Professor Lorrimor, the renowned investigator and arcanist, has died. You came to his home in the town of Ravengro to pay your respects, but quickly discovered there was more to the wily old man's death than met the eye...

Ahh - finally- the penny drops! Sorry its 4am and I am thick as a brick and hopped up on flat coke. Sorry - forgot you are an Arcanist. It must be the huge guns that Karrik is sporting.

That said I think Karrik alone with Lorrimors collection of Chelaxian porn (I mean 'Art') may not be the sort of thing we want to read about after all.

Anyways getting back together again could be cool too. I think I actually flubbed the 'buy a man a beer' roll (unthinkable that this would fail in Australia) so it will be interesting to see what happens as a result.

Lol. no problem, man. I'm just giving you a hard time. I have posted more than either of the other two, so i just assumed you didn't think i had been neglected. (which i don't really feel, either).

Eesh... true on all accounts. An eclectic man like the Professor? Not sure Karrik is even brave enough to open those pages. :)

Not to worry, Raj will take over guard duty so you folks can go off and have some whacky adventures yourself... besides he's got to put that magic lolly from his new best friend to the test. See if Miss Lorrimor can handle super-sexy Raj. :)

I'm sure between the Kuthonic BDSM porn, his own devastating raw charisma, and the lolly... well, when the Wizard's house is a'rocking don't come a'knockin'!

Well, I've moved things on a little and hopefully should have everyone back together by this afternoon my time. Theron and Raj, feel free to assume that Alendru will agree to whatever 'deal' you might concoct to keep him out of trouble. He is terrified of going to jail, especially since he's a wizard and has relied chiefly upon his enchantment magics to get along in life so far; being denied his spellbook would not be pretty! He has a decent Charisma score by himself, but that doesn't mean he necessarily sees himself as being so charismatic that he doesn't need a little help every now and then.

Random behind-the-curtain-factoid--the lolly had a 25% chance of working as a use-activated wondrous item that acts as prestidigitation-in-a-can. ; )

Yay! I was worried about what was going to happen after all those horrible rolls XD . Raj, I'll leave most of it up to you since you were the ones getting spells cast on you.

Seeing how I tried out for this game and didn't get accepted(all be it on another character) I was wondering...oh great and powerful cynarion...if you wouldn't mind me lurking here and reading you're posts...maybe even having limited interactions with your players...I promise it won't derail important things...

Yep..really wish I would have put forth this character when I applied for this game...might have been selected.

If anyone is wondering I was the one who put forth Tomnus the fighter(tactition) build that had background issues.

Tsk Tsk, a veiled Crocodile Dundee reference just because the GM is Australian. For shame.

:-)

Seriously, though, I am having so much fun just even reading everyone's posts. Theron scaring the mage was just awesome.

Yeah, this is lots of fun. : ) To echo Helaman's comment from earlier, I've never seen a GM cast an enchantment spell like charm person on a PC before, but when I started asking questions of myself about Alendru's personality, and came up with the enchanter/con-man angle, it just made sense. What was really gratifying was watching Theron and Raj run with it. : )

Theron, Raj, I will get back to our mage-who-needs-to-change-his-underwear friend later today. But I'll happily script the remainder of the encounter so that it matches Raj's preferred outcome.

Mathpro, you're welcome to lurk if you like. I figure this is something of a spectator sport, what with all the threads being accessible to all and sundry. Naturally, it would be preferred if you can keep to the Discussion thread. If you start to derail things I will let you know. : )

Right. Now I'd best get back to work...

How about "I see you've played knifey-spooney before!"

; )

(Although that episode is probably the only time I've been cranky with The Simpsons. Normally their parodies are self-aware. That one didn't seem to be.)

Oh, I didn't think you were. I was just kidding. :-)

Re: Simpsons--I haven't seen an episode in a long time, but I still remember a lot from the earlier episodes. I'm a teacher, and I love when Skinner is talking to Crabapple and says : Come on, Edna! We both know these children have no future.

And at that moment the cafeteria is silent and the sound echoes. All the kids are staring in disbelief and Skinner says: Prove me wrong, kids, prove me wrong.

Awesome.

And if you are missing a part of one finger, you must be the woodshop teacher. :)

Male Halfling Cleric (Evangelist)/ 2

Hehe, I have all of my appendages. The only thing I've lost from teaching is my mind.

I'm a HS math teacher (Algebra and Geometry). Before that I taught English and Speech. I also was the In School Suspension teacher. I'm weird. :-)

"I don't believe you are a necromancer, but I AM going to inspect this establishment just to make sure. In the meantime however, you best start thinking of how you are going to make amends to this poor man lest I report you. If I ever find manipulating people with magic again..." Theron doesn't finish the sentence, leaving the wizard to make his own guesses about what his fate would be. Then he casts Detect Magic and begins scanning the surroundings with an appropriately grim look on his face.

Theron isn't expecting to find anything Evil and isn't planning to take anything. Part of this is putting on a show, and part is just 'making sure'. Too bad he doesn't have Detect Evil yet XD

This is awesome. I am going to have to throw something extra in now. : D

Rajuna Two-Fangs wrote:

Between you and me (and everyone else participating and lurking), I had Udaya as the central character of the party for a loooong time, because come on--a paladin in a horror-themed AP where there are plenty of questions to be asked about morality and 'right'? Too good to give up!

But I had an awful hard time building the party around her--not because she was a paladin per se, but because I couldn't get the mix of personalities right in my head.

Then I swapped Udaya for Raj and everything just fell into place. : )

So I'm not going to get to torture Udaya with questions about faith and her (perceived) apostasy, but I am going to get to do a lot of different things with Raj instead. Like torment him with Kendra, and have unscrupulous shopkeepers cast enchantments on him. ; )
