Volreg Sundek |

"I do know! Here I thought I was going to be in a land of tongues I don't understand!" Grinning and shaking everyone's hand, the farmer speaks up, "Mi nombre es Volreg, y estos son mis compañeros. Si bien es posible que los hayamos comprado a todos como esclavos, no lo trataremos como tal, ya que creo que todos tenemos necesidades en las que podemos ayudarnos unos a otros. Nos gustaría zarpar hacia el puerto de El Jadida al sur de aquí. ¿Además, sabes qué barco pirata o quién te capturó? Es posible que cacemos un poco antes de llegar al puerto." While speaking he points to each of the members, "Ese gran hombre del norte es Wulfgar.

Mwikali |

"Um, Spaniard Slaves. That is unusual to me?"She says looking at the rable and shrugs."No women. Why couldn't we have gotten some women on the crew? Nevermind I forget about European sensitivities to sex. Almost as bad as the Arabs." She says shaking her head before she laughs.'
"We should also maybe teach these men to speak English? Also maybe if we plan on keeping them and the ship we should cloth them and maybe give them some training in weapons, and well give them weapons?"

Giovanna di Domenico |

Don't forget, Mwikali, sailing isn't usually a profession for women. A lot of nonsense about superstitions and such. I learned that on my father's forays to sell his wine. I suppose I can teach them a few basics of English. I'll keep it simple and related to the task at hand.

Mwikali |

"We should change that and get an all female crew. Think how terrified lesser minded men would be facing a ship full of fierce women!" she said giggling at the imagery of sailors or soldiers coming upon a ship full of women sailors baring weapons on them if they decided to board!

Volreg Sundek |

Turning towards the women, Volreg speaks up with a smile, "Personally, I wouldn't know what to do! It could be quite nightmarish, having a crew of women at sea." Chuckling, he shows the crew their quarters, explaining that they will all be treated fairly and as well as he could provide, as well as trying to calm down those who may not like the fact of being aboard.

Mwikali |

"I don't know the women make take a liking to Volreg he is young and handsome. They might keep him around to do the jobs they don't want to do"She laughs with Vanna as she looks to Kiku.
"Yes I know you are male too. No, I wouldn't let an all-female crew pluck out your feathers"

Kiku GM bot |

Hmph!! I should hope not!

Crewman of the Alanqilis |

In response to Volreg, one of the sailors answers: Gracias por liberarnos, señor! ¡Navegaremos en tu barco por ti, donde quieras!
To his fellow crewmen, in Spanish: We sail to Safi, but first El Jadid!
To Volreg in Spanish: Although we thirst for vengeance against the seadogs who captured us and sold us to the Arabs, we should hate to be the cause of any danger to you, our noble saviors... However, if you insist, I shall do my best to describe their ship and the captain of those pirates...
The crewman describes the pirate ship that boarded the Córdoban vessel as a Spanish galleon called El Tiburon, The Shark, with black sails bearing a white shark on them... The captain of the pirates was a tall, muscular, albino orc with a peg leg (left leg was bitten off by a shark), who wields an icy cold scimitar...

At around 6:00 in the evening of the 11th, the Alanqilis makes port at El Jadid to resupply...
Fresh lemons and limes are brought aboard to prevent scurvy, as well as barrels of freshwater for drinking, salted cod and other fish, and goat cheese... Deduct 10 gp from party funds for food and water...
At around midnight of the 11th, they arrive at the port of Safi...
The harbor master at Safi is a middle-aged Berber man, a bit surly at being awakened to perform his duty at midnight... He charges the adventurers a golden shekel for docking fee for the next seven days...

Volreg Sundek |

During the day
Chuckling at Mwikali's comment, "I may be scared as to what jobs would be given to me. I'm not that strong, but fairly nimble." Turning back to the other Spaniards, he confirms as to the markings and captain of the ship that had taken the sailors to be sold as so he could keep an eye out for the vessel.

