Kieran watches the King to make sure he moves forward with Tirnel. Once he sees the King moving Kieran advances in front of the group and heads towards Quinray and the tunnel entrance.

I don't want to question Desna's gift, but that was a bit too easy. Probably means real trouble ahead.

Oh no trolls are too tough! Ogres die too easily, not enough sport! Make up your mind Kieran! You guys did well with your rolls, don't expect that will happen every time.

Quinray: You only need to roll once for perception, I will add 1/2 rogue levels for trap detection. Stealth is only going to help if you move ahead of everyone on your own, if the guys with all the armor are right up next to you it doesn't really matter much.

Group: Is everyone moving forward into the Cave of Death together or is Quinray up ahead by himself.

The plan was for Quinray to scout the entrance as the rest of the party moves up to join him. Once we see what's about in the entrance area I'll probably ask Quinray to go ahead of the party, using stealth, and let us know what he sees via message. See if we can't set up some more well rolled ambushes.

Quinray stealthed forward. It is what it is. Hopefully not ogre bait. What does Quinray notice so he can message back.

Quinray stealths forward into the Cave of Death and enters a cavern about 30' across with a crude set of stairs leading down on the far side. At the bottom of the stairs, a wide hall leads forward with a set of crude double doors at the end. There is also one door to the left and one on the right of the hallway. The entire area generally smells bad.

There are also torches in sconces spaced to provide dim light throughout the cave complex.

damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
sneak: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 3) = 5

Ibram and Kentaur's ogre is looking severely wounded as is Kieran's ogre and Quinray's ogre. There attacks against the party are feeble, surely victory is near at hand.

reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

Kentaur
club: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22

Kieran
club: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19

Quinray
club: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14

Suddenly the party is hit hard from behind by three sneaking ogres!

Tirnel
club: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27
dam: 2d8 + 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 2) + (4) + 6 = 13

Ibram
club: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30
dam: 4d8 + 1d6 + 12 ⇒ (4, 3, 8, 4) + (5) + 12 = 36

who: 1d3 ⇒ 3
Quinray
club: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
dam: 2d8 + 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 6) + (2) + 6 = 20

Party action, there are now 6 ogres in total, 3 in front (all badly wounded) and 3 behind (no wounds).

Full confession and my bad, it just hit me that I don't have point blank master until level 5 so I should have switched to my falchion or suffered some AOO the last few rounds. Feel free to roll a few extra ogre attacks on me and maybe add an extra ogre to the fray as I would not have been getting 2 attacks with my falchion or doing as much damage per attack. :(

Kieran swings away with his falchion: 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 10 + 1 = 272d4 + 7 ⇒ (3, 1) + 7 = 11
