Rimble Sliffer |
Rimble will try to spot something inside the brewery, through the broken glass windows.
Stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
EDIT: Rimble, the stalker god.
GM Zinou |
Rimble, the frozen shadow, manages to check inside undiscovered. He notices two entrances to the brewery on the east and western sides.
Inside, a mass of broken tables, chairs, and barstools clutter the center of this dusty room, and a crumbling bar still stands in front of a broken mirror on the central wall. Three small alcoves in the southeast corner once served as semiprivate bar booths but now host only rubble. The door to a storage room in the southern corner hangs loose on its hinges, the smell of rotting refuse wafting from within. Two sets of double doors lead to the street and farther into the building.
The remnants of a once-working brewery are neatly organized around this large, warehouse-like room. Huge metal colanders, giant steel pots, enormous fermenting vessels, and a massive steam boiler stand covered in cobwebs and dust, their edges coated in rust and their support joints and screws popping and bending under years of neglect. At the west end of the room, the floor slopes down to large roller-doors that are chained and boarded shut and the southeast corner of the room holds three tables covered in empty bottles, faded labels, and broken glass. High above the room, thick oaken rafters span north to south and support enormous wooden arches that reach up thirty feet above the floor to the ceiling, the roof pock-marked with holes and bird’s nests.
However, he quickly spots three guard dogs patrolling in the inside.

Rogzul the Whisperer |
"I have one, but do not want to waste it on mongrals." Says Rogzul, frowning at the situation. "These dogs were trained to fight, it is not dishonorable to defeat them."
Rimble Sliffer |
I hate to hurt the dogs
"So, why don't you try to calm them? Maybe offering something to eat to them", Rimble suggests to the halfling.
"Despite this, I'm afraid that we can find more troubles beyond those poor dogs", he says thoughtful.
"well I have this spell...works well most of the time"
"Well, you convinced me! Let's get in. You first", the gnome points to the bloodrager.
@GM Zinou, can you post the map of the brewery, please? =)
Rimble Sliffer |
I was waiting to see what you wanted to do. Are you going in? Vires first?
Yup!
Vires Sangre |

Vires moves in but he chooses to run inside without care. Therefore, the dogs detect him before he can sap one.
@Vires: You didn't tell anything about being stealthy, so I'll count your action and roll as your first round actions. :)

Quicker than anyone, Vires rushes and kills one of the dogs right at the start of the fight!

Dogs
Angus Hammersmith |
Not dead, just unconscious. The sap deals nonlethal damage.
Not trusting Fang to avoid eating the dogs, Angus bids him stay and steps forward, using his scythe non-lethally. He steps up beside Vires and readies a non-lethal assault on the first dog to get in range.
Nonlethal Scythin': 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (18) + 5 - 4 = 19 for 2d4 + 3 ⇒ (2, 4) + 3 = 9 damage.
Rimble Sliffer |

GM Zinou |
Oh well, that was quick!
Rimble casts a defensive spell and the three dogs are quickly dispatched by the coordinated assault of Angus, Rogzul and Theadric, two of them are dropped unconscious, but Theadric's mighty charge splits the poor dog in a lot of little pieces.
At the same time, however, the halfling hears two people laughing and cackling above him and two arrows fly by Theadric, though only one hits. The two critters are goblins!

Please note that the goblins stand perched in the shadowy rafters above you. You can reach them climbing on the ladder.
...or flying on the back of your animal companion, who has a fly speed of 80-ft. :)
"The only one who asked to not kill the dogs exploded one of them?", Rimble is clearly surprised at the halfling's attack.
But it was not the time to think much more about it, two another adversaries appeared, and the gnome still have some tricks in sleeves.
The sorcerer flies as fast as Antoniollus can, when they get close to the goblins, a vivid cone of clashing colors springs forth from his hand in their direction, "do not go to sleep right now, gentlemen!", he taunts them.
Rimble will cast Color Spray over the goblins. Will DC 18.
Seytiko |
- Great, more gnomes. So ugly, you could curd milk with their faces.
Geniunly impressed with the swiftness of his allies, Seytiko cranks his light crossbow and shoots one of the goblins, closest to him.
Can't look at the map atm. Could you please adjust my position accordingly.
GM Zinou |
Ahem. Indeed, Rimble.
Red will: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4

