"Accidentally on something, eh?" the good doctor asks, glancing wilbert up and down. "I've got a treatment for that, won't take but a minute."

Well... the guy seems to be intelligent.

"Besides, it ain't my fault I look like this." he continues. "Me mum was quite the looker for an ogre. Da' always said I took after him."

... Riiiiight

"No," Oranna responds back in whisper.

She then sees the Half-Ogre."Ogre look rather nice," she says, sort of forgetting Wilbert for the moment.

"No," Oranna responds back in whisper.

Dr. McKnuckles grins. "See!" he says jovially. "She's got good taste." the half-ogre doctor gives her a look up and down. "And good bone structure." he observes. "I wouldn't mind giving her an adjustment 'pro-bone-oh', if you know what I mean... eh?" the doctor makes an oft misused joke while (gently) elbowing Wilbert in the arm. "Hehe... free medical care."

"Hmm... Oranna has needed to set appointment to visit doctor for anual check up," she responds not understanding the innuendo that Fisty said. She raises her pint for another round and is rather puzzled as mukes over it.

"Well, you got a doctor right here." Dr. McKnuckles touts, tapping his chest with a hand. His fingers aren't as stubby as you would think for being ogrekin, but he does have knuckles belonging to a larger breed of human.

"Tell you what, after this get-togetha dies down, I can get you that check up you'd wanted." he offers. He gestures to the group. "All y'all who've needed fixin, I'll give free exam. Just pay for any corrections, eh?"

"A cho... nope nope. if you say your a normal human, then you are, I want discriminate with my Henchwoman or men. SOooo nice dress, Miss Flowers help you pick it?"

She looks back at old what ever his name is bar keep.

"A thimble of Meed please and what every the my new Henchwoman wants to drink"

Oranna nods, "Doctor good for health and eyes," she says as she gulps down another pint of ale, "If little lady buy drink, I'll work."

S'quig-aly beams at Evilena. "THANK YOU KINDLY! FLUFFY CATTLE HUMAN IS NICE, BUT SHE WAS NOT INVOLVED. THE DRESS IS A PART OF MY BODY."

She turns to the bar keep, a thoughtful look in her eyes. "AS A HUMAN, I REQUIRE WATER FOR SUSTENANCE! A SMALL CONTAINER OF WATER, PLEASE."

I get the feeling that S'quig-aly will love Dr. McKnuckles once she sees how he does 'adjustments'... So much hugging!

Hops over the Orannas shoulder now she has agreed to work as her Henchwoman/halforc.

"Part of your body, I see, that is, well... nice. Bit like my wings then which reminds."

She starts to check out her plumage after her beer dip.

"So I was told there was some work to be found here about's, and as I will need coin to develop my evil plans to take over the world. Was keeping a eye out, for any being offered. Been here 3 days now waiting, seems with this rain we will all be staying the night. Best get you spots booked before the best spaces are gone."

Dr. McKnuckles perrs over the tiny girl talking big and grins.

"You're gonna take over da world?" he asks, not at all looking like he's mocking you. "Why'd you wanna do that?"

He finishes off another drink and picks up another. "You're tiny. That will be hard."

she looks over at Dr McKnuckles, then starts talking, its like she dos not take a breath, it all comes out in one long stream of words.

"Well there are a number of reasons, I think I can do a much better job of running the place than the block heads who seem to be trying to do so at the moment. I mean really, idiotic things they do. Take faiths for one thing, all those gods, really do we need them all. Why not just have one who looking after the whole afterlife thing and has nothing to do with the world. You know, a whole hands off approach for once. In fact what call it faith at all when your local god shows up and shows you they are real with a demonstration of their power. Where the faith in that! "O grate god Thingy are you real" then Boom you pants are on fire and your thinking. Yep your there alright. That's not true faith, that's just following the bleedin obvious. And what comes from this existential certainty. A bunch of priests and cult leader just doing what they are told to mess things up. While not actuality teaching faith but do as your told. That's just one thing I would change, yep a single Church with a inscrutable god that dos not directly interfere with the world and never talks to anyone but nut jobs now and then. And don't get me started in the body politic. This whole might is right thing is nuts, no we need a functional democracy of total inclusion. No more just killing thing because you think they should not live. Its crazy. Also with magic why is there not universal health care, a free education system and a cheap and reliable transport system, let alone housing. It seems the whole world has been set up buy the gods for perpetual strife and suffering. Why not change all that and have a world of opulence and peace with me as you all powerful ruler. Really how can you say no."

