Tolan Darkslayer - Dwarf Ranger
Antoni Kettler - Human Fighter
Rasgraton - Oread cleric
Gur - orc of 22 str!
Shadowyfox - Dark Sorcerer
Loreska - halfelf witch
Gabby - necromancer (15pt char for now)

I think 7 char is a lot, but not un-do-able. If we take all I will need help on the DM side. Useful jobs for volunteers:

>Mapper - to post a google site or something and keep maps updated
>Lawyer - Someone I can PM any rules questions I have! This guys/gal saves a ton of time in fast games:)
>artist - to search images and mood stuff, post it on a g-site we can link to.
>others i haven't thought of yet!

Let me know if there are any volunteer!

I don't like to collect aliases for unused characters, so I generally don't make an alias until/unless accepted into a game.

So, the mechanics of Punka Bodi, Harrowed Varisian Bard, are spoilered below. I am sending my rough background to the DM here in a moment or two.

I have experience as a rules answer guy. I was a Triad member for Living Greyhawk, am actually credited as a contributor in a couple of RPG books (not the author, a contributor), founded and ran a public game day for over a decade and have overseen multiple tables of RPG events across multiple systems at conventions. Oh, and I have spent years as a demo monkey, helping introduce people to specific games at Gen Con, Origins and regional conventions. Here's how I handle rules questions when under a time constraint: Is this ruling going to end a character? If no, then we can discuss the rules and figure out right, later, at this point the judge's off-the-cuff call stands. Mechanics are supposed to support the story, not restrict or define it.

Or, given DM Night-Shade's last post, am I too late?

Sounds good to me.

Oh, and I see your creepy story and raise you another.

An older man finally retires after 40 years of working and decides he is going to move out to the country. He finds himself a reasonably priced priced farm house out in the sticks that meets his needs and moves out there for some peace and quite. Before he purchased the property he had noticed an odd stone pyramid outside the house, about knee high and made of solid concrete. The man who owned the house before him told him it was the capstone to an old well that had gone sour a few years back and he had placed it there to keep kids from falling in.

Well a couple years go by and it is deep in the dog days of summer. The old man's water pipe busts leading to his house and he is told he will be without water for a week. Well he decides this won't do at all. So he gets it in his mind he is going to open that old well up. It takes him the better part of the day but he finally breaks it open and runs a bucket down. When he brings the bucket up the water is a black sludge of putrid muck. Depressed and defeated the old man decides to call it a day deciding to recap the well the next day.

The next day comes around and he wakes to a faint calling, it sounds like someone shouting for help far away. Shaking it off the old man goes down for breakfast and sits out on his porch with a plate of bacon and eggs. In the middle of his meal he hears the sound again, this time louder. Looking around he hears it again, this time he can tell it is coming from the well. The old man comes running over, scared as can be he shouts down to hold still help is coming. Well the old man, not thinking of his own safety, throws down the old rope he had used to pull up water and ties it off to an old oak in the yard. Up over the edge he goes, barely squeezing his way down to the cistern where it widened. As he got to the cistern he heard a sharp snap from above as the rope snapped, sending him falling the last few feet to the mucky water below. Managing to get himself up, the old man mustered energy enough for him to get his flashlight around to see his surroundings and screamed in fright. For there in the corner were the last companions he would ever have, four little corpses huddled and broken; grinning the rictus grin of death.

I don't mind helping out. Feel free to PM research questions or anything else.

I'll have to re-write Talon's backstory. I've never written a Gothic backstory before so give me a couple days.

hah, that story reminds me of another one about an old guy and a well...but i'm not going to tell it now! I'm gonna use it!

Let's styick with 7 players. Hustonj I hope you will be an alternate? Gabby takes the last seat.

I'll post the opening scene tomorrow? or does anyone want more time?

I'm good. I'm gonna take the challenge of not setting up a backstory, but seeing how Antonia/Antoni/Toni develops with just a concept.

Tomorrow sounds good.

You know me ill do the mapping.

I dont really have much of a backstory just more of a personality. Will that be a problem?

Try to have fun!

no problem. We can flesh out characters as we go! The only thing you need is:

A PREVIOUS RELATIONSHIP WITH THE DEAD SCHOLOR, PETROS, AND THUS HAVE A REASON TO HAVE TRAVELED TO USTALOV TO BE AT HIS FUNERAL.

Let me know if you can't think of one.

Unless someone stops me...tomorrow it is:)

PMed Gabbi's background, thank you for finding room.

Hey care to start the discussion page?

Here is ShadowyFox's sorcerer.

Nice. I like the backgrounds everyone sent me. I will work hard to work you all into the story.

If anyone becomes unhappy with the game PM me immediately! There are few problems we can't solve. But only if we know those problems exist!

Game starts tomorrow. Get to know eachother on the discussion board if you want, it's open!

Silver Crusade

I am interested in being put on the replacements list. I have not drawn up a character, but I will fill whatever roll is needed should one of the other players drop.
