everyone, and a particular thank you to all the hardworking GMs and backup GMs that made made this special possible.