She gives a sweet smile at the end,

Patchy scratches his beard as he thinks over Evilena's argument. Nodding ever so slightly as if he has come to a decision, he looks down at her and says.

If you let SpongeBob be the single god of world, you can have my vote. Tell me how do you feel about sea shanties?

So, what you want Oranna to do?" she asks, grabbing a new tankard of ale.

"Tell me more of this Spung-poob you talk of"

Then to Oranna

"Be my Henchwoman, hurt when I need some hurt-in done to others, protect when I need some Protecting and help me in my evil plans to take over the world, that kind of thing, O and check for monsters under my bed, you can never be to careful when it comes to under the bed."

She says being 100% serous

Upon hearing Evilenas response patchy thinks to himself
Finally someone is willing to hear more about him.

A smile crosses Patchys face as he begins to explain the teachings of SpongeBob to her.

Well SpongeBob hails from beneath the waves, his stories are of heart and whimsy, but if you look closely you can see that he has a dark side. He is relatively unknown in these parts and I am here with Polly trying to spread his word.

10 minutes background for Mike Alatar:

The Ten-Minute Background

In an attempt to get all the information I need to create stuff from character backgrounds without having to continually push for information, I am asking that you create backgrounds the following way:

Step 1: write five things about your character’s concept and background, five things that you think are the most essential parts of your character. You don’t have to stop at five, if you like…this is just a minimum.

1. Mike Alatar is a stripper. He hates his job, but it pays his bills.
2. Mike is very light hearted, and takes very few things seriously.
3. Mike loves the various costumes and disguises that come from his job.
4. His adventuring career began when he was mistaken for an adventurer while in his “hot knight” costume. The guard called on his aid.
5. Mike uses his fascinating magic striptease to captivate his enemies so others can do the hard work.

Step 2: List two goals for the character that you, as a player, think would be cool to see accomplished in-game. During any session in which you take positive action to achieve that goal, I will award you an action point that can only be used in scenes furthering that goal. These Action Points are separate from the action points you gain by resting and reaching milestones. You can change goals later, though you lose all the accumulated Action Points for the goal you abandoned.

1. Mike would love to earn enough money to finally quit the soul sucking job he is stuck in.

Mike is very free-spirited and has very few plans for the future. It’s hard to choose a second goal for him. His goals are very short sighted and easily accomplished.

Step 3: List two secrets about your character. One is a secret the character knows, one is a secret that involves him but that he is not actually aware of yet. This will help me in creating plots that center around your character. I will also be creating a third secret which you as a player will not be aware of, so expect some surprises!

1. Mike is actually a virgin. He puts on a strong bravado, but the hordes of overenthusiastic customers have terrified him of what the act is like.
2. Mikes boss (Robbert Kratz) has been robbing him for years (75% of his pay). Mike has no idea.

Step 4: Describe three people that are tied to the character though blood, romance or honor. Two of them are friendly to the character, one is hostile. All can do something useful for you, if you can get the situations to line up. If you like, you can include an enemy of yours here as well, so I have an instant NPC nemesis to throw at you.

1. Robert Kratz is a middle aged business man who owns a small (and unsuccessful) seedy tavern in town. He also manages a handful of male and female strippers for hire. The man is successful in his management business and uses his position to steal from his employees without their knowledge and garner favors from and blackmail his customers. He has such a friendly personality like a father figure, almost no one suspects the dirty underhanded tactics he employs.
2. Jessica Schultz is one of only two friends that knows about Mike’s job. She has been his best friend since they were children as they both grew up in the same neighborhood. She is training to be a wizard. She is various studious and serious. The very opposite of Mike. They make perfect opposites and balance one another out very well.
3. James Cook is an older stripper that taught Mike several tricks of the trade when he first started. James retired not long after Mike started as he was nearing his mid 30’s and getting too old for the business. While he’s never admitted it, Mike suspect James may have done some side deals under the table behind Robert’s back as James seemed to have more money than he ever earned in tips.

Step 5: Describe three memories that your character has. They don't have to be elaborate, but they should provide some context and flavor.

