And the low rolls just keep on coming :) at least it wasn't a one.

BONUS:
For those that post at least once per day for the rest of September I'm offering the following, which comes into being on October 1, your character will get the +1 bonus for Favoured Class bonus to BOTH hit points and skills for all levels, and is fully retroactive should we CLANG to level 1 by then.
Game on!
Tentacledone
Presumably, could just behind on bills, and lost internet access. We haven't hit a combat section, and are still playing around in the prequel stuff, so rather than ditch Lilith, than have her player show back up, I'm just putting her in NPC mode. If I don't hear anything from Kane relatively soon, then the character is gone.
Sorry about the late post, been really tired from work last few days, and it caught up with me today.

So, what stats are we using for our (mostly) adolescents? Do we have skills? BAB? Saving throws?
Tentacledone
Okay, so we are still using the Child stats for the time being, all skills are considered untrained, but you still get the rank you have put into that skill (like perception, stealth, etc, we're just losing that nifty +3 bonus). BAB's and Saves are at 0, unless you have a trait/starting feat that gives it a bonus (like taking Great Fortitude, or Iron Will at character gen.)
Jason, if you could PM your email addy, I can add you to the email chain we use. My phone doesn't create a secure connection with Paizo when I try to post with it, so we have an email thread we chat in. Like last night, I tried to answer Mike's questions, and my phone basically laughed at me. It's such a dick.

Awesomeness!
Thankyee kind sirs!
oh, and I posted.
And did anybody else catch Dorian getting to the matter at fang(so cheesy, I lol'd)...
Even magic can't handle that nat 20 :P
And I should check over Ssilax, I can't remember if I ever finished switching his class all the way. I think I just had the magic left to do.

" Sir do you think we're being to literal? "
" No you idiot! He told us to comb the desert, so that's what we're doing."
" Found anything yet?"
" Nothing Sir!"
" Have you found anything? "
" No Sir! "
" How about you guys? "
" We ain't found Shit!"
That's about how I feel about my perception checks lately

Oh, concerning magic. I figure that the casters would have 1 mana point, allowing them use of their cantrips/orisons. However, we aren't quite up to the 1st levels spells. Sound fair to the other caster? :)
Works for me.
Argon Alma
For me, I've rolled two d20s this game so far, and their sum natural total was 2.
Things can only get better!
What do you mean by mana? Are you finger-wiggling types using mana?
Wrathe Sepai
A 4 and a 5! My rolls are getting better!
My technique is never to roll. That way I never can fail...or uhm, succeed...wait a second!
Tentacledone
Oh, I notice he moved to the head of the group :P It was just addressed in my last post.
Yeah, the rolls have been rather on the extreme side from what I have noticed of late. Either really low, or really high. Nice job on the nat 20, BTW, it helped to speed up the scene at the wall :)

I have enjoyed my own characters most when they had some quirky weakness. Not necessarily a 'drawback' but some personality issue that speaks to roleplay. I have one monk who is a drunk who wakes up in alleys, smelling like wine and shit. And a paranoid goblin inquisitor who likes to eat frogs and snails.
It's hard for me to give my characters weaknesses, as I have a tendency to make them as heroic as possible. Loki and Russ are much better at it. With Argon, I'm attempting to treat one of his drawbacks as a real character flaw; the other will come later, when he gets religion.
Tentacledone
I think your doing fine, and thanks for the compliment :) I also find it very natural to want to make characters as heroic as possible. Giving your character a chink in their armor (whether physical or mental) is surprisingly hard to do. We want our characters to best around.
Which is why adventures, even with drawbacks and flaws tend to be the type of people who overcome their drawbacks. Or at least, don't let their flaws control them. Something might scare, bother, upset them, but they will still push through. I think that most of gamers tend to play the people who will who don't end up bowing to their flaws or problems in the end. It's just another facet in the characters personality.
That being said, we are all here for a good time and and some quality roleplaying. So in my mind, unless it's an addiction, trait flaws should never cripple your enjoyment of a character. Just adds a little spice to the formula :)
Synxol
It might just be me, but this game has a special something to it, as we are really establishing personalities that make these characters larger than life.
I really dig how Argon's meticulous nature had forced Dainoth to shoo him along to join the others. I'm a fan of anything that makes the character more 'real', and that scene certainly made that mission accomplished.
Something I have been toying with is a positive and negative character trait, but player crafted. Balance becomes a worry, which is why I was reticent to dive into it. These would be things to add to the play, and round out the character, not things to affect the character's play overly.
Firefly and Shadowrun have some fun stuff for this.
Some of my favs (think of the roleplaying possibilities)...
Tentacledone
I really like how everyone has been working their traits into their characters mannerisms. I think Daxniss having a leftover taint from being marked by the Stalker is working very well.
Starting with the characters at a younger age, rather than just starting at level one, has been a fun experience. It seems to me that it has worked to in our favor, allowing more time to shape the character from the ground up.
It looks like everyone has been enjoying themselves as well (pats self on back). Which is a good thing, because rolling has been almost nonexistent so far, as well as full character abilities. This was made a bit easier since everyone here enjoys roleplaying, and PBP allows players a bit more freedom with the characters.

So is Lilith gone? No post in 15 days...
If I don't hear anything from Kane relatively soon, then the character is gone.
Last post was August 28. I say give them until the 19th. If they cannot find a single Internet connection by now (library? someone's smartphone? message spell?) then they've been eaten by an octopus.
Now the question of whether to write Lilith out, turn her into a reoccurring enemy (she has evil on lock!), or kill her so horribly that it acts as a warning to all that come after her....
Argon Alma
Question about languages. Argon had not chosen undercommon as one of his languages, but it is on his list, and he could have taken it instead of Aklo or Sylvan.
Is that how we're running with this?
Tentacledone
Sure, being a city kid, ditch Sylvan.
Every time I open the page to post, I see Dorian's "This is just an observation mission!", and laugh. I'm not sure the rotters care, but I think it's hilarious!
The 19th sounds fair to me. The internet is not that hard to find. I'm fairly certain that you can get internet access in jail. Limited, monitored access, but access none the less.
Argon Alma
Done.
(Besides, I think internet access is a prerequisite for play by post games...)
Argon Alma
Oh, apologies, I thought Dorian was in the room (because I thought the second ward was closer to the room. Rereading as cured me of that.).
So yes, Argon will stay in the room in stead of moving back into the tunnel.
Tentacledone
Nah, Undercommom was going to end up being a bonus language for those who didn't take it. Originally, it was going to be a bonus, Wrathe and Ssilax were going to teach it over the course of the 8 years that they where growing up. For those who already knew Undercommon a different bonus language was going to be picked (like Wrathe learning celestial from Ssilax, and him learning halfling from Wrathe).
So, how is everyone finding the pacing of the Crawlspace? I hope it's somewhat intense, possible TPK aside. I'm aiming to go with that "Page turner" effect. "OMG! What's going to happen next!" Side effect of going back and rereading posts, I tend to read it like a book, lol.

Don't make me quadruple dare, cause I'll do it!
Argon Alma
I think faster, vertically down, is the turn we have just taken. Not that I am asking for that to stop too suddenly...
