Abigail does her best to help the severely wounded. getting them in a condition they can travel.
I really do wish I knew where here was. But don't worry I am sure Sarenrae will guide us to where we need to be. She adds as she tends wounds and eases pain. she speaks in a soothing tone to fill them with hope and reassurance of rescue.
"If we're going to be here for a bit we may as well set up that tent we found. I doubt it's going to rain, but it'll keep the dust and condensation off our heads."
"Good idea, I'll go with you. Maybe we can find a way out of here."

Zakon quietly makes conversation with Garrett as they look for an exit. He casts Dancing Lights and moves them around the ceiling and walls looking for any crevices.
"What a vicious attack on our city today! I woke up ready to enlist as a crusader, don an uniform and celebrate the holiday. Now here we are lost in an underground cavern with little supplies. What does a Knight of Ozem turn to in times like these? Honor, duty or revenge?"
"Personally, I lean towards the latter. I find it is the purest motivation when performed within the law, but I am no advocate of murder unless we are at war. Perhaps these events will trigger a fifth crusade. The demon horde deserves to be extinguished for their crimes against humanity. I lost a friend in the fourth crusade, also a Knight of Ozem, so my grief as been amplified. He was a much better man than me..."
"Honor, duty or revenge?" Garrett shrugs, "I guess I'm a little more pragmatic. Right now I'm more concerned with survival. There will be time for the rest once we get everyone out of here safely."
Raising from her crouch, Katia joins the two would be explorers.
"Damn right, let's do something to get out of here while the mage looks at the scales."
With her thin voice and appearance of youth, she nods at the knight of Ozon wisdom.
"You're right and wrong. In here, even survival is revenge. any life saved is one that can participate in the future fight. That's one of the lessons I learned in the Wound. The second one is that all those fine words do not save your life once it's on the edge. You need to dig down there into your core and dig yourself out. Then the gods will smile on you."
With that, she looks round for a possible issue out of the cavern.

Garrett will take Horgus aside, "Guard your tongue sir. These aren't servants that you can dismiss and replace at will. I hope that I can count on your discretion in this matter."
"Sir, I will do my best to lead you out with the rest of the survivors. Let's not speak of rewards. As I said earlier, I don't imagine your house or much of anything else is standing in Kenabres and soon, if what happened to Sarkoris is any guide, not in the rest of the kingdom either. It could be that your title is all you have left of value and I wouldn't want to take that from you." Garrett shrugs then sighs." All I ask is that you try and get along with the others."
The three survivors are up and seeing only Abigail, introduce themselves to her, though with some complications.....
Human Woman:
"Anevia Tirabade is my name and despite my broken leg, I'm far from useless. I have some skill with the bow and I'm familar with Kenabres, though being underground could limit my help. I'm also handy with any traps or locks if you need me to. I'll appreciate your help in getting me back to the top side. My loved one will definitely be grateful as weill I."She reaches for her pack and pulls out a shortbow and strings it. She takes a look at Koba and her eyes narrows.
"You're a long way from home Kobold."Blind Elf:
"I am Aravashnial,a conjurer of some power. I am also a scholar on the study of magic, demons, their home and history of the world."Upon hearing Anevia's words.
"A Kobold? Here is Kenabres? I would dearly love to study you but I seem to have no eyes for it." self deprecating chuckles come from the elf "I have come across written studies on your kind, related to dragons or so your kind has being proclaiming. Some of you have being known to show arcane powers. Is it true your scales denote heritage? Does your relation to dragons make it easy for your kind to use their brand of magic? So many questions I have, perhaps you could allow me to question you as we travel back?"Human Male Horgus Gwerm:
Horgus snorts at the elf's rambling.
"Hush Aravashnial. YOur senseless prattling does us no good, your eyes have being taken, a pity. You should have lost your tongue. These fine heroes have agreed to esscort us back home and once I'm back, I shall see to their reward. Besides all of you need someone like me to lead you."Aravashnial retorts:
"Lead us you say, with your dealings I suspect any leading you do will lead us to one way. A way no one else would be interested in....."Horgus face reddens:
"Watch your tongue Elf, it's tongues like yours that bring us noble down especially with no proof..."Anevia cuts in before the two can argue any further.
"Enough you two!! We're already in dire straits as it seems. My wife is waiting for my return as is all our loved ones. Quarrel if you must....after we survive this....."
to the human warrior Anevia's introduction
Well it is nice to meet you Anevia, I am Abigail Merosa. Follower of the Dawnflower Sarenrae. I wouldn't put too much strain on that leg. it needs time to heal.
glancing toward the Elf Abigail was about to introduce herself but was cut short by the prattling of a loud mouthed noble.
I do not care about your rewards. Sarenrae has placed us here for a purpose. if anything this is a chance for us to look past our differences and prejudices, and work together to find our way home.
now all of us have talents but we also have our difficulties. we can all work together to find our way home we just might discover something about ourselves along the way. and for some that may be what is needed to be a crusader.
Garrett will leave the disgruntled noble where he stands and walk back over to Zakon so they can continue their reconnaissance.

"Wow. This is amazing! This scale... it is as I suspected! They are Terendelev’s scales! Not only has she saved us from certain death when she slowed our fall, she had the foresight to know of her own impending doom and infused these scales with power which will prove useful against demons!"
He noticed the other wizard had regained consciousness and approached him. "Master Wizard. These two evocation scrolls were found in the rubble. Undoubtedly they're yours by right but please excuse me for asking to borrow them. I'm a wizard myself -though not of your skill, I'm sure- and we may need them to get out of these caves."