1. Mike remembers his first day as an adventurer well. He was on his way to a local tavern where a bachelorette party had rented out the back room for him to dance. As he neared the tavern he saw a large crowd gathered and the city guard holding a perimeter. Mike learned from the crowd that a couple bandits were holding the tavern patrons hostage in a botched escape attempt after robbing the magic item shop. A guard spotted Mike in his “hot adventurer” costume and pulled him past the barrier. After offering a huge sum of coin for his aid Mike got an idea. He snuck into the tavern under the guise of bringing food and drink for the hostages. Once inside he started his tease, dancing for the hostages and bandits alike. Captivated by the magic of his swaying body, the bandits were so captivated they didn’t notice the town guard come in the back door and surround them. By the time Mike’s first set was done the bandits were in custody and his tip jar was nearly full.

Mike leans against the wall in the town hall only half listening. Cattle missing? I guess this is why business has been so slow recently. Feeling to his pocket and the couple of coins that remain. Suddenly a guard near the door recognizes him.

"Oi, you there. You're that guy who helped save those hostages last week right?"

Not really, Mike thought to himself. That was all just a big misunderstanding...Then again, I did make quite a bit of coin in rewards afterward. Maybe I should join up with those other idiots volunteering. How hard can it be right?"

"Yes sir! I can help out!"

The mayor calls out, "Excellent, another volunteer to hunt the monsters."

Mike goes pale at the word, Monsters? What have I gotten myself in to now.

That should be her updated stats. (I'll transfer them to her profile later.) Please point out any weird issues.

10 minutes with Mizuki:

Five Things about Mizuki
1. She likes to flirt with the guys, but also dreams of finding true love.
2. She rarely shows her true form, preferring to blend in with her human form.
3. She is close to her mother, considering when growing up Rei was the only parent she's ever known.
4. She spent much of her childhood traveling from place to place with her mother.
5. She loves to sing and dance, because that's another thing she learned from her mother.

Two Goals
1. She wants to be a great performer one day, even if she's not a bard.
2. She would like to find out who her father is.

Two Secrets
1. The biggest secret Mizuki has, is the fact she's a kitsune rather than the pretty human she generally portrays herself as.
2. Mizuki is unaware the reason her mother was so nomadic is because her mother seduced her father to steal something. Rei later regretted it, especially when she discovered she was pregnant, but was terrified of being caught.

Three People Tied to Mizuki
1. Rei Hikari - Mizuki's mother, was the one who taught her everything she knows about being a ninja
2. Taeren - Her first love, left him behind when she and her mother moved on. Half-Elf, was the one who taught her Elven.
3. Her father - Was a minorly famous adventurer himself, traveled with her mother.

Three Memories
1. Her first kiss with Taeren, a stolen moment in the inn she and her mother were working in. Maybe it wasn't the grandest, but he was so sweet and that made it perfect for her.
2. The day she and her mother left, breaking her heart and Taeren's. It bothers her how suddenly Rei decided they needed to leave.
3. The first time she performed solo, instead of alongside her mother. Mizuki was so nervous, but glad she made her mother proud.

RP Sample
A dark-haired, blue-eyed human girl slides in to listen to the mayor. She is clad in leather armor, with a bow and quiver slung at her back and wakizashi at her side. She smiles, "I'm Mizuki, how can I be of service?" She brushes her bangs out of her eyes, and the silver highlights of her hair catch the light.

Again speeding over her words like a fey on cat-nip rushes out a stream of thoughts, like a Verbal Chain gun.

"He and I take it with a name like bob, its a he, sounds very waterry based, I was kind of looking for a none gender non sort of spastic deity, you know one with no real power other than creation and the odd profit now and then a long time ago, sort of add to the mystery and not have them, you know, around to get in the way of earthly power, I mean, the last thing I want is a god who will turn up and tell me what to do, Nope I think if they had some Obscure and obtuse holy-book that everyone reads but do's not really follow that would be best. That way you could have things in it like. "Killing is bad ok" but then have other parts saying "Killing is good ok" and that way you can pick and choose, I mean that would be really helpful when running the world, There is black and white, 'DO as I say, don't do as I do, cuz god says so' would be really useful that and save a load of time."

you may get the idea she talks like this most of the time, crazy fast.

