"We set the trap again to slow it in case it came in that way..."

Maka will cast Detect Magic and study the reliquary.
1d20
+17 for Spellcraft (31) or +15 for Knowledge (arcana) (29), whichever you deem appropriate.
Maka believes that the reliquary may neutralize poison, regeneration and bane.
Maka the Witch
|
Maka's eyes widen as she studies the reliquary.
"This also seems to have powerful restorative properties, similar to the font we found on the other side of the temple..."
Maka will use her waterskin to pour some water into the reliquary. She will offer water to the orc before trying the water herself.
| Beat It Flat |
There is already water in the reliquary, so there is no need to add water. The orc seems to grow stronger after drinking from the reliquary. He even notes that his mangled leg and arm are beginning to feel better. He thanks you again.
Arie D'nostica
|
Arie points at the reliquary, "OK everyone, drink up!"
After everyone else goes, she will take a good drink and address the Orc, "Well, we were told that a test of knowledge would be needed to use this structure to help get rid of the Reaver. Any ideas on that?"
| Beat It Flat |
By dinking from the reliquary you should fare better against the reaver. There might be other things in the Bastion that might prove useful as well, but I did not have the opportunity to look.
Drinking from the reliquary would give you the effect of neutralize poison, regeneration, the bane property on your weapons against the red reaver, and a +2 sacred bonus to AC versus the red reaver
Tiki.
|
Tiki will take a drink and give some to his companion as well.
Arie D'nostica
|
Yes, there are obviously more clues here, let's move on.
Arie D'nostica
|
Arie will follow as well.
Dangit, the map is back to acting weird again. I don't see any tokens on it. :)
| Beat It Flat |
Map is back to normal. Go ahead move your token to the next area to check. If need be you can just next room to the right, or left, whatever can describe the direction.
| Beat It Flat |
Malark you see nothing of particular interest in this room on first glance. Give me a perception check.
| Malark Kreel |
Malark you see nothing of particular interest in this room on first glance. Give me a perception check.
I have rolled 19
Arie D'nostica
|
Arie follows Malark in...
perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
I don't know what's going on with my map view, still wonky, anyone who is seeing a good map, move me in with Malark please. :)
Arie D'nostica
|
"Hmmm. I wonder what this is..."
spellcraft: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
| Malark Kreel |
Malek enters next room to the east.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
If there's nothing in there then he'll go to the next room in the east
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
| Beat It Flat |
"Hmmm. I wonder what this is..."

Arie D'nostica
|
"Well, this could come in handy!"
Arie will continue to move with Malark.
Well, map looks good but I see no tokens at all. Weird. It's just this game. :)
Maka the Witch
|
I moved the slayer up with us, so I see the four tokens in the room behind Malark. I also see a token for the injured orc we just helped, as well as a random token in the main room.
| Beat It Flat |
The door to the room stands partially open. Inside the room stand a number of shelves and bookcases, many bearing old scorch marks and the blackened remains of old leather-bound books. Scrolls and papers, some little more than decayed piles of ash, lie strewn across the floor.
There are also 5 orcs in the room, that are obviously in the process of looting the place.
Tiki.
|
Tiki moves into the room with Kiti.
"Excuse me. Exactly what do you think you are doing? You either better have a good explanation or return that where you found it."
| Silver Bullet |
What Tiki means to say is, we are here to help you carry all this stuff out of here for free. He also means to say try not to accidentally damage anything you aren't carrying out of there, as that will leave evidence behind, he is anxious. bluff: -1 + 1d20 ⇒ -1 + (14) = 13
The then whispers to his allies. We will then attack them, when they have their backs turned. Orcs aren't going to stop stealing cause you told them too, it will help us get a surprise on them.

Arie D'nostica

Sensing violence Arie will step back from the front and start it off by casting Haste.
xtra attack on full attack, +1 to atacks, +1 to AC and Reflex saves, +30' to movement speed
Maka the Witch
|
Maka moves towards the corner of the outer room to gain a sight line to the yellow-bordered orc. She raises her hand to cast a spell.
"Tell your friends: you should give up now before you are eliminated."
Move Action: Move to spot on map.
Standard Action: Cast Contagious Suggestion on the yellow-bordered orc. Will save DC is 23. My suggestion is to surrender.
| Beat It Flat |
Silver actions? then some orcs.
| Beat It Flat |
Silver gets a good hit in on red
Blue moves forward and swings at Tiki.
battleaxe: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 181d8 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
swing and a miss
Red full attacks Silver.
battleaxe: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 191d8 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
iter. attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 271d8 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
red barely misses on the first swing, but connects with silver on the second attack
yellow double moves upto Malark
Malark is up
Arie D'nostica
|
Don't forget to add any bonuses for the Haste. +1 attacks and damage, +1 AC. Would that help Silver? Also don't forget an extra attack on full attack option and the extra 30' movement
| Malark Kreel |
I forgot haste.
So my first attack is 20 and damage 9
+1 scimitar- haste attack: : 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 8 + 1 = 11
damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
| Beat It Flat |
Haste only adds to the attack, not damage
Malark swings twice, but misses both times. The first just barely missed.
Purple moves up to attack Silver
battleaxe: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 311d8 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Tiki and Kiti are up
Tiki.
|
Tiki taps into Kit's primal nature causing hide harden and tusk to become thicker.
Activate primal transformation as a swift action. Kiti's natural armor increases by 2 and his gore damage increase by one step.
Tiki then brings his earthbreaker down upon the orc in front of him.
+1 Resizing Adamantine Earthbreaker: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (2) + 18 = 20 Damage: 1d8 + 15 ⇒ (1) + 15 = 16
+1 Resizing Adamantine Earthbreaker: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (4) + 18 = 22 Damage: 1d8 + 15 ⇒ (2) + 15 = 17
+1 Resizing Adamantine Earthbreaker: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18 Damage: 1d8 + 15 ⇒ (5) + 15 = 20
Kiti.
|
If the orc is down, Tiki will move Kiti to engage the orc next to Malark and order Kiti to try to sunder the orc's axe. (Kiti has the maneuver trick for sunder).
Sunder: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (10) + 18 = 28 Damage: 2d6 + 16 ⇒ (6, 2) + 16 = 24
Gore (+1 keen tusk blades): 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (14) + 17 = 31 Damage: 2d6 + 16 ⇒ (3, 1) + 16 = 20
Gore (+1 keen tusk blades): 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (13) + 17 = 30 Damage: 2d6 + 16 ⇒ (5, 4) + 16 = 25
Gore (+1 keen tusk blades): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29 Damage: 2d6 + 16 ⇒ (4, 4) + 16 = 24
Third attack would threaten a critical.
Confirm: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32 Damage: 2d6 + 16 ⇒ (3, 3) + 16 = 22
| Beat It Flat |
Tiki attacks blue but is only able to hit once.
Kiti then gores the blue orc and is able to put down with its second attack.
the orange orc shakes off Maka attempt to command it and double moves up to replace the fallen blue orc.

Arie begins reciting a lyrical story concerning Orcs, "Long ago a beast of Green, his hindquarters, quite unclean..."
She's a lot better than me. Starting a Bardic performance, Inspire Courage. Each round it is up everyone gains +2 to hit and weapon damage (confused the haste with that earlier, my bad) as well as +2 to saves versus charm and fear effects. This stacks with the haste effect so +3 to hit, +2 damage (weapons only), +2 on those saves, +30' movement, +1 to AC and Reflex saves and 1 extra attack on a full attack.
