Remos moves to #7 and attacks.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13, 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25

Haldo and Numair check out the discussion thread when you get a chance.

Male Human Wizard 2 (Enchanter) Init +2, Per +1/+3, AC 12, TAC 12, FFAC 10, HP 14, Fort +2 / Ref +2 / Will +4

Numair goes to the door of the room, and fires off a force missile at one of the pugs.

Auto hit; damage 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Haldo hangs back, not wanting to fight in such close quarters.

Wuss :)

Yup ;)

Numair goes to the door of the room, and fires off a force missile at one of the pugs.
'Broken glass be damned!' Makin moves past Remos to attack the Pug that had a force missile just hit it, but misses.
Remos moves to the other pug and ends its life with little trouble..
Haldo hangs back, not wanting to fight in such close quarters.

Faysal continues his over watch.

Male Human Wizard 2 (Enchanter) Init +2, Per +1/+3, AC 12, TAC 12, FFAC 10, HP 14, Fort +2 / Ref +2 / Will +4

Numair holds his action until after Makin and Remos attack; if they succeed in killing the second pugwampi, Numair will do nothing further, obviously. If they fail, he'll launch another force missile.

1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Pass.

It doesn't look like Remos can get to the pug, so I'll wait.

The Pug attempts to climb into a cabinet but cannot get purchase on the old shelves.
Faysal continues to watch for trouble.
Makin continues to balance on the broken glass but is cut by a shard of old metal 2 damage while stabbing the remaining pug with his rapier killing him.
Remos stands watching his footing so as not to step on anything sharp.
Numair and Haldo watch while their mates finish the battle.

last map is still current minus the pug.

Male Human Rogue 2

'Gah, glass!'

'Well that's the kitchen sorted out. Shall we explore further into the monasteries bowels?'

I vote for the room with beds in the far southwest of the monastery, it looks isolated and empty, so we can check it off and not have it at our backs.

Makin begins to move down the hall, looking around for other signs of life.

Perception1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

Remos leaves the kitchen and walks east (going by the compass rose on the map), until he reaches the wall, then looks down the hall going north, listening carefully.

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16, 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

I'm guessing this will take four rounds to accomplish. If the noise of combat happens behind Remos before he gets to the wall, he'll stop.

"Good job," nods Haldo. He follows Makin into the hall.

Oops, sorry. I didn't mean to post as DM JZ.

You mean South EAST? Sure :)

Faysal tucks himself in to the south side of the statue/table/circular thingy, keeping his sling ready for a strike.

Woops! So I do!

Ten bunk beds in various stages of disrepair fill this chamber, which must once have been a dormitory for students. The roof is mostly intact, and an open arch in the north wall leads to a large hallway. The east and west walls both bear sturdy wooden doors leading to other rooms, and an open arch in the southeast corner of the room leads into a darkened antechamber, perhaps a large closet.

Map

Male Human Rogue 2

Makin ducks his head into the closet, and if he sees nothing, he returns to his companions, then follows after Remos.

Remos moves 15' west and opens the door into the unexplored room, forcing it open if necessary.

STR: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Haldo stays at the entrance of the closet, sword at the ready.

Male Human Wizard 2 (Enchanter) Init +2, Per +1/+3, AC 12, TAC 12, FFAC 10, HP 14, Fort +2 / Ref +2 / Will +4

Numair stays behind Makin, preparing a force missile for any signs of trouble.

Makin leans into the shadowy closet. The closet is the lowest (and now only) chamber in what was once a 40-foot-tall tower. All of the wooden floors and the old ladder that used to comprise the tower jumble the floor here in a collapsed mess. The roof of the tower fell years ago, leaving it open to the sky.

Remos easily pushes open the door and sees, a sagging wooden balcony overlooks this large room, which must once have been the monastery’s library. An overpowering odor of musty, rotting paper and old leather fills the air here, and hundreds of books—most too damaged even to open without destroying them—litter the floors. Empty bookshelves line the walls of both levels.

"Books you say?"

Faysal pads over to where Remos is standing, and begins searching the tomes for anything that has withstood the ravages of time.

Makin ducks his head into the small room beside the closet, ready to trot over to Remos and Faysal if its empty.

Perception
1d20+5

Although most of the books here crumble at a touch, one book is very well preserved. This unusual book is called Courts of Stone and Flame, and is a treatise on genies of the elemental planes.

for Faysal:
Spoiler:
When consulted before making a Knowledge check related to geniekind, the book grants a +4 bonus to the check.

The door is unlocked, but a profuse growth of fungus seems to have sealed the door shut.

Male Human Rogue 2

Makin tries to break in the door.

Alas, it is more stuck than you are strong!

Male Human Rogue 2

'I think this is safe at our backs, let's explore the rest of the monastery first and come back for this.'

At this Makin leaves, the room and begins to walk to the corridor on the far eastern side of the monastery.

"Little half-man read books. I find more gremlins." Remos says, walking back to and down the east corridor.

"Wait, let me have a go."

Haldo throws his shoulder into the door.

'No luck? Sounds like Remos, our new barbaric companion is stomping off to find voilence and adventure, perhaps he should follow after!'

Male Halfling Cleric of Irori 3

Faysal moves to the near end of the hallway

"Remos!!! Wait!!! WE shouldn't get separated. There may be worse than Pugwampis about!!"

Makin ibn Fahd wrote:

"Aye, let's go see what the man is up to."

Haldo Devaro wrote:

Strength 1d20+3

The door does not budge.

In front of Remos a long hallway extends north and another west. Both have large bas-relief sculptures all along the length of the outside walls. An arched opening leads into what seems to be an overgrown courtyard.

Map

Male Human Rogue 2

Makin jogs forward, 'Freind Remos, would you mind if I just had a quick look ahead of you, so that should any reprehensible, cowardly gnoll-folk try to ambush you, I can point them out, all the better for you to show them the sharp edge of your axe?'

Makin peers around Remos' broad frame as he speaks.

Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

Male Halfling Cleric of Irori 3

Faysal follows along at the rear of the party, keeping a sharp eye out for anything trying to sneak up from behind.

readied sling, as usual