"When you mean they have power, do they all have the same power? or did you only check one? and How do they work exactly?
Turning to Anevia, she replies taking out a full quiver from her pack and offering it to her. "If you think you could walk, even slowly, then we need to move. I've got spare arrows for your bow if you need as well and we recovered some."
Adressing herself to the whole group, she adds. "How do we want to proceed? Most of us seem to be able to walk without light except for Anevia and Master Gwerm. I can scout ahead of the group with one of you in support close by while the rest of the group keeps with the injured with a light on. If I see something I'll signal it to the second one and he can tell the group to stop before our light alerts someone."
Lethander thanked the wizard and kept near him, he had a lot of questions he wanted to ask the man. Wizards -especially the stronger ones- often were too busy, too arrogant or too closely aligned with groups in competition with your own to engage in conversation and share their wisdom and insights. But now they were together in a difficult situation, perhaps Lethander could talk to him and learn some things.
To the woman and the group in general, he replied "I've only had the opportunity to check one of them. Dragons have powerful magic and this is a rare feat even for them. They should work by just wanting them to work, it's easy.
The one I just checked has the ability to make it easier for a weapon to bypass some of a demon's, or other fiendish being's, resistances.
We should stick together and support each other. I've little use for the scale myself, I doubt my skill with the crossbow matches some of yours with your weapons. Who wants it?"
He paused a brief moment, contemplating Katia's plan. "Moving certainly sounds good, there appears to be little to gain from remaining here. But I wouldn't put too much faith in using the darkness to your advantage, if I were you. Any creature inhabiting these dark caves is likely to have as little trouble with the lack of light as yourself... And the same goes for demons, I'm afraid."
"Good. He's providing valuable intelligence. Please continue Aravashnial."
"You seem to know a lot about these fiends for an evoker. You're here for the crusade?", Lethander asked.
Abigail works to make the wounded as travel ready as she can. she seems disppointed that she could not do more.
If only i had my cart with all of my supplies you would all be doing much better by now.
Once people are good for travel Abigail will lead the blinded one listening to the ramblings, if anything it keeps his mind busy, and not preoccupied with despair in the current situation.
While she does not urge him on, she does her best to keep his ramblings directed toward her as it seems to interfere with the well being of some others.
In reply to Lethander, Katia only shrugs: "I'm not going to rely on darkness to hide myself, I can do it without. It's just that if we all use light, we will be noticed well before we notice anyone. If we have people forward of the light, we can have advanced warning as we will have a chance to notice creatures at the same time as they notice us."
Checking to see if every one is ready, Katia takes out her bow and flips open one of her quivers. "If every one is ready let's go and please keep the talk to minimum, sounds will carry really far in the dark."
"Can we splint Anevia's leg? Hopefully she will be able to get around if we can fashion a set of crutches."
Garret whispers, "Hold a moment." and casts detect evil
At will, a paladin can use detect evil, as the spell. A paladin can, as a move action, concentrate on a single item or individual within 60 feet and determine if it is evil, learning the strength of its aura as if having studied it for 3 rounds. While focusing on one individual or object, the paladin does not detect evil in any other object or individual within range.
Lethander was staying close to the wizard, hoping to be able to speak to him some more. If the rest weren't interested in learning about their greatest enemies, that was their own mistake but not one Lethander was thinking about making too.
When the spider appeared, he drew his crossbow. Using the much more powerful spells didn't seem appropriate at the moment.
"Stay where you are standing, Master Wizard. No harm will come to you."
Katia moves to intercept Horgus and put herself between the spider and the clueless merchant. "Master Horgus, stop, it's still moving. Look at it's sides"
"What say we shoot it and, if alive, finish it just to be on the safe side?", Lethander suggested. "It's a dangerous animal, We don't want to be constantly watching our back on our way, uhm, out... hopefully."
Standing at a safe distance, he had his crossbow aimed at the creature's sides and his fingertip rested on its trigger.
"It isn't inherently evil. If we leave it alone it may leave us alone in turn." Garrett will ready an action to shoot if it attacks.

"Either way it would be more humane to ease its suffering. No different than a horse with a broken leg. We should not risk the safety of others and leave it be.". Looking for a nod, he readies for an attack upon approach. The knight is compassionate and not a soulless mercenary. A good flaw to have in a traveling companion.

Garrett raises an eyebrow, "Stawarts?"
Abigail barely realized what was happening before it all ended. she was relieved that it was handled so readily.
after the small bout, Abigail goes to see if Anevia has aggrevated her leg in the fight.
seeing that a single arrow shot did nothing to really make thing worse she breathes some relief.
still she tries to re-work her splints to better facilitate her combat abilities.
"Wow. With his survival instincts and common sense on the same level as his people skills, it's a wonder that man had managed to stay alive.", Lethander said quietly to the people closest to him, mainly the wizard.
He lowered the crossbow but didn't put it away or remove its bolt.
"So, studying the Worldwound and demons? Not much unlike myself then. I've been learning about it, the planes and its inhabitants for years now and realize I've still only scratched the surface."
Katia looks at the ground in front of both tunnels, trying to see if one has been used recently or if there is any marks or indication of what they lead to.
"Let me have a look. But if there's no indication of what is in these tunnels, we'll have to start with one. in that case, I'll suggest the southward one."
