Rose also has a Cure Light Wounds potion from before, so if someone needs the other one, I'm fine with that.
As far as the sedative goes, Rose isn't exactly fond of the idea of poisons in general, though a though flavored as a sedative could be seen as a necessary use depending on circumstance. It might be better to someone more open to it's use, though more than willing to hold onto it for now just in case.

Rajuna Two-Fangs |

OK, so I read that as 2 Drow Poisons to Septimus and Raj. So that makes my list look like this:
(1) Anti-plague
(1) Anti-toxin
(2) Sedative (Drow Poison)
(1) Soothe Syrup
(1) CLW?
There is still the CLW potion and/or the idea of retconning away your guys' spell use and replacing that with Raj slugging down his first CLW potion. Cyn, is that OK with you. Oh generous casties would you prefer to have those back?
CLW (if needed) 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Well, that'd get rid of the need for at least one spell.

I have no problems with retcons. I trust you all to sort out what you have and don't have. I'll keep track of Walter for now (and Septimus, so that Lem doesn't have to worry about both Sep's actions and his equipment/supplies/extracts).
On that front, Walter has cast one first-level spell for the day (burning hands) and has four left. While he does have plenty of spells left, I can't help but think they might be best served kept in reserve, because without those spells Walter isn't exactly a combat demon.
You guys can decide which you'd prefer (unless Ice Titan is lurking somewhere). Either way, Walter's all healed up, and when you sort out what you're doing with potions/spells, please post your current hit points here. No need to tell me about your spell slots/potions though.
On another topic, I may not be able to post tomorrow or Thursday. It's strategic planning workshop time at work, so early starts and late finishes are the order of the day. I will see if I can keep things ticking over in the evenings, but I don't like my chances.

Rajuna Two-Fangs |

Coolio. OK, then let's have Raj drink his potion, pocket his new CLW potion to replace the one he just drank... and with Septimus' CLW infusion, Raj is at full HP... saving Theron both his CLW spells.
Ready... BREAK!

You might want to send a message to Ice Titan to see if he's still in on the game, because I think I've seen him posting around on the forums for the last week or two. Then again, coming up with a PBP post takes up a lot more time than a simple message board post, so maybe he has enough time for one but not the other.

Already done. We'll see if he can make it. : )

Just a heads up that my PC decided to stop operating as normal today. I hope to get it up and running over the weekend (not 100% sure what's wrong, but I have a friend who knows abit). It should only minimally impact the games I play in, as I can post from my iPad (just takes longer to draft a post). Just wanted to give a heads up on it.

Walter Vheist |

If you had rolled average on that (3, 4, 3, 4) Walter would be eating dirt right now.
On the other hand, if we were level 3, I'd have molten skin and it would have like not been as dramatic to get hit for all of my hp.
Note: take Toughness.
I'm hiding. Call me when you need bless!

Walter Vheist |

This entire encounter is going to be a laser light show between this thing shooting Scorching Rays at us and us firing back with Disrupt Undead rays.
We need Star Wars blaster firefight sound effects. ;)
If this was Star Wars, it would've missed me!
More seriously: Should I put Protection from Evil on someone (Rose or Theron, from a tactical standpoint, since they have spammable disrupt) to try to mitigate that it attacks touch, or should I keep my 2 spells for cures for people who get hit?

Belle Mythix |

Rofl, we're all going to uselessly throw our holy water in the furnace. I'm waiting for Lem to scream 'NOOOOOooo' ;)
Lem: NOOOooo!

Rose Springdawn |

Yep, voted here. I'll avoid saying who I voted for to avoid starting anything ugly ;)
Politics is way too hot a topic for me to talk about usually. So I've taken to giving a simple answer. Mark Hammill. You see, I completely agree with his policy regarding WMDs and how to handle them (like a womp rat!). And who wouldn't want the national religion to be Jedi? And hey, at least his big scandel was only kissing his sister. Everyone knows about it already!

Heh. There were lots of us here in the office yesterday wondering whether we should have taken an annual leave day to go watch the race for the White House. : )
I spent most of my time watching the trends in Ohio, and by around 1pm (9pm US Eastern) I had Obama winning in Ohio and the Pacific coast and New Mexico giving him what he needed to make it across the line.
What really surprised me was the 91% vote for Obama in Washington D.C.. Is it always slanted that far to the Democrats, or is Obama a special case?

Generally, you will find that Democrats will live in urban areas and that Republicans will live in rural areas. States in general have a good balance of rural and city population, so the vote percentages on each side will be fairly close in most cases.
DC is different though. It is basically just a sectioned off city with no rural community what-so-ever. This means almost everyone there is a democrat.
Part of my theory for why things are this way is that city dwellers are more used to governments affecting their lives, while rural people hate the government and want it to stop bothering them. Dems often want more government control, while Republicans want less, so that's how the lines get drawn. There are other factors, but I think that's one of the primary ones.

Theron tried to watch impassively as Lem cleansed the bones. A nagging voice in the back of his head was telling him that he should be giving them a blessing from Iomedae. However, he knew that such a thing was beyond him; he was simply an instrument of judgement. A blessing from him would simply be words with little to back them.
T_T , so beautiful.

Yea, I hate stat checks too, but I haven't come up with a good thing to replace them with in my games either :(
In my home game, we up the DC by 10 and then roll our stat.
So the DC 12 wisdom check wouldn't be d20+1 for Walter, but DC 22 with d20+12. Have to roll 1 less, but it becomes noticeable at higher stat levels.
That's so that a wizard with 8 str trying to break down a DC 15 door-- who has to roll 16 to break it-- doesn't roll a 16 after the fighter, who has 17 strength, fails on an 11. That's not heroic-- it's just shameful for the fighter. In the system I made up on the fly, the door would be DC 25 and the fighter rolls 1d20+17 and has to roll an 8. The wizard with 8 str trying to get through the same DC 25 door has to roll 17. That's a lot more balanced, in my mind, and only becomes better as you introduce more mechanics. Of course, DM fiat is needed at higher echelons of mechanics*, but still.
*raging barbarian using a hero point for +8 with a +6 all stats belt (strength score of 28) using strength surge to get level to check and ending up with 1d20+52, for instance... actual campaign example

Okay, so after a marathon two days at work and me writing bits and pieces of a post in between times, the post was lost due to server shenanigans. Unfortunately I'm now out of time to replicate it. Sorry for the wait folks, but you may have to wait another 24hrs to see any progress. Rest assured I'm still here and will pick this up as soon as I can. Sorry again for the delay.

Walter Vheist |

If you use Firefox, the Lazarus add-on here is way useful. It saves everything you put in Firefox in a text box, so when the server times out or whatever, you can re-fill the text by right clicking and selecting "Recover" and it'll just pop back up.
I find it very useful for Paizo stuff, since the server hates us.

Not sure if this game is going anywhere for the moment but I am on a business trip - posts may be delayed. Please feel free to NPC bot me if needed for a couple of days if I don't post in a timely manner.

Hey folks. You may have noticed that my posting has become erratic. Things are just stupid-busy at work. Unfortunately it looks set to be that way for quite a while, i.e. months rather than days or even weeks. I apologise, but there's not much I can do--save for quit my job, which I'm sure you will understand isn't exactly the best option. ; )
Otherwise, I look forward to wrapping up Harrowstone before the summer is out.
Well, it's summer for me. : )