THE ADVENTURERS AT THE DOCK IN SAFI
Note Lord Perpireen up on the turret in the foreground

Michael Johnson 66 |

The trek from Safi to Marrakech is about thirty leagues (85 miles) over hard pan desert. The party will want to purchase plenty of water skins, camels or mules, or Arabian horses, to make the journey, which should take about three days.
Camels cost 150 gp apiece
Ponies cost 30 gp apiece
Combat trained light horse cost 100 gp apiece
What kind of mounts do the party buy, and how many? Also food and water for 3 days travel in the desert for mounts and characters.,.

Lord Perpireen McGibel |

sits around and waits for the others to get there things.
"If you need me to carry anything I have my magic house, nit a lot but you never know"
He offers.

Wulfgar Ivarsson |
'Spanish reminds me a lot of latin, I should be able to learn it eventually.' Though needing to use Volreg to translate, Wulfgar found the Spanish sailors competent enough and enjoyed being at sea again for a couple of days. Once they arrived in Safi they leave instructions for the seven days. HE then purchases a tall mule and food for it hand himself for the three day travel.
Before they leave, Wulfgar asks, the team. ”Is there any way we can send a message to the crew? We only paid for a seven day berth.”

Volreg Sundek |

Volreg buys:
Mule - 8 gp
Saddle - 10 gp
Feed/water - 22.5 gp
Ship Fees - 1 gp
Crew Food/Water - 30 gp (15 days of common food/water for the Crew)
Leaving him with 26 gold and 3 silver.
The joys on not having to upgrade weapons! Yay!
Talking with the crew as to their stay at the harbor of Safi, the farmer goes out and buys some food and water for the crew, as well as adding in an extra week's worth of port fees before heading off to buy a mule, saddle, and food/water for himself and the group.
"I have no way of doing so, but I had paid for a two week stay at the port in the harbor, if they stay on the boat. There should be enough food and water for them as well, though I don't know as to what there is for them to entertain one another."

Zebracorn |

As the adventurers are haggling with the stable keeps over the prices of mules, a strange, exotic magical beast arrives at Safi, much to the amazement of the Islamic monks, who give the wondrous creature a wide berth, and gawk as it passes by...
It is a Zebracorn, a unicorn with the black-and-white striped pattern of the African zebra! It seeks out Mwikali with unerring precision, appearing just as she is about to make a decision about a mount...
In Kanuri: Do not spend your gold on one of these mounts, Daughter of the Land! I shall bear thee to Marrakech! The spirits have sent me in your hour of need!
The noble beast lowers itself before Mwikali to allow her to mount it!

Crewman of the Alanqilis |

Aboard the Alanqilis, the crewmen decide to be productive and use the dhow as a fishing boat during the days the adventurers are away, in order to supplement their provisions, and sell the surplus fish they catch to cover further berthage should the adventurers fail to return before two weeks have passed.

Lord Perpireen McGibel |

Lord P chuckles, The know how to deal with spider, he dives down right past the eight eyes of the Gaint Black widow spider flips over and lands on the things carapace.
Fly 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (10) + 18 = 28
He lands in the one place where the spider can't attack.
Grabbing some hairs he starts to ride it, like some crazy bug mount.
"Yee haaa Spidee, lets see where you can go."
He kicks his tiny legs into its body, to make it move to the left.
So AC is 24 but he really is a place the spider can't directly attack, so it can buck, witch is fine, but Lord P will just fly to stay where he is, it can roll onto its back, with a slime chance of crushing a tiny flying fay, and with the side effect of offering its belly to its lunch. it can burrow back into the ground, witch takes it out of the fight for a round of two, Or it can just ignore him, witch is not a good idea. As he dose have a dagger. So lets ride up cowboy YEeeHaaa hehe"

Wulfgar Ivarsson |
"Beware, Vermin behind as well!" Realizing a scorpion has joined in the attack from the rear, Wulfgar dismounts drawing his sword and steps toward the red and green scorpion. Raising the greatsword as he begins to rage, his appearance changes, the halo shines dull in the desert sun while his cast shadow dancing in the hot sand has wings like a seraphim. "Aaauuurrrrghhhh." Roaring, he slashes at the poisonous giant vermin.
move action: dismount, 5 ft step, Rage, AC -2 attack: MW great sword, power attack