Well tomorrow is picking day, you get the idea of what she is like now. She is smart, talks really fast, spinning out her plans to become the worlds evil dictator, but if you hear her plans they seem, well good, or for the grater good, as if she has good and evil mixed up in her head. I hope you like her GM.

@Gregor: I haven't had any thoughts, but I'm open to some suggestions

Recruitment closes today, we'll say by 6pm PST, get everything in!

I felt something like Extra Bombs was a power grab, so I took Extra Discovery and looked for something thematic for a bartender/Brewer. Settled on Tanglefoot Bomb. I assume his bombs are basically molotov cocktails, and the 'entangle' effect could be the alcohol getting the target temporarily drunk?

@Gregor: Yeah, that's fine

You walk into the town hall. There is a large group of people yelling about missing cattle, dying crops, and mysterious creatures in the night that people have described 18 different ways. It's obvious there's a threat to your town, but no one has stepped up to fix it and the mayor is holding this meeting to find someone to help.
What do you do?

-----------------------

Stepping through the back door of the tavern, Gregor looks up and pauses. this isn't my tavern? Where did I go wrong...? looking down, he realizes the cask of whiskey he was carrying back from the caravan is awfully light. may have sampled a bit too much of it... Anyway, what is this commotíon... Gregor moves closer to the crowd to hear their complaints.

As the story of an unknown threat to the town is made clear, Gregor grows surprisingly serious. grain and livestock in danger?! No grain means I cannot brew beer, and no meat means no stew, this cannot be.... Stepping forward, "Lads and lasses, have not a fear. The Corner Tavern is full of would-be heroes and i know the perfect few to help me unravel this riddle. So please, calm down and join me back at me taps for a fresh pint. We can collect all the details ye can share, and i will assemble a talented bunch to right this wrong. A midnight stakeout is in order, and i have the perfect aged applejack to keep us keen through a cold night as we await these nocturnal troublemakers..."

Feats, background skills, and equipment weights have all been addressed.

Recruitment is now closed. I have messaged the people that have been selected. I'm sorry to everyone who did not make it. As always, these kinds of selections are incredibly difficult. I will reference this thread for backups if people drop away.

If someone else would like to make a group of those not selected and start up a new campaign, by all means, go for it! There was a lot of great options in this, and I'm sorry I couldn't take everyone!

Well as I did not get a PM, looks like little Evilena will have to find others to play with.

Good look picked players and may the Funny-times begin.

So I had a think, and if anyone wants to be in a second Table I am happy to run one.

With GM Adamungus running Table 1 [AKA the good guys team]

My idea for table 2 is simple [Your the "Not so great at it* bad guys]
My hope is to overlap with GM Adamungus and his good team [baring the fact they will mess up in funny ways, my table will do the same, bad but in a good way. Not really evil just working for Evilina in her badly thought our plans to take over the world.

I expect bad execution of her plans, things to go wrong and all wound F**K ups.

You don't have to be evil aliment, in fact it would be better some where N or even CG.

Rules change for Table 2.
Hero points
A good bad guy always has their plans foaled but comes back to fight another day. SO you get hero points. So when you get into binds, you will have a few 'get out or trouble cards'
BUT! here is the thing, you have to play them in the most unlikely and funny way. Narration of your hero point spend is key here, the better it is the more chance I will give you a hero point back.

Quirky
Another Bad guys team rules change, every PC on the Bad guys Team will have a Quirky THING about them that they have to play.

Could be anything.

"Is very fat and eats when ever he can"
"Faints at the sight of blood"
"Think the number three is out to get them"
"Carry's around and talks to a toy Teddy"
"uses windows and not doors when ever they can"
You can make your own up.

You get the idea, this is add odd ball-ness into the bad guy PC mix.

there you have it, if I can get 4 or more players, Ill make that second table, make another game thread and have a chat with GM Adamungus about where he would like to link Bad guys team with good guy team.

The aim as always to be funny and have fun.

Sure, same build and everything.

Yep Oranna, same with just the two added rules bits for Bad guys.
[that's 1, 3 or more and ill make that 2ed table.]
Bad Guy PCs will start with 1 Hero point, and then we will take it from there.

Done and done. Evilena's Half Orc Hench-woman is ready to go.