xD okay, someday I'll be lucky with my GM rolls. Combat Over!
Rimble flies on the back of his roc and unleashes a blast of bubbles and both goblins fall down, unconscious.
As you check the area, you don't find anything noteworthy and when you check the last room, you find stairs climbing down. However, Theadric stops you, as he sensed a trap! marked on the map.

Theadric shrugs as Vires questions him hurting the dog. "I just said I hated to hurt them. I love animals. But if an animal needs to be put down, I think it's best to do it nice and quick."
He does look saddened, but pats his pony's head and prepares to continue on.
Rogzul the Whisperer |
"They are just beasts." Rogzul grunts as the party talks of dogs. "Is anyone going to disarm the trap?"

Vires shrugs "hay it's fine a lot of goblins have an issue with dogs too, not gong to judge. Anyone of that can disarm a trap now would be the time to do so thank you..."

Rimble Sliffer |
"Don't look at me, I don't know how to disarm a trap" Rimble says then he smiles, lost in his thought, "at least for now".
Rimble Sliffer |
Rimble tries to rescue the dwarf who has just been buried in barrels.
"Are you okay? I have a wand here that can help you", the sorcerer lends him a Wand of Cure Light Wounds, so the druid can heal himself with it.
@Angus, thank tou for 'disarm' the trap! You can use the wand whenever you want, just tell me how much charges you spent. =)
Theadric Greyhood |
Theadric looks in awe at Angus.
"Wow! That's a great way to disarm traps! I'll do the next one!" he says. "It could be fun to see who can disarm a trap without getting very hurt!"
GM Zinou |
You go down the stairs, I guess :)
The party slowly and carefully dismantles the pile of broken kegs, making a lot of noise in the process. Confident, Angus opens the door and leads the party downstairs without further incident.
This brick-walled room is fifty feet long and twenty-five feet wide and the ceiling stands twenty feet tall. Abandoned metal braces, likely once used to hold up shelves of items, are studded along the west and east brick walls. A fresh, new- looking wooden door is closed on the east wall. The entire room smells of unwashed flesh and possesses a faint, sickly- sweet odor. The room is unbelievably hot, a sharp contrast to the cold brewery above. Makeshift shelves stand on north and south ends of the room, some of them sparsely filled with books. A large, round wooden table sits in the middle of the room, surrounded by chairs. Along the entire length of the west wall are stacked cages, jars, buckets, bottles and various bits of masonry, all teeming with a wide variety of insects.
In the middle of the room is a dire rat that attacks Angus!
Besides, nearly everybody notices some dudes hiding behind the shelves in the back... Oh, the wonderful tactics...

Please note that you obviously can't run across the shelves. :)
Rimble Sliffer |
Rimble flies to a corner with Antoniollus and from there, he sends a magic missile against the rat.
Magic Missile: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
@GM Zinou, if the rat die in Angus's attack, the magic missile will be sent against the shirtless man.

Theadric rounds the corner quickly on his little pony and prepares to attack any enemy that comes toward him.
lance attack (cold iron)(favored enemy): 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 6 + 2 = 91d6 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 + 2 = 6

@Theadric: Sorry but your pony would stay above. I don't see him going down the stairs. No charge on ponny, then. And 15 ft movement. I put you back a few steps, and you can retcon your action.
@Seytiko: The rat was already dead. You can retcon your action (make a double move or cast a spell).
Angus kills the dire rat in one blow. A magic missile flies in the apparent leader's direction, hitting him squarely in the head. Rogzul curses one of his agent.

Seeing their cover busted, the three persons quickly come towards the party, waving their weapons. While the two thugs attack with their warhammers, Vermund stays at a good distance and throws a pebble at Seytiko's face, hitting him badly.
