Altin, trying not to panic, sings a weird, wordless Traveller's tune, moving a hand back and forth in front of the slavering hyena that looms over him.

Vanna’s blade cuts deep into a hyena that already has one of Altin’s arrows sticking in it, and the beast seems to lose the will to fight, squeaking and whimpering...
Reduced to cowering instead of attacking Vanna...

Wulfgar Ivarsson
thank you for having him flank
'Blasted, beasts, this should set them running.' Bleeding from the bite in his leg, Wulfgar limps toward the nearest or most wounded hyena, raising his greatsword he slashes at the beast. Burying the tip of his sword in the dirt, he kicks at the mangy beast with his good leg, "Blasted fur-bag"
attack: greatsword: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 for damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (4, 4) + 6 = 14 LOL. I don't even think 'flanking' will help this time!

Mwikali
Mwikali Moves up Next to her companions."I believe that was just a warm-up. Let us take our fight to these Gnolls" She says gripping her spear shaft as she offers a hand to Altin
Wulfgar Ivarsson
'Well, at least the beasts were smart enough to run, not as well trained as I thought.' Turning to Mwikali, looking down at his still bleeding leg, and then pointing to Sulayman and Altin's wounds. "We got sloppy and moved forward when we should have shot these beasts at range. Now we must face their masters, wounded. If we go in sloppy and wounded one of us will die."
Then addressing the witch specifically "Can you heal us before we go in? Or are you going to lead with your spear while we cover the door?"
Volreg Sundek
"It looks like those dogs bite pretty hard. It does seem that whoever is controlling the dogs don't want to come out. We could come back later, after everyone has healed up, but then they will be expecting us," lowering his crossbow, he looks at Wulfgar and offers it to the man. "I may not be needing this for a bit, as it seems you need it more than I. We just need to be careful so no one dies." Pointing at the three injured adventurers, the farmer shakes his head, "Just be ready to run if we do this."
Lord Perpireen McGibel
"So who is hurt, I have 2 last uses of a heal wand."
2x Uses of CLW and, an dthen its dead, CLW1 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 CLW2 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 party can pick her gets what.
Then he flies over to the Cave entrance, and in all the languages he knows he calls out while under cover from the Gnolls.
"Gnolls, stay and we burn you out, GO and never comeback and we will not kill you"
he waits to see if they have the wit to understand.
Mwikali
"I prepared for combat, not to heal. Unlike a priest or cleric, I do not pray for the spells or change them to heal.I am more of what many Christians call a Witch" She says as she watches the tiny Lord heal the others.
"I have prepared spells of fire, to burn our foes! Let us get into the cave and kill these gnolls!!" Mwikali says as she smiles gripping her spear and heading into the breach.
"Besides I am more than just a spear Northman"
Altin Karela
Altin thanks Mwikali as she helps him up, then looks at his torn leg. "I don't think I can go on without some healing," he gasps in pain.
Who else is wounded? I'm at 3/9 hp, would love at least the 4 hp from the wand if no one else needs it more.
Wulfgar Ivarsson
Volreg
Waiving off the crossbow, Wufgar observes, "I should be able to do as much damage with my sling as I would the crossbow, I would rather use my sword anyway."
Mwikali
'Prepaired for combat? Sometimes prepairing to heal, when your the only one who can heal, is prepairing for combat.' Resting his greatsword on his shoulder, with his free hand, Wulfgar gestures to the cave enterance. "Well, if you are prepared for combat, don't let me stop you. Lead on. I will watch your 'not spear work' from the door here."
Volreg Sundek
"The cave looks dark, so if I can get some light on me, I can try to scout ahead, and hopefully lure the critters to come to me." Slinging the crossbow onto his shoulders, the farmer steps out front while focusing on himself for a bit. Touching Altin, Mwikali, Sulayman and Wulfgar, a wind of fresher air seems to flow about their bodies. "That should help with the dogs, and make it a little harder for them to know where you are." Pulling out his dagger, the farmer frowns slightly while stepping forward carefully.
Basic Aerokinesis to make sure Altin, Mwikali, Sulayman and Wulfgar are considered downwind for an hour for all those who have scent. I can roll a Stealth check if you want myself and Lord Perpireen to.
Wulfgar Ivarsson
Looking from Volreg to the sprite, then asking. "Why don't we let Lord P. draw them too us, or at least tell us where they are hiding." Nodding toward the healed fighters, he adds. "Move in slow, use spells and ranged when you can. I'll be fine in the rear, I'll keep you from getting flanked and possibly kill anyone trying to retreat. But if they run off that's as good as a death as far as I'm concerned."
Wulfar nods to Mwikali as she 'heads into the breach.' "Now that Lord P has used his wand to heal Altin he will be fine. That little scratch won't slow him down, go ahead, we will follow."

Lord Perpireen McGibel
Looks at them all. He takes a stick and in the sand makes a map showing them what is inside.
"You really like to do things the hard way. They'er in an enclosed space. Hiding. So we smoke them out, we have a means to make fire, and we should dos so at the entrance. A burning bed roll or cloak will do the job, just need smoke and lots of it. Once the cave starts filling up they will come out and then you can deal with them"
Blood-Lapper gnoll
As the adventurers are gathered around discussing the possibility of smoking the gnolls out of their cave, McGibel drawing a floor plan and marking the gnolls’ positions with a stick in the sand, one of the gnolls emerges from the darkness to peer out the cave entrance and have a look around...
The lone gnoll is about in the middle of the 20-ft-wide cave entrance, on the threshold... The adventurers are in a group about 20 feet west of the cave entrance when they see the gnoll emerge from the shadows! Go ahead and act in the established initiative order...
Yuk-yuk?
Volreg Sundek
Looking up from the plans, he sees the gnoll. Sparks begin to pop around the group for a moment before converging into the man's palm. Raising his hand towards the creature, a bolt of energy flies from his outstretched hand!
"It's rude to listen to others without their permission!"

Holding the bedroll that they are going to light, Wulfgar tears of strip of cloth off of the doomed bedding, tying it on his leg, "That's a little better."

Holding the bedroll for lighting while he watches Lord P. finish the map, Wulfgar smiles as the others dispose of the two Gnolls in quick succession. "See, you guys are doing fine."
