Sorry posting has been slow, guys. End of the year rush at work has had me swoggled. And with the holidays here, I think I'm going to officially put the game on slow mode until after Christmas.
Of course the characters still have plenty to talk about. This is a good time to do it without me sticking an oar in.

All right. While this break has been very useful to work, enough is enough; I owe you guys some attention too.
I will still be busy for a number of weeks. So I will try to maintain one a days until Mar 11, my next work deadline. Then I've got a short vacation with my wife Chris. Beyond that I hope to be back to a 2 or 3 a day clip.
I am sorry for the delay and thank you for your patience.

You each have one Harrow POint. (Similar to hero points, but see below)
In Escape from Old Korvosa, Harrow Points may be used for:
Intelligence Rerolls: Spend a Harrow Point to reroll any
one Intelligence-based skill check. You must abide by the
new result (although if you have additional Harrow Points
remaining, you can use them to attempt additional rerolls).
Flash of Insight: Spend a Harrow Point to be able to
make a skill check in an untrained skill you don’t normally
have ranks in. You gain a one-time +5 insight bonus on
this skill check.
Arcane Wrath: Spend a Harrow Point to increase the
strength of an arcane spell as it is cast. This spell gains a +2
bonus on its save DC, a +4 bonus on its caster level check
to overcome spell resistance, and a +2 bonus on any attack
rolls needed to strike the target.
In addition, the card a PC draws during the choosing has
special qualities during this adventure. Each of these cards
is tied to a specific encounter in “Escape from Old Korvosa,”
and when a PC who drew that card reaches that encounter,
he gains a +2 bonus on all rolls modified by Intelligence,
and all arcane spells cast by him manifest at +1 caster level.
These bonuses last for the encounter’s duration.
I am not very good with book-keeping so it would behoove you to remind me to check whose Harrow card gives them an edge at the beginning of combat.
Some who are intimately familiar may detect a potential injustice in the draw, but I assure you that in the long run justice will be done.
I play enough AD&D that I don't mind a bit of 'injustice' & I know Treppa's dice are rarely just (unless it's 'just above a 1')

Certainly, I hope things become less frantic and settle into a more stable state, for your own sake.
I've kept notes on the harrow cards in every scenario so far and always manage to remind Thom..but it's on Heathers profile if anyone needs to check.
Yeah, I am cutting back in general, as other games reach logical break points, I don't want to wink out in the middle of something important. After work returns to normal, I hope that a lower load of games as a PC will allow me to concentrate better on the games I am running.
Oddly enough my departure seems to have revitalized that game.
And that's why I didn't get to it for almost a week. Sorry for the delay. This next week at work will squeeze my time, but we should be doing a lot of dialogue and that's quicker to post.

Carcassone is awesome, went there as a kid on holiday once. The walled city was amazing!

It is. The walls were all lit up at night, looked amazing, and the old city inside was awesome (well, it seemed like that to an 8-year-old anyway!).
Yep, we even played Carcassone at our little house. We were in Mazamet but toured the region - going to most of the lovely little churches and castles. Plus the weather was good (not great, but better than the storm that hit the Pennines a few hours ago).
7 sessions of PFS last weekend..ended up totally knackered and we got our asses handed to us twice in the adventures.No deaths just major league failures

Slept too little
All in all a typical Con and I'm doing it again at Paizocon UK at the end of July

Computer problems continue. My laptop is toast. It will only run for 5 minutes at a time before shutting down, and I often have to try multiple times to get it started. I should have a new laptop sometime next week, but won't take it on the web until IT adds security software. I may end up going to Toronto with an unecured computer in which case I will not be able to post from there, but we'll cross that bridge when we burn it.
