In the heat, Aramis has wisely opted to shed her heavy leather coat, wearing her loose off-white blouse without its usual waist cincher. Instead, she has fastened her gun belt around her narrow waist (as opposed to her narrow hips), and the subsequent heightening of her rapier and sidearm appears to be a source of some frustration.

The opportunity for cold beer and a game to take her kind off things sounds like a godsend. "Well, tha' sounds a mighty temptin' offer. I'll follow ye."

Amos' dress remains unchanged. His wide brimmed hat offers some shade, and his salt encrusted trench coat sits comfortably on his shoulders.
He chuckles slightly at people calling it hot.
You people can't mean today! This is the first nice day I've seen in months!

Dwarf Druid (Shark Shaman) 5

"Sounds like a plan!" the dwarf grins in his oddly misshapen way.

"We need a bit a relaxin'!" And so it's at that point that the dwarf focuses on getting everyone to this bit of enjoyment.

"No sense sitting around here and waiting to get on the ship. May as well enjoy ourselves!" Doc added with a shrug and a chuckle. "I'm with you on the heat Indrana, this weather's nearly enough to cook a man, and I'd prefer to keep all of me as rare as possible. Nothing a cool drink won't cure though!"

The workers lead the group to the nearby boathouse, where another member is setting up the NINE pins. Clearly they practice quite a bit, because they are very good. After a few games, one of the workers goes over to a line that is running out into the nearby water.

As he begins pulling on the rope to reel in the keg and he is quickly taken aback as the rope begins to pull back. A nearby woman reaches out to grab the rope as well, but is too late and the man is ripped into the water and her grip on the rope isn't enough to take her away, but is enough to rip her hands up, leaving her a mess.

A loud scream, followed by thrashing is heard from the water and it seems he is not very deep, but he is not alone.

Thrashing continues...

Seeing something that appears to be attacking the man, Indrana doesn't hesitate to attack it.

If I get a good view of his attacker:
Throwing off a brief chant, Indrana holds her palm out and acid congeals into an arrow above it. She points at the creature which cause the arrow to fly towards it.
Acid Arrow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 222d4 ⇒ (3, 3) = 6 It will damage this round and next wound if it hits.

If she can't get a good view at the attacker:
Knowing she can't reliably hit whatever the thing is, Indranna quickly chants and a volley of glowing missiles spring from her outstretched fingers flying into whatever the creature is.
Magic Missiles: 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (2, 1) + 2 = 5

After her spell goes off, she moves back from the fighting.
Moving back to 45 feet from the creature.

Amos whistles with his fingers and preps his gun with experienced fluidity. His call is heard and Bullet is quick to answer. Amos levels his weapon at the water and waits for his faithful steed.

Thankfully, the DC was easy on that one...

The creature had not been trying to hide, it was on the attack. A long, snakelike creature with the face of a person attempts to finish the worker that it had grabbed.

Indrana easily spots the creature and launches the acidic bolt towards it. It stops it's assault on the worker.

The head pops out of the water, just in time for Amos's bullet to tear into it.

Knowledge (Arcana)DC 22:
This is a water naga. It has spellcaster abilities, and a poison bite. This one appears to be young....

Oooh, misfire! I'll just use the quick clear deed to take care of that.

A string of colourful curses spills from the captain's lips as the pulling of the trigger is accompanied by a telltale wet click, rather than the delightful loud blast she'd been expecting. Damned powder must've gotten wet when the thing splashed about. She takes a moment to quickly clear the barrel, cursing the performance of her firearm when she'd just spent so much time working on it.

"Leave some fer me, lads!" she calls warningly. "Been meanin' ta try tha upgrades on a movin' target!"

Dwarf Druid (Shark Shaman) 5

The watery terror rushes through the waves to attack this nasty creature, having no clue about its abilities but not really caring about more than saving his friend. The teeth glow red as the dwarf attacks this creature.

Damage: 2d8 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (5, 4) + 5 + 2 = 16

The shark-dwarf grins as the naga is now missing a seriously large chunk of flesh.

M HumanCONFIRM! Level 1 PBP GM

Ok, I'm going to have to do a little bit of retcon on that, as I was just resolved everyone's action up until that point and giving you a firm view of what you were fighting.

The creature reels itself out of the water and immediately whispers a few guttural words and clearly has cast some sort of spell.

Bullet arrives as Diabolito charges, only to get a taste of a bite from the snake on his way in.

After the bite, the creature takes the blow from Diabolito and roars with pain as the axe bites back. It seemed that his move in was enough to keep the creature from striking Cassius, who failed to land his own blow.

With no more combatants, she gives a low whistle of appreciation, quite pleased with how professional their new additions proved themselves. "Well done," she smiles, before speaking to the crowd at large. "Everyone all right up here?"

Assuming they are she will quickly go in search of the man that the naga pulled under, hoping to find him still whole and alive.

Amos is under water first. As soon as the monster falls, he holsters his pistol and puts his heels to Bullet who dives. He rides under water, seeking the snatched man.

Edit: Though Amos is under first, he is farther away so the good captain may reach the man first.

Dwarf Druid (Shark Shaman) 5

Whew! I had totally forgotten about saltbeard racial. Even with my normal shark AC of 14, the +2 dodge bonus against aquatic/water creatures means the attack just now misses! Hallelujah! I knew that would eventually be of use!

The shark Druid slips back at the very last moment from the teeth of the creature, the predatory gleam in his eye giving him just the necessary purchase to keep from a second stinging bite. The shark rises above the waterline, shaking the pieces of naga from his teeth, but there are obvious gashes in his own hide to evidence this fearsome battle.

M HumanCONFIRM! Level 1 PBP GM

Maera dives under the water after checking above deck, to find Amos scooping up the dockworker and bringing him to the surface. With a few ministrations from Doc, the man is breathing air again and it is clear that everyone has survived, though Diabolito did get one heavy strike that left him worse for wear, everyone is ultimately fine.

While the commotion was going on, one of the workers had run off to find Rickety. After everything begins to get settled down and Doc is working on Diabolito's wounds, dressing them and making sure the dwarf was not poisoned, Rickety comes walking up, shaking his head. "A damned naga attacked my people?!?" he says balking, but he can see that the workers have dragged the now headless creature up onto the bank (After they beheaded it) and had left the huge body laying out in the sun. Shaking his head, "I'll be damned. I'm shocked, I tell ya. Thank ye fer savin' my friend over there," he says with a nod to the dockworker who had nearly been taken. "I'll cut ya a deal. Five hundred off the cost o' yer squib." With that, he turns and walks away, quick to get back to work.

After being sewn up by their faithful sawbones, the dwarf chuckles, the motion barely making even his eye twitch despite the deep gash in his rough hide.
